Features the voices of: Ayumu Murase, Kaito Ishikawa, Yuki Kaji, Yuichi Nakamura | Written and Directed by Susumu Mitsunaka
An epic basketball game is set to take place between rival teams Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School. It also means that rival players Shoyo Hinata (Ayumu Murase) and Kenma Kozume (Yuki Kaji) finally get their chance to play against each other, after numerous practice matches. As is the way of The Dumpster Battle, as soon as one team loses it’s all over — and the match can never be replayed.
Sometimes it can be a tall order to make sport exciting, but on the whole, anime excels at perfecting this niche art. From ice skating drama in Yuri On Ice to the aptly named Cheer Boys!, physical exercise comes to life in an entirely new way through these storylines. The most well-known is undoubtedly Haikyu!!, a rambunctious anime about high school basketball.

Artificial Intelligence or AI is a crucial piece of technology at humanity’s disposal. From education to science, AI can revolutionize processes and change the very landscape of such industries. However, when it comes to the entertainment industry, it is as detrimental as it is beneficial. Artists around the world have been protesting against its use and the use of AI was part of the negotiations during the historic SAG-AFTRA strikes last year.

Hajime Isayama is undoubtedly a brand name in the world of animanga. The Attack on Titan author has made, according to many, one of the best and most popular series in history, and we can actually confirm that Attack on Titan is, indeed, a major title. While some fans are dissatisfied with how Isayama ended his story, the overall impression is that Isayama managed to earn his place in the history of manga and anime with this title.
While Attack on Titan is Isayama’s most famous work, it is certainly not his only work, but for a decade, Isayama has not been writing anything other than the series that made him famous. Until now. Although the news was released on April 1, 2024, it turned out that it was not a joke, as Isayama really is working on a new one-shot manga.
So, what is this new project we are talking about?...

Akuma Kun is an anime series directed by Junichi Sato, and Fumitoshi Oizaki. The series is set to be released on November 9 on Netflix. It’s based on the manga by Shigeru Mizuki.
If you’re in the mood for a enjoyable Japanese animated series with a “retro” vibe, then you’re in luck because here comes Akuma Kun. He’s not the friendliest or funniest guy, but that’s why he’s quite amusing.
He has come to Earth to confront demons through pentagrams, curses, and more, but neither the demons nor society will make it easy for him or his assistant, Mephistopheles, who complains all day long.
This is a very entertaining series featuring the star Yuki Kaji, a true gem in Japanese voice acting who once again showcases his talent and versatility.

In the early days of the Academy’s animated feature Oscar, there were questions as to whether enough films would qualify each year for the award to be given. Not anymore! This year sees a record number of contenders across a wide variety of genres, styles and audiences, from serious, adult-targeted films (like “Charlotte” and “Eternal Spring”) to boffo offerings from Hollywood’s top toon studios — and that doesn’t even count such anime franchise sensations as “One Piece Film: Red” and “Jujutsu Kaisen 0,” which didn’t submit but further illustrate the vitality of the form.

Anime tells a familiar tale about boyhood friendship and childhood gangs but does so with genuinely intense feeling
Here is a beautifully gentle and melancholy coming-of-age YA adventure from the Japanese animator Atsuko Ishizuka. The story will be instantly familiar: a tale of boyhood friendship coming to an end – or shifting into a new phase perhaps, less intense. There is nothing new to see here, and yet it’s a deeply felt film, romantic and earnest about childhood. Though I have to admit I found the subtitling hard to follow in places; the dubbed version might be a better choice, especially for younger audiences.
The narrator is called Roma; he is remembering the summer when he was 15, living on a farm. The other kids in the village laugh at him, and call him “cow dung guy”. His best friend is serious, hardworking Toto (Yûki Kaji) who has been away at school in Tokyo.

An old fashioned boys’ adventure tale with a heavy dose of mono no aware – a sense of the ephemerality of life and its consequent value – this Japanese contribution to the 2022 Fantasia International Film Festival will both charm and sadden audiences, in a sweet way. It’s a story narrated by Roma (voiced by Natsuke Hanae) as he looks back on the summer when he was 15-years-old, just before he finished high school, and at the events which changed his understanding of life.
Flashing back to that time, we see Roma as a boy working on a farm, ostracised by other local kids because he (supposedly) smells of manure. This experience of exclusion intensifies his bond with best friend Toto (Yûki Kaji), with whom he shares a secret hideout in the forest as part of a gang called the Don Glees (a name which will be explained in due...

Directors: Hiroyuki Seshita, Kôbun Shizuno/ Writers: Ishirô Honda, Yusuke Kozaki and Gen Urobuchi. Cast: Lucien Dodge, Kana Hanazawa, Ken'yû Horiuchi, Yûki Kaji and Mamoru Miyano. Fans of Toho's Godzilla franchise are better off watching Planet of the Monsters (2017) and City on the Edge of Battle together, rather than apart. This animated trilogy will conclude in November (in Japan), and the Netflix release will most likely follow after. City on the Edge is self-contained. But, the tease for what's next is worse than waiting for Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War Part 2! With this film, a huge battle royale is coming. The first film had Godzilla facing Mecha Godzilla in a quick flashback. Other creatures had quick cameos, but to not have the King of Monsters have more face-offs against other kaijus is a letdown. He still has to fight those nuisance humans on the planet they once called home. They...

"Humankind vs. the largest Godzilla ever." Netflix Japan has released an official trailer for the anime movie Godzilla: Monster Planet, which will be available for streaming worldwide from Netflix later this month. Thankfully not long of a wait after opening in Japan in November. Japan's big movie studio Toho produced that new live-action Godzilla movie Shin Godzilla in 2016, and followed it up with this new anime movie. The two could not be more different, with this one being set in the far future. After half-century of the war against gigantic monsters, the human race, deciding to escape the planet Earth for safety, creates a small group to go on a exhibition mission back to the planet. Only to return to a world dominated by Godzilla. The voice cast includes Kana Hanazawa, Ken'yû Horiuchi, Yuki Kaji, and Kenta Miyake. Watch below. Link has always been a character of few words, so it almost seems like a joke to say he's had 11 voice actors voice him over the years, but it's absolutely true. We're talking from the time Jonathan Potts first gave the character a speaking role in 1989's The Legend Of Zelda television series, all the way to Breath Of The Wild. Here are some facts on these voice actors who landed the gig of the century as they net money just grunting and screaming their way through a game.
The Most Prevalent Actor In The Franchise Is Sachi Matsumoto

In total Matsumoto has voiced the character in 8 games, and only two of those games are canon (Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass). Hilariously enough, Matsumoto has voiced the...

Toho has released the first trailer for their Godzilla: Monster Planet anime film and it looks pretty freakin' awesome! This first trailer gives us a great tease of what this movie will entail and it's very different from anything we've ever seen from the Godzilla franchise! The story is set 20,000 years in the future and the planet Earth is ruled by Godzilla and other kaiju monsters and the humans want to take it back!
This film will be Toho's 30th Godzilla movie and I can't wait to see it! Here's the detailed synopsis:
The last summer of the 20th century. On that day, the human race realized that they were not the only ruler of the planet earth.
The emergence of gigantic monsters “kaiju” and the ultimate existence that even can destroy the kaijus, Godzilla. After half-century of the war against the kaijus, the human race repeatedly defeated and decided to escape from the earth.

After more than 50 years, the King of the Monsters is getting the anime treatment. Toho is producing their first-ever Godzilla anime film, which will be heading to Netflix later this year.
After years of inactivity, the Godzilla franchise has become very productive lately. 2014 gave us Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla, which will spawn a sequel Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019. A Japanese version by Toho called Shin Godzilla came out last year, winning Best Picture at the Japanese Academy Awards. And 2020 will give us the long-awaited crossover remake Godzilla vs. King Kong. On top of all that, we’re getting an anime film.
According to the site Bloody Disgusting, Netflix Japan announced the new animated film via Twitter. Co-Produced by Toho and Polygon Pictures. The film will be scripted by Gen Urobuchi and co-directed by Hiroyuki Seshita and Kôbun Shizuno, along with a voice actor cast including Yuuki Kaji, Takahiro Sakurai,...

In case you weren't aware, Toho and Polygon Pictures have been collaborating for the past year on an exciting looking Godzilla anime! Judging from the new concept art (pictured below), it looks like the series is a mixture of Gundam meets kaiju? I like the idea of human piloted mechs searching out Godzilla, as that's something that an actual film would have trouble accomplishing without a massive budget!
Those who deeply follow the world of anime may be excited to learn that the cast includes Yuki Kaji, Takahiro Sakurai, Tomokazu Sugita, Junichi Suwabe, Kana Hanazawa, and Mamoru Miyano! Those names don't mean too much to me personally, but Crunchyroll seemed very high up on the castings. Expect to hear more about this project and possibly see a teaser sometime in late March!

They also released an Attack on Titan promo image, along with a list of the cast and crew who will be involved with the second season.
Fans have been waiting for this series for way too long. I’m still bummed that we have to continue to wait until 2017. and all I have to say is that season two better be worth the wait and the patience. The series was supposed to premiere this year, but it was postponed.
Below you'll find a list of the cast and crew. Hopefully, they will deliver a second season that will be absolutely mind-blowing.
The Crew:
Chief Director: Tetsuro Araki (director of first season)
