- In the Hungarian version, much of the dialogue is rendered in rhymes and includes a lot more puns and wordplays than the original.
- Trifecta-syndicated broadcasts (with the exception of IFC) edit the scene of Mr. Krabs whispering to SpongeBob by replacing the word "jackass" with repeated muttering.
- On the ITV broadcasts, a few foul language has been omitted before the 9pm watershed time:
- The two instances of "mcspazatron" were omitted. One by the old lady in The Krusty Krab 2 Grand Opening ceremony attendance [cut directly to the next shot after "knucklehead"]; And one by SpongeBob himself in the building-up of "Goofy Goober Rock" [a cut-out still of SpongeBob's face with his mouth closed and part of the microphone's round were used, while the audio omitted his word].
- The only instance of "freaking" in the "Goofy Goober Rock" song sequence has been muted.
- Both theatrical prints and the 4K remaster have the end credits zoomed in, possibly to fit the screen for international cinemas still using the 1.66:1 aspect ratio at the time.
