Lara Binamé

- Producer
Fascinated by the human experience and visual arts, Lara's innate creative curiosity was nurtured from an early age.
Her parents both creative professionals (her father, an acclaimed film director and her mother, an established freelance commercial producer), as well as European immigrants-she was born and raised in Montreal, QC, is fluent in English and French-and is of British, Belgian and Scottish descent.
She spent her early twenties building a first career working as a freelance copywriter-quickly making strides through the creative marketing world. Over time, her work caught the eye of prominent companies-leading to collaborations with clients such as Visa, Porsche and The Canadian Cancer Society. In 2015, she launched an online magazine dedicated to showcasing mavericks from all walks of life through her writing and photography. During this time, she also began creating and directing short film content pieces exploring comedic and socially inclusive themes.
In 2016, a sharp shift in focus towards pursuing acting came as a natural transition.
Training out of her her hometown, she booked a first role in the Sanchez Brother's feature film Allure (2017) during her third audition, followed by Braqueurs (2016) and The Detectives (2018), soon thereafter.
Following Allure's premiere at TIFF, she moved to Toronto in 2017, where she continued to secure roles on TV shows such as The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair (2018), Taken (2017), Good Witch (2015), Clarice (2021) and the highly acclaimed FOX TV series, Accused (2023).
As she continued to support herself through her writing, in 2023, she launched a film production company-Riveride Pictures-serving as a trampoline to co-write, co-produce, as well as direct feature film Peach & Penny, in which she will be playing one of two lead roles.
