Steven Spielberg’s decades-long career can only be described with one word – legendary. He is one of the pillars of modern cinema, giving birth to several genre-defining movies that would later go on to become Hollywood milestones. However, even a renowned filmmaker like him had to face backlash at times.

However, that didn’t make the Jaws creator flinch, in fact, he wouldn’t change anything about it if he were to remake it again today.

Steven Spielberg is unarguably one of those legendary genius directors in the entertainment industry who quite literally changed the course of cinema through his masterpieces.
If anything, he has redefined the general approach to making films through his own brilliantly iconic ideas, especially with movies like his $212 million critically acclaimed horror comedy from 1984, Gremlins.

This is because these two respective movies led to the birth of the very viewer rating that has been used ever since in MCU projects!

Revolving around the storyline of a small-time boxer from Philadelphia, the Rocky franchise breasted a new set of fire into Sylvester Stallone and his repute in Hollywood. The ‘70s saw a meteoric rise in action content and the rise of legendary heroes of the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sean Connery, and Clint Eastwood. Differentiating himself from the rest, the Rocky Balboa star set on quite a different path for his career, one that would have the studio question their faith in him before betting big.

While Clint Eastwood’s last outing was the box-office bomb Cry Macho, the legendary Hollywood actor had planned the denouement of his golden era of Westerns with 1992’s Unforgiven. The critically acclaimed feature – which deconstructs the quintessential perception of the American West – emerged triumphant with four Oscar wins from nine nominations at the 65th Academy Awards.

Clint Eastwood did not believe that he had many acting roles left to do at his age. However, Eastwood had already made a backup plan if he or the viewers had enough of his acting. His main intention for stepping into the director’s shoes in his 1971 film Play Misty for Me was to stay behind the camera even after retiring from acting. It came as a blessing since Eastwood won his first Oscar as a director for his 1992 film Unforgiven.

Villains are probably the best part of a film these days. After all, they know how to keep both the heroes and the audience on their toes! While there are some villains that win us over by their redemption arcs, others are simply just too much to handle, and Gene Hackman’s sheriff “Little Bill” Daggett in Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven (1992) is one of those who fall in the second group.

Tom Cruise looks like he’s picked a remake of The Gauntlet as his first project once he’s finished Mission: Impossible 8.
Following the eventual completion of the next Mission: Impossible film, we’d imagine both Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie will want to take a nice, long holiday. After that, though? It looks like they’ll be reuniting for a remake of the 1977 Clint Eastwood thriller, The Gauntlet.
News of the project first leaked in April and seemed to confirm earlier hints McQuarrie had dropped about their next collaboration. Having previously described their next project as “gnarlier” than the Mission: Impossible films, McQuarrie also added that “It’s something we’ve talked about for a really long time. It’s way outside of what you’re used to seeing Tom do. It’s the kind of stuff I really love. It’s a little bit more in my wheelhouse.

Veteran director David Fincer worked alongside iconic actor Morgan Freeman when they created and shot the 1995 film Se7en. Portraying the role of Detective Somerset in the crime/mystery film, Freeman loved Fincher’s work and the two decided to work together again.

Glen Powell was probably one of the best parts of 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick. Sure, the story and the action sequences were pretty damn good too but Hangman was certainly a treat to the eyes. However, Glen Powell was not always this ripped, obviously. It took a lot of perseverance and “Endurance” to get where he is today, quite literally.
Glen Powell in Top Gun: Maverick (2022) | Paramount Pictures
When Glen Powell was in his teenage years, he was offered a part in Endurance, a reality show that follows a similar script to that of CBS’ Survivor. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out for the actor on the show and he was eliminated much earlier than he expected. When he went back to school, he faced a lot of embarrassment thanks to his fellow students. That was when Glen Powell decided that he was going to turn his life around for good.

Earlier this week, we posted a rather disturbing story about how the Neon-produced horror flick Immaculate apparently looks awful on streaming. Many viewers have complained about the movie looking almost comically dark, posting screen captures that make it look amateurishly shot. Here’s the thing, though – that’s not how the movie is supposed to look. The tweets caught the attention of director Michael Mohan, who wrote the following in reply to one angry tweeter: “I know, man. This was absolutely not done intentionally. We have no control over the compression specs of each platform. It’s a real problem that truly bums me out, and after comparing them all, iTunes is the closest to what we wanted / brighter than the rest.”
Notably, in the comments horror director William Brent Bell posted that the same thing happened to him with the release of Orphan First Kill...

Being an actor means losing out on many, many roles, especially when you are just starting out. Glen Powell knows this agonizing truth all too well. The actor was initially known for his role in Scream Queens (2015-2016), where he played Chad Radwell. However, he gained worldwide fame and recognition only after playing Hangman in Top Gun: Maverick (2022). He then went on to star in his own rom-com, Anyone but You (2023) opposite the gorgeous Sydney Sweeney.

Clint Eastwood retired from the Western genre with the most epic Western film in cinematic history, Unforgiven. It won the Best Picture Oscar and the Best Director Oscar for Eastwood. In his final Western outing, Eastwood deconstructed some of the outdated myths that were popular in Westerns including John Wayne films. Not only did he create the greatest Western movie, he also inspired other filmmakers in the genre with this film.

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone is coming to an end with the second part of the final season, currently in production. After years of being in the industry, Taylor Sheridan finally made his presence known to people worldwide through Yellowstone, which became an instant hit among fans as soon as it was released. And yet, despite being one of the actor cum director’s best-ever projects to date, the series still seemingly faces the wrath of critics, as Sheridan himself admitted it.

In fact, if anything, he used that very star-studded Kevin Costner-led series to troll critics as a response to their critical reviews on the same. And now, the Wind River helmer seems to have finally revealed the real reason behind just why his genius decided to take this approach.

Ryan Gosling’s The Fall Guy seems to have had a rough run at the box office. Based on the TV show of the same name, the film followed Gosling as a stuntman who gets involved in a conspiracy involving the lead actor of a film directed by his ex-girlfriend, played by Emily Blunt. The action comedy was directed by David Leitch, who last helmed Bullet Train.
Gosling’s film reportedly only earned a meager $145 million against a $127 million budget, making it a box office bomb. While the film received positive responses from fans and critics, author Stephen King seemed to have had a mixed reaction to the film. He reportedly disagreed with a review of the film that called it ‘great fun’.

Taylor Sheridan is unarguably one of the most renowned artists in Hollywood in today’s day and age, especially in the television shows/series industry. And this irrevocable fame isn’t for his outstanding acting skills, but rather, for his brilliant skills as a story creator and a showrunner, considering how he has brought a whole masterpiece universe like Yellowstone to life most epically.

However, while many people know him for the widely respected and thoroughly successful man that he is today, not everyone knows how he initially started — which was as an actor. And his story of finding a place in Hollywood is quite literally just as amusing as Yellowstone and all its prequel spin-off sagas he has made to date, considering how he literally punched his way into the industry!
