Great effort and attention to detail was taken to replicate some of the real events, in example:
1. The clips at the very beginning of E1, of Alfonso Basterra Camporro, Rosario Porto Ortega and Asunta Yong Fang being interviewed about adoption, are an extremely accurate portrayal of the real interview. The exact same clothes were depicted for all three of them, and Asunta really was drinking an orange drink with a straw in the interview. The cutlery and crockery on the outdoor dining table is even exactly the same, down to the layout and the glass ashtray.
2. Asunta's bedroom at approximately 5:15 minutes in E1, is an almost exact replica of how the real 12-year-old girls room was found. Including the books on the floor as if she had been studying, the position of the cuddly dog toy, the doormat and the striped rug, the houses and cloud's wallpaper, the same pattern on the chair, and the green boxes under the desk.
3. Porto and Basterra really did take selfies with their daughters coffin. The white coffin, the cross, and the white flowers, seen at 41:40 minutes of E1, are all accurate details of the real wake.
Additionally, much of the clothing Porto and Basterra wear in the series are lifted from real photographs or film, as-well as the locations.

Candela Peña, who portrayed Rosario Porto Ortega, had to wear a wig for the role. The first time they put the wig on her, she started vomiting for hours and an ambulance was eventually called. The nurse who arrived had been the real Rosario's classmate. The nurse was very scared as she thought she was seeing the real Rosario Porto.
Candela Peña had to improve her pronunciation for the series, as long as she comes from Cataluña while her character is from Galicia. As stated in "El Faro de Vigo" journal, she had two specialists in phonetics, Charo Pena y Rosa Moledo's, advise and help, in order to achieve the correct performance of the vocal expression. According to her, the most difficult word to pronounce was the name of the character's husband, "Alfonso"
In 2001, Rosario Porto Ortega, a lawyer, and Alfonso Basterra Camporro, a journalist, decided to adopt Asunta Yong Fang, from China, after struggling to conceive children of their own. Asunta was the first Chinese child to be adopted in the city of Santiago de Compostela, and one of the first in all of Galicia.
The mentioned "Lorazepam" medication, which is mainly used to treat anxiety and sleeping problems that are related to anxiety, is also known by its brand name "Ativan".
