In the final scene, Neil's action doesn't make much sense. As Lt. Vincent Hanna was out in the open, and Neil was hiding behind a house/container, Neil could easily get Vincent by looking and shooting around the corner. Instead in the movie Neil abandoned his cover, jumped out to the open, and acted like he's suicidal. That doesn't fit the character's instinct and principle of survival.
Chris Sherhalis would have known or suspected that his "out" (escape plan) was compromised especially after the shootout following the bank robbery. That he didn't try to call his wife in advance before coming over to pick her up or that he would have driven into what could have been a trap is improbable.
It's never explained how Hanna identified McCauley as the suspect of the armored car robbery in the first place. All Hanna had was information on a guy nicknamed Slick who was already kicked out of McCauley's gang and he had no way to be able to identify McCauley in the first place yet he somehow magically did.
Police should be able to identify Shiherlis at traffic stop outside Charlene's apartment.

During the nighttime bullion-heist surveillance, Vincent and his men repeatedly begin talking on their handheld radios BEFORE pressing their transmit buttons. By doing so, they would chop off the first several words of each transmission.
McCauley is proficient enough in the combat use of firearms to do brass checks (e.g. when he prepares to shoot Waingro). Yet when Hanna stops him and asks him if he'd join him for a cup of coffee, he hides a cocked SIG P 22x-series pistol between himself and his car seat. Only someone completely unfamiliar with this sidearm would do this, as it is very unsafe (the gun's only external safety is a decocking lever and cocked, it has a very light and short trigger pull).
Neil does a brass check in the hotel elevator, on his way to kill Waingro. While checking your pistol to make sure there's a round in the chamber when going into combat is a good idea, Neil does it by putting his whole hand over the barrel to push back the slide. If gone wrong, he could have blown his hand off.
