James Mason was born in Huddersfield and had a film career spanning over 50 years during which he appeared in over 100 films in England and America but never won an Oscar. Whatever role he played, from the wounded Belfast gunman in Odd Man Out to Rommel in The Desert Fox, his creamy velvet voice gave him away. Like Charlie Chaplin James left the screen to spend his later life living in Switzerland. His first marriage had been to Pamela Kellino, a Yorkshire mill owner's daughter and his second to Australian actress Clarissa Kaye.- Actor

Buster started training at the age of eleven in traditional Wado Ryu karate and moved into freestyle, a move which would map out his life for the better. Under the guidance of his Instructors he claimed the British junior title and a place in the "Guinness Book of Records" for the most kicks done at head height in a minute (218, later shattering it to complete 256) at age thirteen, the fighting title he held up to the change to senior level at sixteen and he still holds the Guinness record.
Dominating the men's division from the young age of eighteen he went to Florida to compete in "Gold Coast Classic" which he won in spectacular style against the four time champion. At age nineteen was ranked number one in Europe and at twenty captured the world middleweight ju-jitsu title in New Zealand, the world light-heavyweight title in West Virginia U.S.A at twenty-one and the world heavy-weight title in Reno, Nevada U.S.A at twenty three. Retiring for a short while at twenty five un-defeated in all three weight divisions to concentrate on a stunt career, Buster has been fortunate enough to have worked on a number of blockbuster movies with an extensive background in the martial arts also boxing, gymnastics (county squad) and high diving (north of England champion).- Actor

Kenneth Waller was born on 5 November 1927 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), Are You Being Served? (1972) and Bread (1986). He died on 28 January 2000 in London, England, UK.- Yorkshire-born Zoe Lucker has been on our screens a lot in recent years in TV dramas such as "Holby City", Trial & Retribution IV - Part One (2000), Barabara, Brazen Hussies (1996) and Coronation Street (1960), where she played Sonia Leech, owner of the beauty parlour where Raquel worked.
But it's her role as Tanya Turner in Footballers' Wives (2002) that she really loves. She adores her character ("We're both survivors, but I wouldn't use people the way she does to get on in life"), the stunning clothes, the dramatic scenes with screen husband Cristian Solimeno - and she's even learnt to live with her extra-long fake fingernails. The only part she hated was filming the opening sequence in a pool because, probably just like Tanya, she's not keen on swimming and prefers to keep her head above water. However, 28-year-old Lucker really is keen on football, and once bid successfully at a charity auction for a tour of Leeds United football ground. - Gary Cady was born on 14 September 1959 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, UK.
