In Evil Season 4 Episode 3, the stakes are raised higher than ever for our intrepid assessors as they face a bizarre new case involving possessed pigs. The episode kicks off with a callback to the previous week’s facility where David (Mike Colter) receives critical coordinates from Father Dominic Kabiru (There could be a child. Timothy could be under her nose and working with her). The episode’s editor’s rating was 4 stars, reflecting its intense twists and eerie developments. As the team investigates the American Pork Lobby’s claims of possession at Belmonte Farms, eerie occurrences arise. A neighbor’s night-vision drone...

“Eric” and “Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult” were the two most-watched original series in the U.S. during the week of May 31-June 6.
“Eric,” Netflix’s Benedict Cumberbatch-led limited series, had the highest number of minutes watched in its first full week of availability, clocking in at 1.1 billion, while the TikTok docuseries followed at 714.6 million minutes watched. While both demonstrated strong viewership, “Eric” took first place thanks to the benefit of its five-plus-hour runtime; in views, “Dancing for the Devil” hit an estimated 4.4 million people, while “Eric” came in second with 3.3 million.
In terms of minutes watched and views, both titles edged out “Bridgerton” Season 3, which has dominated the charts since its debut. With 432.3 million minutes watched, the Regency-era drama was the No. 4 series in its third week of availability, ranking just behind “Geek Girl” (439.7 million), though “Bridgerton” did get more views (2 million vs. 1.3 million). “The Roast of Tom Brady” was the No. 1 most-streamed title of the May 6-12 viewing window, according to Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings. The special aired live on Netflix on May 5, indicating that all 1.7 billion minutes of viewership on the chart happened after the stream.
“Grey’s Anatomy” was the No. 2 title with 1.1 billion minutes watched. The iconic medical drama makes the chart most weeks, but has seen an extra bump thanks to Hulu’s recent addition of a new Season 20 episode, which was the most-watched “Grey’s” episode of the week. “Bluey” landed at No. 3 with 1.1 billion minutes watched — commonplace for the popular children’s show.
At No. 4 was “Evil” with 788 million minutes watched across both Netflix and Paramount+. Seasons 1 and 2 of the supernatural drama were added to Netflix on April 30, generating interest ahead of the Paramount+ release of Season 4 on May 23.

Netflix’s live roast of NFL great Tom Brady made it into the Nielsen streaming rankings for its premiere, despite only being available for a few hours of that week. After its first full week on the streamer, it rocketed to the top of the charts.
The Roast of Tom Brady gathered 1.67 billion minutes of viewing for the week of May 6-12, leading all streaming titles by a wide margin (the second-place finisher, Grey’s Anatomy, had 1.11 billion minutes of watch time for the week). The roast also had by far the biggest weekly viewing tally ever for a Netflix special; the previous high was 798 million minutes for Chris Rock’s stand-up special Selective Outrage in March 2023.
The 1.67 billion minutes of viewing for the roast in the United States translates to about 27.87 million hours, or about two thirds of Netflix’s reported worldwide total (42.2 million hours) for the special that week.

I had half a mind to start this off with an “oink, oink.” And I guess telling you that beats the purpose of avoiding it. But we’re all a little odd over here in the Evil gang. How else would we ever make sense of how bacon can cause demonic possession? Evil is getting weirder by the week. Rather fitting considering we’re heading to a sort of doomsday by the end of the season and the show.

What’s going on at the Delmonte Farm?
From werewolves to pigs? It sounded like a demotion to me. But that was before Kristen whipped out her phone and played the video of a man who apparently caught a demon from some pork chops. That’d only seem too bizarre to you if you weren’t familiar with the kind of stuff Kristen, David, and Ben usually find on Vidtap,...

Evil Season 4 Episode 3 is brimming with juicy details and reveals that really get the conversation going for the remainder of the season.
Sheryl's working from the inside to take down Leland? The Anti-Christ was born! David's first remote viewing mission is life or death for many.
Let's dig into Evil!
David's First Mission
David's remote viewing training was very short, and his first mission was literally life and death.
But David can be quite stubborn when he wants to be, so he barely gave viewing a shot when Father Dominic gave him the assignment. David feels used, and he doesn't like that one of only 250 priests in the US is now his handler.
If it's a conspiracy of some sort based on race, I'd be surprised. Father Dominic's Nigerian origins are the more likely explanation for his involvement.
Americans are skeptical of things like remote viewing, but when...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Evil Season 4 Episode 3 “How to Slaughter a Pig.”] Well, the Antichrist is here. And try as Kristen (Katja Herbers) might be to keep herself separate from all of that on Evil, she ends up right by the surrogate Leslie’s (Molly Brown) side for the actual birth. Leslie goes into labor while she and other women are gathered in Sheryl’s (Christine Lahti) office to discuss their terrible work conditions and the credit men take in the company. At the private facility, where Nurse Bloch (Tara Summers) works, Leslie begins getting freaked out—first by the movement she can see that far exceeds a normal baby pre-birth then by when she’s so certain she hears Leland (Michael Emerson) talking about killing her and feeding her body to the baby. He later claims to Leslie that he was talking about the biological mother (Kristen). Leslie then leaves the facility and calls Kristen,...

Dragon Ball began serialization in 1984 and has received numorous sequels and spinoffs like Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball Kai. You can only imagine how many new characters have been introduced in its decades-long run before Toyotarou joined the crew.
When such a plethora of characters get included in a series, it’s only natural that some of them would be forgotten after a while. However, one particularly intriguing character has resurfaced in the mind of Toyotarou.

After “Bridgerton” dominated the top three spots on Luminate’s streaming rankings last week, the only TV title that could rival it was a complete change of pace from the high production value Regency-era drama: “Tires,” Shane Gillis’ self-funded half-hour comedy that premiered on May 23.
“Bridgerton” Season 3 of course still took the No. 1 position with 766.8 million minutes watched in its second full week of availability, coming out to an estimated 3.7 million views when divided by the 220-minute runtime of the four currently available episodes.
But “Tires” beat Season 1 and 2 of “Bridgerton,” landing at No. 2 with 447.8 million minutes watched. Divided by its 135-minute runtime, that translates to 3.3 million views — not far behind “Bridgerton” Season 3 at all. Season 2 took third place place with 394.2 million minutes watched while Season 1 took fourth place with 391.6 million minutes watched.
“Jurassic World: Chaos Theory” had its chart debut at No. 5 with 298.1 million minutes watched in its first week of availability.

The Netflix special roasting NFL great Tom Brady made it onto the streaming charts for the week it premiered — despite it only being up for a few hours of that week.
The Roast of Tom Brady racked up 279 million minutes for the week of April 29-May 5, good for 10th place among original series in Nielsen’s rankings. The special streamed live on May 5, meaning it tallied those viewing minutes in under 12 hours. (With a running time of almost three hours, the 279 million minutes equate to about 1.6 million complete runs of the special.)
Bluey moved back into the top overall spot with 1.18 billion minutes of viewing on Disney+, adding to its total as the most streamed title in the United States so far this year (21.73 billion minutes and counting). I watch a lot of horror films, but movies and television shows about possessions are what really scare and intrigue me. Evil, a series by Michelle and Robert King, not only discusses the topic of possessions, but also explores the matters of grief and corruption. After three successful seasons, the creators return with season 4, which is just as solid and absorbing as the chapters before. The new installment continues to explore the sins of humanity while giving the characters new paths to venture to.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Evil Season 4 Episode 2 “How to Train a Dog.”] Let’s just say that we have a feeling Sheryl (Christine Lahti) wants to take Leland (Michael Emerson) down even more than ever before after the latest Evil episode. Sheryl tries to gain some footing at work, but it’s run by a misogynistic board of men and demons, so that’s easier said than done. When she speaks up in a meeting, offering up her connection as Kristen’s (Katja Herbers) mother—the biological mother of the Antichrist— Leland shuts her down; the board doesn’t like hearing from women because they consider them to be weak. He suggests she prove herself by getting Greg Bruni (Danny Mastrogiorgio) in line, with the demon inside him starting to peep through. She does just that by cutting his finger off. She delivers it to the Manager, but even that’s not enough to get a promotion.

Evil Season 4 Episode 2 ratcheted up the tension as many of our favorite characters found themselves distressed.
Some kicked ass, like Sheryl, and some fell into a blubbering heap, like Andy. Either way, there's a lot to digest, as we are only a mere 12 episodes away from the finale.
Although "How to Train a Werewolf" began with a supernatural bent, science won this time out.
Every season has a theme, and the pop-up book at the beginning of the credits (which began 17 minutes into the episode) is The Big Pop-Up Book of Science.
This makes me wonder if they'll tie the whole series together with a scientific explanation for everything before the end. That would be a satisfying series conclusion, if somewhat disappointing.

A Cujo-core droid that’s just as adorable as it is terrifying? Sounds like someone we know. We’re looking at you, Kristen! But I’d cut her some slack considering episode 2 of the final season of Evil chucks her life into a tornado of problems. Ben and David have got troubles of their own brewing. And none of the three are bringing it to the table. What could go wrong in such a scenario?

Kristen’s right. A werewolf that scares easy isn’t the type that’d chase the parish priest and the congregants away. Dusk Golem, a prominent Resident Evil leaker, has some disappointing news for Resident Evil 9 fans. Although he previously stated that the game would be coming in the summer of 2025, it seems that the game has been internally delayed and will instead come out in 2026.
This is a part of his most recent leaks, which includes the revelation that the next two Resident Evil games to be remade will be Resident Evil 0 and Code Veronica, instead of Resident Evil 1 or 5.
Resident Evil 9 Won’t Be Announced This Summer
Resident Evil 9 will be the next big mainline entry after Village.
A longer development time could indicate a larger and more complex Resident Evil experience, and this is rumored to be an open-world game and extremely ambitious. The delay might allow for more refinement and ensure the game lives up to the series’ high standards, as Capcom has produced a lot of high quality titles recently.

The leak that remakes of Code Veronica and Resident Evil 0 are in development isn’t that surprising to hear, given that Capcom has previously shared that multiple new Resident Evil games are in development, which includes both remakes and new mainline installments.
(4/4) a remake of Resident Evil Zero & Code Veronica in development right now.
I've talked to many others behind the scenes about this at this point,...

As Evil‘s Season 4 premiere pointed out earlier this week, Leland Townsend has been so focused on his goal of bringing about the birth of the Antichrist that he glossed over a few crucial details — like the emotionally and physically taxing work of raising a child, even one that’s supposed to bring about the end of humanity.

The Regency era dominated TV screens during the week of May 17-23, as “Bridgerton” took not one, not two, but three top spots on Luminate’s weekly streaming ranking charts.
In its first full week of availability, Season 3 Part 1 of the Shonda Rhimes-produced Netflix series hit 2.3 billion minutes watched, the No. 1 title by far. Season 1 took second place with 498.6 million minutes watched, followed by Season 2 with 434 million minutes watched. It’s clear that “Bridgerton” will continue to dominate streaming rankings for weeks to come, not only because of the show’s obvious popularity, but because Season 3 still has four episodes yet to come on June 13.
Two titles tied as the next-most-watched of the week: Season 2 of Amazon Prime Video's "Outer Range," which was the No. 4 TV series, and Netflix's "Mother of the Bride," the top movie. Both were watched for 256.4 million minutes in their first full weeks of availability.

Much like “Hannibal,” it’s difficult to believe a show as spooky and complex as “Evil” ever aired on network television. But as the horror series about an unlikely trio investigating reports of demonic incidents for the Catholic Church debuts its entertaining final season on Paramount+, where the Robert and Michelle King-created series moved in Season 2, it’s also hard to believe the show exists anywhere, as it remains wholly unlike anything else on TV.
In Season 4, the first episode of which is now streaming, the series continues to balance its unique cases of the week with storylines involving overarching mythology, all while engaging with and exploring the personal beliefs and fears of Kristen (Katja Herbers), David (Mike Colter) and Ben (Aasif Mandvi). And then there’s that little issue of the antichrist and the fact it’s Kristen’s biological child. All of these things come together nicely...

We’re going to need every minute of the next 13 weeks to prepare to say goodbye to Evil, the chilling psychological thriller that follows forensic psychologist Kristen (Katja Herbers), priest David (Mike Colter), and contractor/tech expert Ben (Aasif Mandvi) as they investigate unexplained cases for the Catholic church … and, this season, prepare for the birth of the antichrist. But sadly, it is the final season. The good news? They got four bonus episodes to wrap up the story, but how much will be resolved, and how much will be left open-ended? “Hopefully everything is going to be resolved, but sometimes resolution adds more questions,” co-creator Michelle King tells TV Insider. Adds co-creator Robert King, “The resolution can point forward. I don’t think anything will be tied up in the most perfect bow, but there will be a bow. It just might have a little bit of leaving something open to the audience imagination.

Elsbeth will be back for its second season in the fall, and when TV Insider asked Preston for her dream guest stars, she has someone in mind: “You know I have to say Michael Emerson,” she said with a laugh. “We’re hoping that he’ll come to the Elsbeth world now that he’s done with the Kings other show Evil. So that would be wonderful.” She also already has an idea of the role she’d like to see him play. “It would be fun to see Michael not be a murderer or someone evil. When satanic cults and demons get out of control, who you gonna call? Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi, of course! Evil Season 4 premieres on Paramount+ on Thursday, May 23, and it will be one hell of a finale for the supernatural procedural with outrageous self-aware humor, sinister villains running amok, and character chemistry that brings it all together.
We had the pleasure of discussing the fourth and final season of Evil with Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi, whose journey of uncovering the mysteries of insidious forces behind the veil of reality end with the conclusion of a 14-episode finale. While Evil Season 4 is the show’s last hoorah on Paramount+, Evil could get picked up by another streamer, as several of the show’s stars are game to continue the story. I hope that’s the case after binging four seasons to prepare for this interview.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Evil Season 4 premiere “How to Split an Atom.”] Kristen (Katja Herbers) may get to laugh in Leland’s (Michael Emerson) face when it comes to having to raise the Antichrist (he’s still a baby) but he might get the last laugh after the wheels he sets in motion in the Evil Season 4 premiere. The so deliciously chilling Paramount+ drama picks up right where it left off, with Kristen finding out that Leland used her egg with a surrogate, and now the Antichrist will be born in 38 days. “I can’t think of any greater torture I could devise for you than to give you a baby: a crying, s**tting baby. I giggle at the thought of you waking up a 3am because the Antichrist needs changing or dealing with diaper genies and bottles at 4am. And that’s just the beginning. I mean, have you thought about the terrible twos,...

The beginning of the end of Evil is here, and we're so ready for it, and yet not ready at all.

Kristen's Reaction to Learning Leland Stole Her Egg
At least we haven't missed anything -- Evil Season 4 Episode 1 picks up right where we left off, with Kristen's realization that Leland took and used her egg -- with his sperm!
I mean, ew. A thousand times, EW!
Her reaction was very interesting, though, as learning about it was the kick in the ass that she needed to toss aside her short foray back into the Catholic Church...

TV Fanatic chatted with Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi about the upcoming season, which premieres on Thursday, May 23. We are all hoping for a Hail Mary pass that will save the genre-defying show.
It’s easy to joke that Evil should be around as long as evil exists in the world, but the truth is that creators Robert and Michelle King have managed to say something important about the subject for three seasons, and that doesn’t stop during Season 4.
We always wonder what we can do to score that oft-sought last-minute save of a beloved series, and the answer is to watch it.

You’ll scream till you laugh. Or is that laugh till you scream? Works either way for Evil, my favorite supernatural thriller since the glory days of The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with an even higher amusement threshold. But here’s the scariest part: It’s ending after just four seasons (the first season aired on CBS). The good news: With its delectable mix of humor and terror, Evil isn’t going out quietly. “Are we really on that level of crazy?” wonders Kristen (saucy Katja Herbers), the forensic psychologist and skeptic, during an upcoming case about possibly possessed pigs. Yes, we really are. Her team, including hunky priest David (Mike Colter) and wry tech expert Ben (Aasif Mandvi), are feeling it too. “Doesn’t it seem like these assignments are getting weirder?” Ben wonders. If they are, which is arguable, that’s how we and the show’s brilliant creators,...

Mike Colter starred in Marvel Television's Luke Cage from 2015 to 2018 and, like the rest of those heroes, his time as the character reached an abrupt end amid a wave of cancellations. That was Netflix's way of responding to the launch of Disney+, but after a couple of years of waiting, Marvel Studios is free to do what it likes with Power Man and company.
The Defenders TV shows are supposedly considered "canon" to the wider MCU and, with Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal reprising their roles as Daredevil and The Punisher in 2025's Born Again, could Colter eventually join them as Power Man?
The actor was always something of a divisive choice, and replacing the 47-year-old with a younger lead more in line with the comic book version of the character perhaps makes the most sense. For what it's worth, Colter remains open to playing Cage again, even...

Before the Disney+ shows, Netflix was the home of the Defenders Saga, featuring several street-level superheroes. Among these was “Luke Cage,” which ran for two seasons and gained considerable popularity, thanks to Mike Colter’s portrayal of the titular character.
Despite its success, “Luke Cage” was canceled after two seasons. The cancellation was attributed to creative differences and Marvel Television’s strategic shift to move its properties away from Netflix.
With the release of ‘Echo,’ the Defenders Saga has been officially integrated into the mainline MCU. Anticipation is high that ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will reference many of the former Netflix shows, and fans are eagerly hoping for some of these series to continue on Disney+. Krysten Ritter has expressed her enthusiasm for reprising her role as Jessica Jones, but what about Luke Cage? Mike Colter, the actor behind Luke Cage, has expressed a more reserved interest. How do you define Evil — not the concept, but the TV show? When it debuted on CBS back in 2019, Evil was pitched as an offbeat procedural, following a team of paranormal investigators hired by the Catholic Church to confirm or debunk reports of demonic activity. It was set up initially as a monster-of-the-week series, spiked with the sharp wit and social commentary familiar to fans of writer/producers Michelle and Robert King’s The Good Wife and The Good Fight.
As it rolls into its fourth and final season (which will include four “bonus episodes” to close everything out), Evil remains a procedural… sort of. Ever since it moved to Paramount+ for Season 2, the show has gotten darker, crazier, and more complex, while retaining a basic episodic structure. The heroes still chase a new demon nearly each week — but now they’re also dealing with much more.
