Tom Brady’s Netflix roast included jokes about the end of his marriage to Gisele Bündchen, his alleged use of plastic surgery and the Deflategate scandal, but no comedian roasted the NFL icon for once kissing his son on the lips.
A 2018 documentary about Brady went viral that year for footage of Brady kissing his 11-year-old son Jack on the lips. Brady was mocked on social media as a result and the moment sparked a larger debate about parents’ affection for their children, especially because he asked for a second kiss from his son after saying the first one was just a “peck.” To some viewers’ surprise, the topic of Brady kissing his son never came up during the roast.
On a new “Comedy Bang Bang” episode, comedian and acclaimed Brady roaster Nikki Glaser revealed the group all made the collective decision not to crack jokes about Brady kissing his son.

After knocking her set out of the park at last week’s roast of Tom Brady, comedian Nikki Glaser has been discussing the controversial live TV event, including new regrets from the former New England Patriots quarterback to the live ribbing marathon, and how she received a note from Kim Kardashian calling the experience a form of “abuse.”
Following the May 6 roast of The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, Brady said on The Pivot Podcast that he enjoyed when comedians took humorous jabs about nearly all aspects of his life but that he didn’t care for the jabs aimed at his family, adding that the comments impacted his children, “the people [he] care[s] about most in the world.”
“I feel like maybe he didn’t consider the backlash from his family and how it would affect them, and I do understand that,” Glaser said on Wednesday’s Today with Hoda and Jenna.

Since Tom Brady’s Netflix roast, viewers have speculated about how much the NFL star truly was upset over Jeff Ross’ joke that alluded to Patriots owner Robert Kraft being charged with soliciting prostitution after an investigation into massage parlors in Florida.
Now, comedian Andrew Schulz, who participated in the roast, is saying that he believes that uncomfortable moment “was 100 percent real.”
“The reason why I think it’s real is because they told us no jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft,” Schulz said on his Flagrant podcast.
Schulz explained that he had a joke about former Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss receiving a “happy ending” from Kraft. “They were like, ‘Tom asked us not to do anything with the massage shit,'” the comedian recalled. “I was like, ‘All right, cool. Comedian Andrew Schulz revealed on the “Flagrant” interview series that he was instructed not to make jokes at Netflix’s Tom Brady roast related to Robert Kraft’s 2019 arrest for soliciting prostitution in a Florida massage parlor. Charges against Kraft were dropped the following year. When Kraft’s attendance was confirmed at the event, roasters were allegedly told not to make jokes about “happy endings” in relation to the Patriots owners.
“When Tom checked Jeff Ross, I think that was 100% real,” Schulz said. “The reason why I think it’s real is because they told us no jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft. I had a Bob Kraft [joke] … Tom asked us not to do anything with the massage shit.”

17,000 fans. The reunion of an American football dynasty and the coach no one expected to show. Televised live around the world while the reputation of a man considered “the greatest of all time” sits in the hands of savage comedians and one-time foes. What could go wrong?
But here we are, just days after Tom Brady took to the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles for Sunday’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time,” and the walls are still standing. For decades roast comedy has been a beloved national tradition, once shepherded on TV by Comedy Central. It was a show that often targeted Hollywood legends or zeitgeist icons. It took the willingness of Brady, who holds a record 7 Super Bowl rings, to reinvigorate the format for streaming under host Kevin Hart. And not just any roast, which would typically be shot on a Hollywood backlot and edited ahead of its premiere.

The televised roast is one of the most unique and controversial forms of comedy the American entertainment industry has helped popularize. For decades now, public figures from all walks of life have willingly sat in front of an audience of their peers and the general public and allowed seasoned comics to mercilessly mock various aspects of their lives and careers.
The latest public figure to join this tradition is football legend Tom Brady. The star NFL athlete was the subject of a roast by a set of comics led by Kevin Hart and Jeff Ross. Unfortunately, aspects of the roast are said to have disappointed Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. The popular supermodel is said to feel that the way the roast played out once again proved that Brady cares more about his career than their time together.

Nikki Glaser is giving her take on the viral moment between Tom Brady and Jeff Ross during The Greatest Roast of All Time.
As the roast kicked off on Netflix, Ross mentioned an incident involving Patriots owner Robert Kraft that triggered Brady to get off his seat and tell the “Roastmaster General” not to “say that sh** again.”
Glaser, one of the featured comedians, is now sounding off on that confrontation.

Sunday’s live Tom Brady Netflix roast quickly made headlines when comedian Jeff Ross made a joke that alluded to Patriots owner Robert Kraft being charged with soliciting prostitution after an investigation into massage parlors in Florida.
Though Brady told Ross at the podium, “don’t say that shit again,” Ross now says the NFL star wasn’t that upset about the joke.
During the Netflix special, Ross said of Brady’s early days with the Patriots, “So Tom became a Patriot and moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft‘s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made. Would you like a massage?’”

One of the most viral moments to emerge out of Tom Brady’s Netflix roast was when the NFL icon got up from his seat and told off roaster Jeff Ross after the comedian made a massage joke about Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Brady was heard telling Ross: “Don’t say that shit again.” But according to Ross, Brady was not actually pissed off at him.
“Come on, come on, no way, no way,” Ross said on “The Rich Eisen Show,” downplaying that Brady got angry at him for the Kraft massage joke. “He was having fun. You know, it’s like that’s his dad. Robert Kraft is like a father figure to him, he was just showing his love for Robert Kraft. And Robert Kraft loved it. We had a great talk afterwards. He was so happy that I gave him a shoutout and a salute. It was beautiful.

The Kia Forum hosted Netflix’s live special The Roast of Tom Brady on Sunday. Comedian Jeff Ross sparked an uncomfortable moment during his joke about New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and retired quarterback Tom Brady.
During his segment, Ross poked fun at Brady being the 199th NFL draft pick. “He sat there for days, waiting and waiting, and then you were finally picked in the sixth round when Bill Belichick’s dog stepped on the keyboard by accident,” Ross said.
Ross later said Brady told Kraft, “I’m the best decision your organization has ever made.” The audience laughed and applauded until Ross said, “Would you like a massage?”
The joke references Kraft’s 2019 Florida arrest for soliciting prostitution in a massage parlor. The charges were dropped a year later. Brady and the audience appeared uncomfortable. Brady sat front and center on stage while Kraft sat in the audience.

Tom Brady took the jokes in stride at his roast — well, most of them.
Amid jabs about Gisele Bündchen, deflategate and his good looks Sunday night, Brady bristled at one in particular, aimed at the Patriots’ 82-year-old owner, Robert Kraft.
During his turn onstage, Jeff Ross quipped: “So Tom became a Patriot and moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft‘s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made. Would you like a massage?’”
Brady then approached Ross, who’d blown a kiss Kraft’s way, and said in his ear: “Don’t say that shit again.” Ross replied, “Ok, Ok. He’s having fun, look at him. I love what you do for the Jews, Robert Kraft. You’re incredible.”

NFL Sunday Ticket subscriber Leo Tolstoy once wrote, “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” That’s an apt summation of the New England Patriots during their championship run in the first two decades of this century. There were six Super Bowl wins, but everyone — particularly quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick — seemed to be on an endless deployment aboard the Hms Misery. Proud of their accomplishments? Absolutely. Enjoyed the ride? Not so much. Eventually, Brady jumped ship for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jon Bon Jovi was the man of the hour at the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala on Friday, where the rock star was celebrated by a tribute lineup that included Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain, Melissa Etheridge, Jelly Roll, Damiano David and Sammy Hagar.
The Bon Jovi frontman was awarded the annual honor for his artistic achievement in the music industry and dedication to philanthropy. Proceeds from the gala support MusiCares, the leading music charity offering health and human services to music professionals.
The event — held in downtown Los Angeles right across the street from where Sunday’s Grammys will take place — began with an auction that included two Bon Jovi-related items: a volunteer day and dinner with the star at his Jbj Soul Kitchen restaurant in New Jersey and a tasting of his Hampton Water Rosé wine in East Hampton, with the musician and his son Jesse. The Super Bowl ad roster is usually filled with commercials for beer, candy and snacks. There will also be at least one focused on something more serious.
The Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, an advocacy group backed by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, will run a 30-second spot during CBS’ February 11 broadcast of Super Bowl Lviii, ensuring that a serious note will sound amid many silly ones.
Kraft’s group launched its efforts in 2023, committing at least $200 million to fight hatred against Jews in the U.S. The group says 3,291 antisemitic incidents were reported in the U.S. in the last three months alone, marking an increase of almost 400%. The commercial will call upon viewers of all backgrounds to stand up against prejudice and hate against Jews.

Roku Channel has cut a deal with actor B.J. Novak’s ChainFest to air an hourlong special about the food festival that celebrates the culinary creations of chain restaurants.
Novak and chef Tim Hollingsworth created what is billed as an “immersive dining experience” that celebrates the pleasures of fast food and fast casual chain restaurants such as Chili’s, Panda Express, Pizza Hut, Red Robin and more. The event turns the tables on most food festivals by embracing the mass appeal of burgers and fries and such. The concept began in 2021 with a series of stealth pop-up events around Los Angeles. The first ChainFest was staged Dec. 1-3 in Hollywood at Nya Studios.
“We love chains. And it’s not just their playful trademarked dishes or silly mascots that we love, it’s that they have deep emotional resonance with hundreds of millions of people, across generations, across backgrounds. It’s...

A dominant sports dynasty descends into a tense relationship between NFL coach Bill Belichick, star quarterback Tom Brady and team owner Robert Kraft in the trailer for Apple TV+’s The Dynasty: New England Patriots, which dropped on Tuesday.
The 10-part series from Imagine Documentaries is based on a best-selling book by Jeff Benedict and chronicles the rise and historic 20-year run of the Patriots during the celebrated Brady-Belichick-Kraft era. But the docu-series directed by Matthew Hamachek also exposes an apparent tense undercurrent surrounding the team.
“There’s things that were done that can’t be undone,” Brady says in an interview during one point in the trailer against game footage of Belichick tossing a water bottle in anger on the sidelines.
Benedict spent two years with the Patriots while writing his book, which was published in 2020. The filmmakers behind the Apple TV+ series also had access to the team during the 2021 season,...

Former New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady, coach Bill Belichick, and the NFL team’s owner are featured in Apple TV+’s The Dynasty: New England Patriots documentary series. The teaser trailer doesn’t provide any details on the docuseries, but fortunately the streaming service has released a decent synopsis of the 10-part docuseries.
“Directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Matthew Hamachek (Tiger), The Dynasty: New England Patriots chronicles the rise and historic 20-year run of the Patriots during the Brady-Belichick-Kraft era. The docuseries is based on the critically acclaimed New York Times bestselling book of the same title by author Jeff Benedict, and goes deeper, drawing on thousands of hours of never-before-seen video footage and audio files from the Patriots organization’s archive,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis. “In addition to interviews with past and present Patriots players, coaches, and executives, the unparalleled access includes Kraft, Belichick, Brady, and confessionals...

Stars: Roberto Scorza, Alex D’Alascio, Daniele Arturi | Written and Directed by Poison Rouge, Domiziano Cristopharo
Taking its title from the 61 names found in a notebook when he was arrested, 61: Scorecard Killer is based rather loosely on the crimes of Randy Kraft. Kraft was convicted of the rape and murder of sixteen young men and is suspected of fifty-one other killings. Kraft was arrested in 1983 after police pulled him over for a suspected DUI and found a dead body in his car’s passenger seat.
The biggest difference between fact and fiction is that directors Poison Rouge and Domiziano Cristopharo have updated the film to the present day. We see this right away in the prelude, as Randy, uses his smartphone to print out photos of murder victims to post on his wall and dance naked in front of.
And this is as good a time as any to mention...

The NFL legend is set to be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame next spring.
Tom Brady shared a major milestone with all three of his children over the weekend. The NFL legend returned to Gillette Stadium for the season game opener of his former NFL team, the New England Patriots.
Clad in his old No. 12 jersey, Brady was honoured by team owner Robert Kraft for his two decades of contributions to the team. Brady famously served as the Patriots quarterback for two decades before moving to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the final three seasons of his career. Brady, who is widely considered to be the greatest football player of all time, retired from the sport last season.

Tom Brady started his first season as a retired football player in perhaps an obvious place - a football game. Tom brought his three kids - Jack, 16, Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10 - with him to the New England Patriots game on Sunday, Sept. 10, where the franchise honored him during halftime. Tom was the team's quarterback from 2000 to 2019, ultimately winning the Super Bowl six times. He eventually left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won a final Super Bowl in 2020 before finally retiring at the end of the last season. All three of Tom's kids - wearing his jersey - smiled alongside his dad as he was honored by the team and its owner, Robert Kraft.
"Nobody 23 years ago would imagine that this journey would bring us here today," Tom said during the ceremony, according to NBC Boston.
"All our lives take us on different journeys. They take us to different places.

Despite Disney and Charter Communications’ refusal to budge in their heated carriage dispute, Deutsche Bank remains hopeful that the two parties will ultimately make concessions in order to reach a “mutually beneficial agreement.”
“We expect Disney to concede its (aggressive) demand for increased carriage minimums and potentially its demand for a longer duration agreement,” analysts Brian Kraft and Ben Soff wrote in a note to clients. “In exchange, we expect Charter to pay Disney’s asking price per subscriber and concede its (unrealistic) demand for Disney’s streaming apps to be included for free to Charter customers subscribing to packages that contain Disney’s linear networks.”
Kraft and Soft said they expect an agreement would allow Charter to distribute Disney’s streaming apps through Xumo, the company’s streaming joint venture with Comcast expected to launch later this year.

Netflix is the first major streamer to report quarterly earnings to Wall Street amid Hollywood’s historic double strike. On Wednesday, analysts will be keenly watching to see how co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters present what investors hope will be a return to growth as its ad tier and password-sharing crackdown spur new subscriptions.
Striking writers and actors will be looking, too, as they argue for what they say is a fair share of profits from streaming.
The direct effects of the first double strike in more than 60 years won’t be visible in the June quarter, which ended before talks between the studios and SAG-AFTRA broke down. But Sarandos and Peters will likely face questions about the impact on the company’s financials and strategy in the months ahead.

As the competition grows stiffer with each episode, we can expect that some of the up-to-now darlings are going to feel the heat.
It seemed as if the same people were going to eliminations week after week, and many of the faces we've seen haven't had to go head-to-head in the eliminations very often, if at all.
But it looks like Chef Shay might find himself in the hot seat with his latest dish.
It looks a little like a flank steak or skirt steak and baked macaroni and cheese.
As much as I love to eat, I do not know the cuts of meat to see them, but if it is flank or skirt steak, they aren't easy cuts of meat to work with in a timed setting.
The macaroni and cheese looks like dressed up and baked Kraft, but that can't be right!
Geez, the more I talk about it,...

And we're back to form with an hour more cemented and cohesive than A Million Little Things Season 5 episode 7.
We got some movement in A Million Little Things Season 5 Episode 8, which mostly touched on many of the characters' story arcs for the season, which is a plus as we hurdle toward the series finale.
Although Maggie, Professor Kraft, and Rome were in some type of competition over who could be the most annoying.
They've relied heavily on Inez to be the supportive older figure in Maggie and Gary's life as they continue to navigate parenthood and their jobs.
Inez has been worked into their home, but it has some difficulties.
It's mainly due to Maggie, who struggles with Inez's presence and what it says about her as a mother, that she's leaving Javi to return to work.
In some ways, I'd like to revisit Maggie's parents or even work in...

During a podcast interview in 2018, actor and foodie B.J. Novak teased an idea he had for a chain-themed restaurant that would, contrary to the fundamental business model of chain restaurants, consist of a single brick-and-mortar location. It would be a nostalgia play, drawing on a collective wistfulness for the menu items and now-kitschy aesthetic elements that define iconic, ubiquitous American food chains like Taco Bell, Tgi Fridays, Outback Steakhouse, Chili’s and the like.
Two years of ideating later, by 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic (and the subsequent wave of outdoor dining) forced Novak and his team to pivot from their initial idea to start a sit-down restaurant in Los Angeles and instead launch temporary pop-ups in parking lots around the city in March 2021, with chef and Chain co-founder Tim Hollingsworth in charge of the rotating menu and kitchen. Since then, Chain has undergone a series of further evolutions. In its current iteration,...

Long ago, before the Marvel Cinematic Universe's gargantuan interconnecting list of films and Disney+ shows, there existed Universal Television's "The Incredible Hulk" series. Although it seems quaint in comparison to today's mega-budget superhero fare, Kenneth Johnson's science-fiction drama hybrid was a major ratings hit and was one of the earliest success stories regarding a live-action comic book adaptation. The popularity of the series, as well as the strange legal tension between Marvel Comics and its licensing partners, is why Stan Lee rushed to create a She-Hulk before Johnson could.
In the '70s, Marvel Comics had sold the rights to a handful of its characters to the separate company of Universal Television. Besides the Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Namor, and the Human Torch were also on the studio's bracket. Johnson, who had already found success with Universal's "The Bionic Woman," initially wasn't interested in adapting any of these...
