Leave the World Behind (2023)
The death of America.
I need at least 10 business days to digest this movie. I was absolutely enthralled start to finish.
I agree, not Julia Robert's best but not bad. And the rest of the cast was perfect.
Turn this movie on for a thrill seeking, mind bending, thought provoking, ride. If you're boring - just turn friends on instead (few will appreciate that pun).
There's so many takeaways from this movie to be had. At the very least, the takeaway is simply just having fun watching a movie with so much to offer.
If you've seen Mr Robot, you know Sam Esmail will bend your mind a little and provide a completely different side to cinema. I'll watch everything he makes.
I do not understand the poor reviews. Even if you don't love the takeaway how could you not love the experience this movie provides?
Top 3 films of the year, and yes I saw Oppenheimer and Barbie.
XO, Kitty (2023)
I don't care I loved this
If you're looking for a well put together show like breaking bad or GOT yeah you're going to hate it.
It's totally unbelievable and corny but so cute and so fun. The show depicts the exact genre it's trying to. If you like sex lives of college girls, the summer I turned pretty, heartstopper, trinkets, on my block, or kdramas I mean you've come to the right place.
Light hearted fun and lovely characters. It's exactly what it was supposed to be and delivered.
Drove me nuts they are In south korea and all speak english but it is what it is and I will still watch any future seasons of it.
Here is my remaining 15 characters needed.
Fire Country (2022)
Um yes???
I like the cast for this show more than most shows and it's addictive and entertaining. Most of the bad reviews are coming from people that are so mad some of the situations aren't "realistic" this isn't a reality tv show people. Just like the pulse ox doesn't belong on the nose even though that's where they put it in greys lol. It's cinema.
Yes it can be a little cheesy but it's the pilot season. By episode 7-8 they really start to get their gripping and the acting starts to take off. I don't usually watch these type of shows but I really do recommend it and I really hope there's more seasons.
Bad Sisters (2022)
Jean Paul wasn't that bad
HAHA KIDDING. Honestly this show was a masterpiece. I see some say it was dragged out but no it just gave us more time for character development and anticipation and without it, I wouldn't have fallen in love with the show the way I did. I'll admit as a small town American the filming in Ireland was enough to pull me in. The acting was perfect. It was intriguing and entertaining and yes at times kind of hard to stomach. This is a top 3 show of 2022 for me and I watch a lot of TV. They didn't set it up for a season 2, but I hope somehow they make one happen. Binged this show in two days and already wishing I would've savored it more.
Nope (2022)
ARE YOU KIDDING ME PEELE
How did anyone see this in theater without being absolutely blown away? I went to a sold out IMAX show and the reaction of the crowd was pure -jaw on the floor- shock. This was insane. This is a theater experience you will never have again. I'm speechless.
Invincible (2021)
11/10
One of the best shows I have watched in a long time. Can't imagine anyone watching this and not being absolutely enthralled in it and loving it. Season 2 cannot come soon enough!
The Walking Dead (2010)
Seasons 1-6
The first 6 seasons are some of the best television ever made. I think 95% of fans can agree with this. I stopped watching into season 7 because it becomes unbearable. I don't think it would be fair to give it a low score considering the 6 seasons of the show I have watched was incredible. I wish so badly they would've ended this series with the cast we fell in love with. Unfortunately now there's less than 2 original characters and that is just absurd. It is worth watching the first 6 after that, good luck salvaging any love for this show.
The White Lotus (2021)
What did I just watch???
I gave it a 6 because yes it's fantastic acting, cinematography, and score is all there. But this was some of the most anti climactic nonsense I have ever seen. You sit at the edge waiting for the big twist or turn and it falls flat at every turn. I was entertained to an extent but overall very disappointing. Also the lack of humor in this "comedy" is the funniest part of this show.
Uncharted (2022)
All I hoped for
For those who have played the game - how could you not love this? Holland and Wahlberg were the PERFECT casting choices here. I laughed a lot, it was dramatic, and it was a love letter to those who played the games. Did anyone notice the voice character for Nathan Drake made a quick appearance as well? Brilliant. I haven't had this much fun at the theater in so long. I will probably even go back and see it again. 12/10.
Emily in Paris (2020)
Feel good show
I absolutely love this show. Is it any surprise since I also loved younger?? Lilly Collins makes this show but honestly all of the characters are great. This show for me is one of my absolute favorites. I can only hope for many more seasons.
One of Us Is Lying (2021)
That ending though
So the book was really good but the show was even better. The end was dang good and set it up perfectly for another season. Highly recommend!!! Gave off PLL vibes but better.
In the Dark (2019)
I LOVE THIS
Second review posted for this show. I just finished the entire season. This is a great watch. I personally think Murphy is stellar. The "in the dark" title is brought to life in the ending of this season. Such a fun watch. A quick turn around at the end to just really put the icing on this cake. I loved this. One of my favorite watches to date. Please dis regard the negative reviews.
Watch Dogs 2 (2016)
Underrated
I cannot believe how underrated this game is. I've had an absolute blast playing this. GTA but you're hacking. One of my favorite games i've played.
Younger (2015)
Refreshing
I absolutely adore this show and the characters. I love Hilary Duff and Nico Tortorella. Fun show.
The Bold Type (2017)
A show that sweeps you off your feet
I'll admit, i'm a sucker for these genres. Even though I believe this show sets itself apart from any other. I absolutely love malora as an actress in this - it's just a feel good show that really makes you feel connected with the characters. I think it's good for shows to tackle relevant issues even if it's fictional. It's quirky, it's compelling, it's entertaining, it's heartfelt. I love this show. Hoping for more seasons
Dark (2017)
Absolutely worth the watch
This show is great. The acting and detail is just phenomenal. One of the most in depth shows i've ever seen. There's no way around this show being one of a kind. It's just almost too hard to follow so much of the time and maybe too much. The first season is flawless and it happens to be the least complicated season. I think this show could've been easier to follow without losing its touch.
I See You (2019)
All about the payoff
I feel like anyone who left a negative review didn't watch the whole thing. I'll admit it's one you have to stick with. It doesn't start out bad, just a little slow with an unclear direction. But with this one the payoff is definitely worth it. Nothing beats - jaw on the floor for the final parts of a movie and leaves you a little speechless afterwards. Great thriller. Mind bending.
Interior Design Masters (2019)
Great show with bad judges
I loved this show. The only downfall is the judges who make the final choices have opinions that wouldn't match ANYONE else's.
The Circle (2020)
Great idea
Loved this show. I hope there's more seasons - such a great idea and so entertaining. Really became attached to the players in the early episodes.
Love Is Blind (2020)
Better than the Bachelor
Of course it's stupid - cringeworthy at times. But it's a better concept. It's so entertaining. I mean what's worse than 1 guy/girl to 20+ girls/guys? nothing. This is better. I can't stop watching.
All American (2018)
Deserves it's recognition
I have watched a lot of shows and left a lot of reviews, and this is personally one of my favorite watches so far. I've watched Friday night lights, and I believe this puts it to shame. I like the authenticity and the acting. The story is always keeping the suspense all the while bringing so much wholesomeness to its viewers. Just a great show, especially for CW. I don't understand the negative reviews. It can be a little corny and it is in a high school setting, so if you're expecting something like a house of cards, or SVU you're going to be disappointed of course. Worth the watch!
Nightcrawler (2014)
One of the best performances I've ever seen
This movie was brilliant. It was incredibly cringe worthy but that's the point. Gyllenhaal's performance is MEANT to make your skin crawl, literally. Just a phenomenal film that needs to be watched. Wow.
The Lion King (2019)
Stellar!
I can't believe how many bad reviews this movie is getting. I was all smiles this whole movie. This was my favorite movie growing up as a child, and as an adult now - this was so satisfying. Such a visually beautiful movie, with all the emotion we felt from the original, in a more realistic production. 10/10 I thought it was perfect.
Scream (2015)
Can't have a good show without good acting
The acting is absolutely terrible. It's a cheesy show as is, but it would be somewhat enjoyable if the characters knew how to act.
