If you ask Donnie Wahlberg, his marriage to Jenny McCarthy is all about their love for each other, not their fame.
The Blue Bloods actor and his The Masked Singer judge wife may be well-known in Hollywood, but Donnie says they don’t consider themselves a “Hollywood couple.”
During a recent chat with Fox News Digital, the NKotB crooner admitted that he and his bride of nearly ten years are “very much in love,” and that’s the main focus of their marriage.
“We’re proud of the fact that we’re a successful couple,” the 54-year-old father of two shared.
But the thought of being considered a “Hollywood couple” is somewhat revolting to the lovebirds.
“We kind of shudder at the term Hollywood couple,” Donnie continued. “Like, when we got together, and people were like, ‘New Hollywood couple, they’ll last two years.’”

Jenny McCarthy’s son Evan Asher has debuted a new single, inspired by his crush on Selena Gomez.
The “Masked Singer” star paid a visit to Chris Harrison’s “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever”, and opened up about the new song that her 20-year-old son — whom she shares with ex John Asher — wrote and sang.
According to McCarthy, the project was a family affair, with her husband Donnie Wahlberg producing the track while her ex directed the music video.

Jenny McCarthy Discusses a Previous ‘Dark, Abusive’ Relationship that ‘Could Have Easily Killed’ Her

Speaking with E! News, the former The View co-host shared about being in an unhealthy four-year romance with a former ex-boyfriend (she did not reveal his identity).
“What I thought was gonna be a typical relationship, turned into a relationship that you would never think you would get yourself into. Especially me. “It’s sort of what I’m supposed to do,” says the legendary songwriter/composer Burt Bacharach — a man who has written the music for 48 Top 10 hits, including nine that reached the top of the charts, and who has won eight Grammys, three Oscars and the Library of Congress’ 2011 Gershwin Prize for Popular Song — as we sit down in his Pacific Palisades piano room to record an episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘s ‘Awards Chatter’ podcast, and I ask him what keeps him working at the age of 88. “Sometimes I have to force it,” he admits. “But it’s what I’ve done. Even if I don’t write anything any good, just let me keep my fingers wet.”

Sometimes you merely ask for the moon and end up getting the stars. That's what happened to director John Asher, who saw Burt Bacharach on a plane and inquired about licensing the master's song "Close to You" for Po, a drama about a boy with autism and his newly widowed dad. The composer had a better idea. "The more I looked at the film, the more I kept getting drawn into it," says Bacharach. "I started to think, 'Maybe I'd like to score it for you.' "

Wreckage (2010)
Directed by: John Asher
Written by: David Frigerio
Cast: Aaron Paul (Rick), Mike Erwin (Jared), Cameron Richardson (Kate), Scoot McNairy (Frank), Kelly Kruger (Jessica), Roger Perry (Sheriff Macabee), John Asher (Deputy Berry), Lisa Ann Walter (Doctor Richardson)
Cult horror movies that have actors in them that go on to mega stardom create a separate category all their own. Kevin Bacon in “Friday the 13th”, George Clooney in “Horror High”, and Johnny Depp in the original “A Nightmare on Elm Street”. I don’t know what it is, but it ruins it for me a little bit, because when I watch the movie thereafter, that’s all I see. Then there are the films that might have been buried before (sometimes for good reason), but enjoy a resurrection, and maybe even a redesigned cover with the now famous star’s name displayed prominently, even...

Jenny McCarthy is starting a new chapter of her life, leaving The View after just one season and preparing to walk down the aisle with financé Donnie Wahlberg. Luckily, McCarthy - a Playboy model turned actress, activist and author - is no stranger to reinvention. "When I first moved out to L.A. and I was a Playmate, I'd be asked, 'What do you want to do?' I'd reply, 'Comedy.' They'd say, 'Honey, that's funny. A Playmate in comedy? That's never going to happen.' But then I was on Singled Out," she says in the fall issue of New You magazine,...

Just as the cast of Taken 3 starts coming together, the news has emerged that there's even more Bryan Mills headkickery in the works. This is a bit different though: the project just announced is a "Naked Gun style" spoof, currently called Tooken. The screenplay is by John Asher and Cameron Van Hoy, with Asher set to direct. Asher previously made the indie comedies Somebody Marry Me and Who The F Is Buddy Applebaum, and the low-budget horror Wreckage. As an actor, he played the young Donald Sutherland in Space Cowboys, and took the Anthony Michael Hall role in the TV series of Weird Science.Van Hoy, meanwhile, produced, wrote and acted in something called Sharkproof with Jon Lovitz in 2012, and Treasure Of The Black Jaguar in 2010. Interestingly, he's also behind the spoof short film Taken 3: Back To Normal, which we can possibly now view as some sort of Tooken proof of concept.

Revealing some shocking details on Tuesday's (January 14) episode of "The View, " blonde bombshell Jenny McCarthy said that she was rejected by "The Bachelorette" back in 2005.
Getting playful on the panel during the show, Barbara Walters said to the 41-year-old beauty, "You tried out to be a ‘Bachelorette’ and you did not make it!"
Jenny laughed, saying, "No one knows that!" later stating that she was "lonely" after her divorce from ex-husband, John Asher, claiming that she "needed to be loved."
Of the experience, the former Playmate said, "I did this show called Singled Out on MTV back in the day, so I knew that if I thought it would be great because I was single and I love TV, so put those together and brilliant."

Jenny McCarthy, tired of media reports claiming that her son Evan may not actually have autism, released a statement to confirm that her son is indeed afflicted with the developmental disorder.
Jenny McCarthy Slams Reports About Son's Autism Cure
"Stories circulating online, claiming that I said my son Evan may not have autism after all, are blatantly inaccurate and completely ridiculous,” McCarthy wrote in a statement posted to her Twitter account. "Evan was diagnosed with autism by the Autism Evaluation Clinic at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital and was confirmed by the State of California (through their Regional Center).”
“The implication that I have changed my position, that my child was not initially diagnosed with autism (and instead may suffer from Landau-Kleffner Syndrome), is both irresponsible and inaccurate,” The View host added. “These stories cite a “new” Time Magazine interview with me, which was actually published in 2010, that never contained any such statements by me.

The Sweetest Thing (Roger Kumble, 2002)
The success of Bridesmaids aside, the raunchy female comedy is still a fairly rare subgenre in American filmmaking. To further muddy the waters as to what constitutes this genre, a lot of these films are written by women but directed by men—Bridesmaids fits this category, as do Dirty Love (John Asher, 2005), What's Your Number? (Mark Mylod, 2011), and the charmingly playful The Sweetest Thing (Roger Kumble, 2002). There are many things to like in Bridesmaids, but it does still lumber along with the same old Apatowesque narrative bloat that infects a lot of mainstream Us comedy. But The Sweetest Thing is breezy. It tries on different forms of genre and realism as though the entire movie were a fitting room. (There's even a scene that virtually literalizes this interpretation, if you've seen the movie.) Impromptu musical, buddy movie, romantic comedy: The Sweetest Thing is like a tour.

Single mom Jenny McCarthy has a two-point checklist for any of her potential suitors.
"Number one is, 'Do you like kids?' And number two is, 'Do you have kids?'" the host of VH1's "Jenny McCarthy Show" told People magazine.
McCarthy implemented this test after a recent blind date. She flew to another city to have dinner with a man who, just minutes into the date, talked about how much he despised kids. The kicker? He knew she was a mother before they even went out!
"I didn't even get to the check," the six-time Playboy covergirl told the magazine. "I said, 'Excuse me.' I got up and grabbed my purse and walked out the door and flew home."
McCarthy was previously married to actor and director John Asher. The former couple filed for divorce in 2005 after nearly six years of marriage. They have one child together -- a 10-year-old son.

Helmer John Asher has managed to shoot Somebody Marry me, a feature-length comedy with just one shot. Apparently the historic 98 minute film took 18 days to write and 3 weeks of rehearsal with the cast prior to shooting the whole pic without a single cut. That's quite impressive. The Kimberly Stuckwisch and Ben Milliken-produced film which was funded and produced by independent film financier Lamar Billups, is a heartwarming romantic comedy with a twist. Starring is Oscar-nominated Michael Lerner (Barton Fink) and The Soprano’s Ray Abruzzo, with a supporting cast including Annie Burgstede, Jeff Doucette and Leslie Murphy, among others. In Somebody Marry Me, David Rosenberg has just a few hours to find a woman to marry before his wealthy father gives his entire inheritance to his young spoiled stepmother. After losing his girlfriend, David posts an ad online looking for a wife and quickly finds himself in over his head.
