Sara Haines is a mainstay on the popular talk show The View, but that doesn’t stop her from branching out and working on other shows.
Sara took time away from The View to work with John Quinones for a What Would You Do episode.
This beloved show puts real people in moral dilemma scenarios to see if they will do the right thing, and Sara was excited to be a part of the process.
Now, it seems like Sara may be teasing a return of another of her shows, a game show this time.
Sara has hosted the reboot of The Chase since 2021. Season 3 of the reboot finished last July, and everyone is wondering if the show will be renewed.
The Sun reports that past contestant Victoria Groce, recently on Jeopardy Masters, has shared that The Chase is not renewed or canceled, making what Sara shared on Instagram more relevant.

This Star Trek: Discovery article contains spoilers.
Star Trek: Discovery has always been about change. The series started with a bang in 2017, complete with radically-altered Klingons and a heretofore unseen adopted sister to Spock. From that audacious beginning, Discovery became something more like a standard Star Trek series, while also retaining its own unique (and much more emotional) approach to storytelling.
To be sure, Discovery isn’t for everyone. Its focus on single protagonist Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and its emphasis on emotion over logic made it very different from most Trek series. But even the most traditional Trekkie can appreciate its best major additions to franchise lore.
Into the 32nd Century
It’s hard for Trekkies to avoid rolling our eyes when we read announcements about upcoming Trek projects. Another reboot, another prequel. Sure, Strange New Worlds has been wonderful, but that’s the exception. Too much of new...

Jonathan Frakes has been directing episodes of various “Star Trek” series for the past 34 years, from his first episode behind the camera, “Next Generation” installment “The Offspring,” to the most recent episode of “Star Trek: Discovery.” He is continuity for the franchise that doesn’t quite exist in any other way.
And now, his “Star Trek” directing past is coming back to inform the present. An episode of “Next Gen” he directed in 1993, “The Chase,” is the inspiration for this entire fifth and final season of “Discovery.” A huge plot point from that episode — all of the sentient species in the galaxy were “planned,” billions of years ago, to spring up as they have by a highly advanced prior species called the Progenitors, who seeded the rudiments of their/our DNA on different planets — forms the basis for this 10-episode final run of the show that relaunched the “Star Trek” franchise on TV.

[This story contains spoilers from the Doctor Who season up to and including “73 Yards.”]
There aren’t many television shows that could, in the matter of only a few episodes, feature a monster made of boogers that terrorizes babies, a killer drag queen defeated by the power of music (with a little help from The Beatles) and a pointless religious war catalyzed by a capitalist algorithm.
But, not all shows are Doctor Who.
And since Disney+ acquired the long-running BBC science-fiction show, the Time Lord — now played by Ncuti Gatwa — in the quintessentially British show remains as quirky as ever.
The latest episode, penned by showrunner Russell T Davies, continues its unpredictable streak by donning the guise of folk-horror in an eerie decade-spanning epic that will have Whovians tapping their keyboards in forums for years to come.
Below, THR breaks down some questions viewers may have about “73 Yards” and the Disney+ season so far.

Victoria Groce handily defeated self-proclaimed “final boss” James Holzhauer and 2024 Tournament of Champions winner Yogesh Raut to become Jeopardy! Masters champion on Wednesday (May 22) and is now opening up about her experience. The Chase star took to the Jeopardy! Reddit forum on Thursday (May 23) for an Ama (Ask Me Anything), where she opened up about her favorite TV shows, how she practiced her buzzer technique, and the shock she felt about being asked back on Jeopardy! Before being invited to (and winning) the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament, Groce had only played two games of Jeopardy! almost 20 years ago. In 2005, she ended David Madden’s impressive run of 19 games but lost in her second episode. However, since then, Groce has become a formidable figure in the trivia community, and in 2022, she joined ABC’s game show The Chase as “The Queen.” But even with those credentials, Groce said she never expected to...

Practically speaking, there's a reason why most aliens on "Star Trek" are humanoid. Not only are they humanoid, but they all share very similar specific features: two legs, two arms, two eyes, one mouth, teeth, and/or hair. Many aliens look identical to humans apart from ridges on their foreheads or elaborate skin markings. This is because all the aliens on "Star Trek" are played by human actors. Very occasionally, Captain Kirk (William Shatner) might encounter a Melkot or a Tholian who were achieved through puppetry or photographic effects, but for the most part, aliens were played by Earth's boring ol' Homo sapiens actors.
By the time the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "The Chase" aired on April 26, 1993, Trekkies had been watching the franchise long enough to ask why — from an in-canon perspective — all aliens looked like humans. "The Chase" came up with a cute (if not wholly satisfying...

ABC is renewing the lion’s share of its most high-profile unscripted series for the 2024-2025 TV season. Among the shows back are “American Idol,” “The Bachelor” and “Dancing with the Stars” (which is also simulcast on Disney+).
Also returning: “Celebrity Jeopardy!” and “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” as well as “What Would You Do?” and “Shark Tank.” Decisions are still to be made on a handful of other unscripted series.
For “Dancing with the Stars,” this reps the 33rd cycle of the show, which is hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough and features a panel of judges including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions produces.
“American Idol” will enter its eighth season on ABC and its 23rd overall (including its long run on Fox). This will rep the first season since the ABC revival without Katy Perry, who is departing the chair...

Jeopardy! Masters viewers are wondering if host Ken Jennings unintentionally revealed some shocking news on Wednesday’s (May 1) episode when he implied ABC’s The Chase had been canceled. The comment came during the Masters premiere, which saw Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament winner Victoria Groce dominate super-champs Mattea Roach and Matt Amodio with 29,867 points. Groce is a pro-quizzer who appears on The Chase as “The Queen.” During the player anecdotes, Jennings addressed Groce, saying, “And our viewers probably remember you from The Chase, where you were known as The Queen.” “Are,” Groce replied, highlighting how Jennings spoke in the past tense. “Are, sorry,” Jennings replied as Groce laughed and told him, “That’s alright.” “Thank you for taking time out of your busy regal schedule to be with us on Masters,” the host added. Fans also picked up on Jennings’ wording and took to social media to share their concerns. “Is The Chase cancelled or not?...

Now that The View is back after a week off for their spring break, it is great to catch up with the ladies.
Fans were upset with the previously recorded episodes of The View and The View: Behind the Table podcast for an entire week.
During a recent episode with Sara Haines, Brian Teta mentioned on the podcast that fans feel the hosts should never get time off, especially during a hot political time in America.
He was adamant in defending their time off, and rightly so. The ladies all deserve some much-needed spring break time. Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro stayed home while the others traveled.
When Sara Haines stopped by the podcast to share her vacation with her husband, she offered some surprising information about going away without her children.

If Criterion24/7 hasn’t completely colonized your attention every time you open the Channel––this is to say: if you’re stronger than me––their May lineup may be of interest. First and foremost I’m happy to see a Michael Roemer triple-feature: his superlative Nothing But a Man, arriving in a Criterion Edition, and the recently rediscovered The Plot Against Harry and Vengeance is Mine, three distinct features that suggest a long-lost voice of American movies. Meanwhile, Nobuhiko Obayashi’s Antiwar Trilogy four by Sara Driver, and a wide collection from Ayoka Chenzira fill out the auteurist sets.
Series-wise, a highlight of 1999 goes beyond the well-established canon with films like Trick and Bye Bye Africa, while of course including Sofia Coppola, Michael Mann, Scorsese, and Claire Denis. Films starring Shirley Maclaine, a study of 1960s paranoia, and Columbia’s “golden era” (read: 1950-1961) are curated; meanwhile, The Breaking Ice,...

Familiar faces, harder questions, higher stakes ...
There's a lot to like about Jeopardy tournaments that bring back the show's top-performing contestants and pit them head-to-head in single-elimination battle royales.
But as the film studio execs who kept blowing up the superhero franchise until it exploded have recently learned the hard way, too much of a good thing can lead to alienated audiences.
And now more than ever, once you lose 'em, it's hard to win 'em back.
To be clear, there's no indication that Jeopardy's recent string of tournaments -- the longest in series history -- has had a negative impact on the show's ratings.
But "tournament fatigue" has become a buzzword in the Jeopardy-obsessed corners of social media, and media outlets have begun running editorials alleging that the show has lost its way by focusing too much on past victors.

This Star Trek: Discovery article contains spoilers.
At the end of the Star Trek: Discovery season five premiere “Red Directive,” Dr. Kovich finally levels with Captain Burnham. The mission that she and her crew had been on throughout the episode has escalated beyond even Admiral Vance’s clearance, to a level that only someone as deep within the Federation as Kovich can understand.
The mission involves the Progenitors, the source of all humanoid life in the universe. “A few thousand years ago, we’d have found them gods,” says Kovich. But to long-time Trekkies, the Progenitors are also the topic of a remarkable episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
As much as we all love Star Trek and its wild world of alien races, the fact remains that the large majority of those aliens are just regular-looking humans with different bits of putty slapped on their foreheads. Romulans, Klingons,...

Hulu plans to celebrate April 20 with Jimmy Kimmel.
The Disney-backed streamer has handed out a six-episode series order for High Hopes, a docuseries following two brothers running a cannabis shop in Los Angeles with Kimmel on board to exec produce.
Hulu describes High Hopes as a “workplace reality series following Belarus-born brothers Slava and Mishka and their stoned crew through the trials and tribulations of taking their cannabis business to new heights. As one of the oldest cannabis dispensaries in Hollywood, Mmd attracts a wild mix of weed-loving customers and is a home away from home for their Og employees who work hard and smoke harder! This season builds to their biggest day of the year — 4.20 — as the gang attempts to expand nationwide and release their own top-shelf cannabis brand. Will they find what they’re looking for or will their hopes go up in smoke?”

“Ooh, jukebox” – the words uttered by the Fourteenth Doctor when invited to nosey around the Fifteenth Doctor’s new Tardis in the closing moments of 60th anniversary special “The Giggle”.
Ooh, jukebox indeed. Specifically, the Doctor’s jukebox is a 1946-designed Wurlitzer 1015 nicknamed “The Bubbler” on account of the bubbles that move through its colourful tubes as it plays tunes. Even more specifically, we’ve seen the same make and model of jukebox twice before on Doctor Who, once on the set of Clara’s 1950s-Diner Tardis, and once five billion years into the future on Platform One, where the great and the good are gathered to watch the imminent destruction of planet Earth.

He and his childhood friend Sigbjørn Kvalen are working on a merchant ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean when World War II breaks out. They are unarmed civilians on the front lines of a war they never asked to join. The two men struggle for survival in a spiral of violence and death, where German submarines may attack their valuable vessels at any moment.
