Kevin Costner has had a few chaotic months in the past year. The actor-filmmaker ventured to work on his passion project of over two decades, Horizon: An American Saga. The actor also sparked controversy after his public fallout with Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone producers. Amidst these issues, the actor also went through a divorce.
After nineteen years of marriage, Costner and ex-wife Christine Baumgartner reportedly filed for divorce in 2023. The couple shared two sons and a daughter and dated for six years before tying the knot in 2004. The Dances With Wolves star reportedly went to actor and friend Billy Bob Thornton for support after his heartbreak.

Real Housewives devotees are a lucky fandom because the Bravo franchise promises a limitless stream of meme-worthy moments with every new season. And if Andy Cohen has anything to say about it, then the unhinged chaos isn’t letting up any time soon.
Every year, there’s one city that takes the cake in entertainment value and last year the clear winner was inarguably Salt Lake City. During the finale, Heather Gay brought the women to the beach to reveal that fellow Housewife Monica Garcia was behind the Instagram account “Reality Von Tease,” dedicated to exposing former Housewife Jen Shah, and other Housewives, for the past three years. The big reveal, and their ensuing confrontation, is now considered one of the most masterly scenes in Bravoverse history.

No matter what stylistic mode Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield is working in, from the emo-infused indie-folk of 2013’s Cerulean Salt to the sterling, country-tinged heartland rock of 2020’s Saint Cloud, her music boasts a persuasive, authorial presence. Her moniker is derived from the Alabama town where she grew up—“named after a city y’ain’t never seen,” she muses on the title track of Tigers Blood—and the album, like much of her discography, is stocked with scenes of vividly rendered rural life.
What’s perhaps most striking about Crutchfield’s music is that it dares to wrestle with honest depictions of its milieu. Tigers Blood is reflective without being overly sentimental. She pushes beyond idyllic small-town imagery, exploring the recklessness of youth and the privilege that comes with it: “Drank someone else’s juice and left only the rind,” she sings on “Tigers Blood.”

The Elon Musk-Don Lemon war continued today, as both sides tweaked each other’s tail over their aborted programming deal.
Lemon had the first at-bat, sending out a dig on X.
“Every time @elonmusk tweets, a subscriber gets his wings. Tune in Monday.” Lemon will continue on the X platform, even though his remuneration will come from clicks and sponsorships rather than a salary and perks.
“That was followed by a Musk retort: “Don “Veruca Salt” and a lemon image.”
The “Veruca Salt” insult likens Lemon to the Willy Wonka character of the same name, an over-indulged and manipulative young girl who shows no gratitude.
That slap stems from earlier reports indicating Lemon had a lengthy wish list while negotiating for his one-and-done show on the X platform. They allegedly included a free Tesla Cybertruck, a $5 million upfront payment on top of an $8 million salary, an equity stake in the multibillion-dollar company,...

A decade before Knight and Day was released, a movie like it would have killed with audiences: Come on, it starred Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz and looked to perfectly mash humor and action in a way that so few male/female-led action-comedies had for years. Yet, it didn’t connect. But why? There are a lot of reasons, really, and not just, as Roy Miller would say, “one of those things.” Through lousy marketing, hokey promotion, poorly timed sneak previews, and even Katie Holmes, Knight and Day fizzled, less “beautiful dress” than beautiful mess…But it did at least inspire a Bollywood remake, so suck on that, Vanilla Sky! Let’s find out: What Happened to this Movie?!

It’s hard to make your mark in an ever-evolving film industry. Hollywood has recently witnessed a string of massive flops, and quite a good portion of them were female-led movies. The most recent examples are The Marvels and Sony’s latest release, Madame Web. Both have received unimpressive reviews and poor box office receipts.
While superhero fatigue is partly to blame, these films have also been criticized way more than other flops, the most common complaint being the “wokeness” that they allegedly possess. After the massive failure of Madame Web, there has been a creative overhaul at their headquarters, which has completely changed their initial plans.

According to a report by the Twitter account Culture Crave, the entire writers’ room of Silk: Spider Society has been fired, except for the showrunner Angela Kang. Keeping in mind the continuous losses of female-centric movies like The Marvels and Madame Web,...

Despite being let go from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Monica Garcia is still on the minds of her former co-stars.
Recently, every interview you read with a cast member from the Bravo hit has to include sentiments about Garcia.
It makes sense because, when you think about it, would we even be talking about the show at this point without Garcia’s impact?
Lisa Barlow has spoken out about her nemesis a few times, opening up about her belief that icing her out was a good idea for the show.
Now, Barlow is opening up about red flags she had about her fired co-star long before she was cast on the show.
Barlow recently spoke with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast and recalled when the mother of four called her before filming and was “super nice.”

Chelsea Wolfe’s music is heavy. Whether it’s the neofolk of her early releases or the doom metal of 2017’s Hiss Spun, the singer-songwriter’s work is always immersed in gothic touches. Wolfe’s seventh studio album, She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She, finds her moving in yet another sonic direction—closer to trip-hop and industrial than traditional rock—but still channeling that same witchy, backwoods spirit.
The album’s inspirations are immediately apparent on opener “Whispers in the Echo Chamber.” The timbre of Wolfe’s voice evokes that of Portishead’s Beth Gibbons, and the beat is strikingly similar to the trip-hop pioneers’ aptly titled “Machine Gun.” Throughout the track, Bryan Tulao’s metallic lead guitar helps to elevate the tension.
Wolfe and producer David Sitek give the music more space to breathe on the album’s second half. Backed by ominous piano, “Salt” is restrained but just as menacing,...

Chad Stahelski and David Leitch's 2014 film "John Wick" instantly became totemic, casting a long shadow and impacting the way action filmmakers approached their craft. Over the past decade, we've seen the American action movie conform to that style, favoring hard-hitting hand-to-hand combat, more visually dynamic fight choreography, and longer shots that better highlight the action taking place (contrasted with the edit-a-fight-to-bits approach of Paul Greengrass's acolytes from the prior generation). "The Beekeeper," written by genre stalwart Kurt Wimmer and directed by David Ayer, adopts those elements as well — but it goes a step further than most "Wick" riffs and incorporates what really makes that franchise stand out: world-building. There's a unique mythology at play here, elevating the movie to a heightened reality beyond our own.

Monica Garcia was always a different kind of Housewife.
Even before the events of the Jan. 2 finale of Season 4, the latest addition to “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” set herself apart from her new colleagues. Bravo’s biggest franchise is an ode to the nouveau riche and their tasteless McMansions, but Garcia wore her working class bona fides with pride. Her entry into the franchise was not as a “friend of” or peer to an existing cast member, but a former assistant — infamously, one of many — to Jen Shah, now a convicted felon serving time in federal prison. In her first episodes, Garcia openly discussed her struggles as a single mom and called out costar Lisa Barlow for her materialism. She wasn’t another tequila magnate with a $60,000 ring (Barlow) or a boutique owner bankrolling her son’s monogrammed sweatpants (Meredith Marks). She was a working person, just like you and me.

Angelina Jolie Once Allegedly Refused To Play Bond Girl In Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale Because She Wanted To Be James Bond(Photo Credit –Facebook/IMDb)
Angelina Jolie is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, and James Bond is one of the most iconic film franchises. So imagine Jolie in a Bond film! It would literally blow our minds, and the opportunity had once presented itself to the actress, but she declined the offer to be a Bond girl because she didn’t want to settle for the side character and be the main lead in Casino Royale.
Daniel Craig was seen as 007 in Casino Royale, and his version of the character is undoubtedly one of the best portrayals. The Bond movies exude style and sass and have a genre of their own. Meanwhile, Jolie established herself as a versatile actress, and the sky is the limit for her.

The first time I interviewed Andre Braugher, he was uncertain and uncomfortable. It was hard to process, coming from an actor who had made certitude into his calling card. Braugher was righteous and righteously correct or he was nothing, but it took the courage and conviction of an Andre Braugher character to shift that image as wildly and vividly as the actor did in the last third of his career.
It was the fall of 2014, just weeks after the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards. With two earlier wins already to his credit, Braugher had been nominated for the first season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, his first nod in a comedy category. His performance as Capt. Raymond Holt on Brooklyn Nine-Nine was rooted in the years he’d spent playing stern authority figures, but at the same time, this version of the Braugher persona seemed revelatory. Put him in “the box,” sweating out and outsmarting crime suspects in the interrogation room, and you were looking at a weekly dose of tour de force acting, as good as it got on television during that time. He won an Emmy for that show he starred in from 1992-98. His wife, Ami Brabson, recurred as Pembleton’s wife on Homicide.

One of the great things about working for JoBlo is that, over the years, I’ve had the pleasure to speak with some of my heroes. Being a child of the eighties, I tend to be most fascinated by the people I grew up watching. So, speaking to Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson and the great Don Johnson have consistently ranked with my fondest moments here with the site. Of course, one of the guys I’ve always wanted to talk to was the great Pierce Brosnan.
Given that I’m the guy behind James Bond Revisited, one could easily imagine why he was a bucket list interview of mine. However, beyond his work as 007, I’m still a fan, particularly of his movie The Matador, one of my favorites. Pierce has a new film out the week called Fast Charlie, which features him once again playing a hitman who’s...

Angelina Jolie has shared that she probably wouldn’t be an actress if she was just starting in the entertainment industry in this day and age.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, published online Tuesday, the Maleficent star said she may have considered acting on the stage but not Hollywood.
“I wouldn’t be an actress today,” Jolie explained. “When I was starting out, it wasn’t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much.”
Though she doesn’t read anything about herself in the press, the actress knows she’s “just been around so long, and there’s been everything said.”
Jolie grew up around Hollywood since both her parents, Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand, were actors. Having appeared in projects from a young age, as well as modeling and studying Method acting, Jolie admitted that she “was never very impressed with it [Hollywood],” adding,...

Andy Cohen is clearing the air.
The 55-year-old host of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live discussed recent rumors regarding The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion.
“Can I debunk quickly two rumors that came out of the Salt Lake City reunion?” he began.
“One is people speculated whether Mary M. Cosby really did show up. She did show up. She was not out on the stage for the entire reunion, but she was out there for the exact right amount, and it was a really interesting discussion with her,” he said.
“The second thing is, and I didn’t hear this until yesterday on a call with a bunch of Bravo EPs, I didn’t realize there was a rumor going around on reunion day…was that Jen Shah Skyped in from prison or something. Did not happen. Did not happen, so if anyone was hoping for that, didn’t happen.

Sen. Mike Lee perpetuated an unfounded conspiracy theory that federal agents or informants were among the rioters on Jan. 6 and that one may have flashed a law enforcement badge during the attack (in reality, it was a vape). In two posts to X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend, the Republican indulged in a Maga disinformation campaign.
Lee quoted a post from former Jan. 6 committee member Liz Cheney that contained footage of the Capitol attack, writing, “Liz, we’ve seen footage like that a million times. You made sure we saw that—and nothing else.

All Dirt Roads Taste Of Salt offers a visually beautiful mediation on childhood, family and love, that begins with sisters growing in a lushly green rural Mississippi landscape, and then reaches into adulthood. The film is more a lyrical poem to a time and place, than a plot-driven drama, so it is best enjoyed when you can just embrace it’s dreamy memories of childhood friendship, warm family moments and young bittersweet romance, and let the lovely imagery and dreamy feeling float you downstream.
This lovely, dreamy piece of cinema art was written and directed by award-winning poet, photographer and filmmaker Raven Jackson, making her feature film debut. It is a lyrical film that powerfully evokes its place and time, and the people in that landscape.

The movie, directed by Phillip Noyce, reveals that she is one, but there is far more to it than simply that. She's been working as a double agent, set up to spy for Russia and waiting to be activated, but things have happened since she was put as a child into a secret Russian program. She's met a man (August Diehl), fallen in love, and gotten married. She's built herself a life. Oh, and then there was the reason she was made a Russian sleeper agent in the first place.
The ending reveals that she wasn't the only Russian child spy and that someone she never suspected is one as well. While the first thing you remember about "Salt" is likely the fuss...

Chelsea Wolfe has announced her new album, She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She, arriving February 9th as the first release on her new label home Loma Vista. Wolfe also shared the video for the album’s second single, “Whispers in the Echo Chamber.”
The new song follows the same experimental post-metal path as the LP’s lead single, “Dusk,” but features a more tangible industrial stance. A pulsing electronic drum beats sets a sparse and methodical pace, as Wolfe’s voice shimmers and sways against the dark musical backdrop. According to a press release, the vocal effect was achieved by running her voice through producer David Andrew Sitek’s modular wall and was “meant to reflect those persistent intuitive voices that start rising up within you when it’s time to step out of the old and into the new.”

Back in the late '80s and early '90s, the success of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" skyrocketed Sir Patrick Stewart into newfound fame. Eventually, that fame would reach even greater heights after he took on the role of Professor Charles Xavier in the "X-Men" film franchise. But that wouldn't be until 2000. Years before that, as "The Next Generation" was coming to an end, Stewart suddenly found himself venturing away from the final frontier into new territory.
As Stewart recounted in his recently released memoir, "Making It So," his pop culture fame resulted in many wanting to see the actor play against type and shed his "Shakespearean eloquence," as he puts it. That included the honor of hosting "Saturday Night Live," a coveted opportunity that isn't afforded to every actor out there. Unfortunately, when Stewart looks back on the...

One sign of a terrific actor is that he can hold you even when he’s not doing anything. Pierce Brosnan is like that. I wouldn’t call him a minimalist, though he never wastes a word or a movement; he has the precision of an expensive watch. Yet as he’s gotten older, his inner quality of elegant puckish cutthroat gravitas has only grown stronger. You’re hooked by him when he’s not doing anything in part because he projects the unwavering confidence that you will be.
That makes him the ideal actor to play a seen-it-all hit man — who also happens to be a highly civilized gourmet cook — in Phillip Noyce’s “Fast Charlie,” a Deep South crime drama that may be the twelfth movie this year to center on a hit man. But the new hit-man movies, like David Fincher’s “The Killer” and Richard Linklater’s “Hit Man,...
