Actor Johnny Knoxville has been hit with a $3 million lawsuit following accusations he attacked a “Prank Panel” segment producer, TheWrap has learned.
Daniel Curry – who also served as a creative consultant on ABC’s “The Prank Panel” – accused Knoxville of workplace harassment in his Thursday filing. The plaintiff also cited production houses ITV America and Kimmelot in the lawsuit.
Per court documents obtained by TheWrap, Knoxville allegedly entered video village and began harassing Curry with a taser while Curry fled, while still less than one week on the job. Curry says he was tased in the side while he and Knoxville were at a full run, which led to severe injuries when his body locked up and he fell. The documents state Curry broke his fibula and tore the ankle ligament in his right leg.

When Fast & Furious director Justin Lin was revealed to be at the helm of the live-action One-Punch Man film back in June 2022, the script was in the hands of Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner of Venom and Jumanji: The Next Level . The news closed out the end of the latest update on Justin Lin's directorial work. The next project he's hopped on is crime thriller Stakehorse , based on a script by Justin Piasecki that found itself near the top of the 2023 Black List. While anime fans still look forward to the third season of One Punch Man, the beloved manga series may now have a future in theaters. Sony’s Columbia Pictures announced a live-action film way back in 2020 and the progress has been really slow on the project. Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner were initially signed on as writers, but the latest reports suggest that Rick and Morty writers Dan Harmon and Heather Anne Campbell are rewriting the script.

Tom Green has cancer. It is early 2000, and he is about to go under for surgery, and guess what? He’s recording the whole thing because he would like to educate you on the world of testicular cancer, and if you can see his internal organs while doing so, so be it. And so there he is at 28 years old in a hospital gown, making jokes while medical professionals get ready to chop off one of his nuts. “This is going to freaking suck,” he says. But, if we know anything about him, nothing is off limits for Tom Green. It was the ultimate combination of tragedy and comedy; you have a young man in his prime facing death while telling the world’s greatest testicle joke. This comedian turned cancer into performance art, which made me believe God might have a twisted sense of humor… kinda like Tom Green himself.

Of the many secondary characters in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," none has had quite as much interaction with the gang as Matthew "Rickety Cricket" Mara. The character first appeared in the season 2 episode "The Gang Exploits a Miracle," where fans got to know him as a former high school classmate of the younger members of the gang who had an intense infatuation with Dee (Kaitlin Olson). Called "Rickety Cricket" because he wore leg braces throughout high school, he had gone on to become a priest, but his reunion with the gang led him on a downward spiral that would lead to him becoming a drug-abusing pimp with burn-related facial scarring who lives under a bridge. Over the years, he's debased himself in just about every way, making "Sunny" fans double over with laughter in the process.

For a fan of alternative comedy, seeing a young Andy Kaufman humiliate himself on stage is like showing footage of the Big Bang to a theoretical physicist. As Kaufman creates an awkward silence with a series of lame jokes that quickly give way to a spot-on Elvis impression, you can see everything from the intentional rigidity of Neil Hamburger to the madcap cultural pastiche of “The Eric Andre Show” forming before your eyes. Kaufman set out to make a mockery of the rules of comedy, but ended up building a new sandbox that his medium’s most exciting performers return to again and again.

Even though John Wilson, the titular creator and host of HBO’s “How to With John Wilson,” had several ideas that could have been part of the documentary series’ future, he knew he had to end on Season 3.
“Rather than just having it go on indefinitely, I wanted it to feel like there was a bit of an arc,” Wilson told TheWrap. “I also feel like the best thing that you can do is to just leave people wanting more.”
Thus marks the beginning of the end for one of the most charmingly bizarre series HBO has ever created. In every season of “How to With John Wilson,” the soft-spoken documentarian offers his expertise — and through a series of investigative interviews, the expertise of others — on a variety of topics. How do you make small talk? How do you be spontaneous? How do you throw out your batteries?

MovingFast Pictures, proudly presents its debut release, “Anti-Wonderful,” a bizarre cinematic experience that seamlessly blends elements of horror and nihilistic humor. Prepare to embark on a journey like no other as a group of death-loving misfits recklessly share their provocative beliefs with the audience. Eric André dropped a whopping 40 pounds and trimmed down to under nine percent body fat for season 6 of his Adult Swim show. The good news? He liked what he saw in the mirror. The bad news? It was irritating for a devotee of French fries.
The 40-year-old comedian opened up to GQ about the rigorous process he put his body through while filming the latest season of The Eric André Show. For six months, André got rid of junk food and booze and adopted a clean, strict diet. He counted calories and hit the gym hard — with a variation of three-a-days — but one of the most important things, he said, was getting enough Zzzs. As in sleep. Not pizza.
That’s an important distinction, given that for season 5 he gained 40 pounds chowing down pizza every night and indulging on Pb&j sammies and chugging piña coladas. For season 6, he opted for tons of protein — meat,...

When “The Eric Andre Show” returns to the Adult Swim airwaves tonight after a three year hiatus, fans of Andre’s brand of surrealist talk show humor will be treated to another round of awkward interviews, deranged pranks, and naked PAs.
The series, which premiered in 2012, made Andre a star in alternative comedy circles. But after a successful five-year run, he paused the show in 2020 to pursue bigger projects. In a new interview with the Associated Press, Andre said that his decision to bring the show back for a sixth season was partially due to his Netflix movie “Bad Trip” not being the financial windfall that he expected it to be.

Comedian Eric Andre is returning to Adult Swim for a sixth season of his absurdist talk show “The Eric Andre Show,” and he says his reasoning is partially financial. In an interview with the Associated Press, published Saturday, Andre said he would’ve called it quits earlier had his 2021 film “Bad Trip” been at all lucrative for him.
“I was going to end [‘The Eric Andre Show’] after five seasons and then I didn’t make any money on ‘Bad Trip,’” Andre said.
The film, which André co-wrote, produced and starred in, was never released in theaters due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The hidden camera comedy went through distribution issues before eventually being released on Netflix in 2021. In a recent interview with Howard Stern, André said the film took nearly a decade to make, but he only made around $17,000 from it.
Despite its delayed release, the film was at one point the No.

It must be a daunting task to try to prank pop music’s reigning troll, but Eric Andre sure gave it his best shot. Lil Nas X had quite the visit at The Eric Andre Show, as you can see from a sneak-peek clip of the upcoming Season 6 premiere episode (via Rolling Stone).
Complete with a saucy new hairdo and decór reminiscent of an ’80s porno set, Andre welcomed Lil Nas X with a roar of audience applause and a jingle from the in-house band. The pair hardly had a moment to chat before a strange, screaming presence began bulging out of Andre’s desk like it was the haunted TV screen in Videodrome.
The host eventually got things back on track — that is, until some unidentified substance began misting from his microphone and made him very, very sleepy. A prankster himself, Lil Nas X surely knew what he was getting himself into,...

Between whippets, comedian Eric André dished on the upcoming sixth season of The Eric André Show at SXSW — his chaotic, everything-and-the-kitchen-sink late-night talk show wherein he gleefully terrorizes celebrity guests and regular folks alike. Who can forget the time Lauren Conrad sprinted out of his studio after André started lapping up his own vomit? Or rapper T.I. bolting when confronted by a plethora of full-frontal male nudity?
“I realized the hard way that the more violent a prank is doesn’t mean it’s necessarily better,” André told Rolling Stone.

Did anyone catch that sketch in James Corden's final "Late Late Show" where the unctuous Brit got a farewell from all the late night talk show hosts? Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Myers, and David Letterman all had a grand old time poking fun at Corden and his proclivity for singing and dancing before the host wakes up to find it was all a dream. Funny stuff.
If, like me, you find the whole late night scene a fascinating anachronism in 2023, you're not alone. The great comedian Tim Heidecker loves to skewer the increasingly outdated talk show format whenever he gets a chance. But he and his Abso Lutely productions, which he co-owns with fellow "Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job" star Eric Wareheim, have also gone a step further and provided the perfect salve for anyone overwhelmed by the mediocrity of Carpool Karaoke and pre-prepared talk show anecdotes.

One Tree Hill debuted on The CW in 2003, joining the ranks of teen soap operas. The show followed two brothers who had grown apart as they navigated life in the little town of Tree Hill, North Carolina. There is still a sizable following for the series, which starred James Lafferty, Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz, Chad Michael Murray, and Hilarie Burton.
Throughout its nine seasons, One Tree Hill had several celebrities make guest appearances on the show. One of them was Fall Out Boy’s, Pete Wentz. Fifteen years after the singer’s appearance on the show, Burton said Wentz’s cameo looked bad for him.

Lance Reddick's death has left what feels like a sudden and instant hole in the film and TV industry. The actor is rightfully being remembered for his turns in everything from "John Wick," to "The Wire," to "The Eric Andre Show," but I think one of his most exciting roles was still ahead of him. The actor sadly passed away with several projects in the works, but one of the most highly-anticipated was "Percy Jackson & The Olympians," which wrapped filming on season 1 last month.

There is no talk show guest experience like going on Adult Swim's "The Eric Andre Show." Andre, a surrealist prankster comedian whose antics regularly offend, does his best to terrify and torture his guests on the talk show from Hell. There have been some memorable interviewees who managed to get on the same weird, Dadaist level as Andre, like rapper Tyler, the Creator and skateboarder Tony Hawk, but no one expected "The Wire" star Lance Reddick to sit down in the stuffy warehouse and put up with the show's bizarre gauntlet. His appearance on the 2013 episode of the late-night series was pretty unexpected in and of itself, but his actions in the episode are even more surprising. Reddick not only punches Andre's desk and storms off, he then comes back dressed in rags with chains, a visor, and a Starfleet communicator badge on his bare chest. The actor always commits completely to a role,...

In a recent interview with Eric André, Rolling Stone sat down with the comedian at a bar in Austin, Texas, during SXSW. While discussing the sixth season of The Eric André Show, which premieres June 4, André recalled how Chet Hanks “broke” the show’s crew.
“He is … emotionally disturbed,” said the show host. “He stole a motorcycle and rode it around. He almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders. It was very dangerous. He tried to prank us back, but we edited out all his bullshit!

Chet Hanks has hit back at Eric André, who recently accused him of “breaking” the crew during a guest appearance on his show.
The 39-year-old comic hosts The Eric André Show, an absurdist unscripted sketch programme that parodies late-night talk shows. It features interviews with celebrities and celebrity impersonators, interspersed with chaotic man-on-the-street-type segments.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, André recalled Hanks, the 32-year-old son of Hollywood icons Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, allegedly engaging in “dangerous” behaviour while on set of the Adult Swim series.
Shortly after the interview was published (on 14 March), Hanks responded to André, labelling him “emotionally disturbed”.
“Had no idea you were such a p***y,” Hanks wrote, tagging him in an Instagram Story.
Hanks then followed up with a subsequent video, sharing his side of the story.
“So Eric André invites me onto his show. I had never seen it before, so I started watching episodes.

I’m starting to get a bit worried for Eric André’s health. We’re huddled together at a bar in Austin, Texas, during SXSW, where the gonzo comedian typically holds court, and he’s sucked in about a half-dozen whip-its thus far, laughing maniacally and locking eyes with me each time his big, blue balloon fills with nitrous oxide. It feels like a test of my equanimity; like I’m one of the guests on his hilariously demented Adult Swim series The Eric André Show that he delights in startling.

Ok, that was surreal. Johnny Knoxville, Eric Andre and Gabourey Sidibe re-creating the famous “Ghostbusters” commercial from the 1984 movie, but promoting a hotline for… pranks? But it’s all real, the phone number works (1-855-PRANX4U) and the three of them have indeed gotten into the pranks business via their upcoming ABC series “The Prank Panel.” Scroll below to watch the promo.

Austin, Texas — Patton Oswalt, Phoebe Robinson, Eric Andre, Chelsea Handler and others were in fine form on Friday night as Variety helped kick off the 2023 SXSW festival and conference with its Power of Comedy event.
The kudos pay tribute to innovators in the business of being funny. Presenters and honorees who gathered at the Creek and the Cave nightclub in downtown Austin made mention of comedians facing a fraught moment as social norms and cultural attitudes are changing.
Mike Lawrence, who tag-teamed with Nick Thune as host for the night, noted that he had to show more identification when registering to get his SXSW conference badge than he would have to buy a gun.
“In Texas it’s harder to get a festival badge than to get a gun,” Lawrence said. “Go to a gun store and tell them ‘I hate Jews,’ you get a gun. Go to registration and say ‘I’m an artist.
