- In the period of 1971-1985, before pursuing an acting career, Tony was a popular lounge singer in the Catskills (NY) and Poconos (PA) resort areas. In 1971, he appeared on "The Tonight Show" hosted by Johnny Carson and was a frequent guest locally in NYC on "The Joe Franklin Show" (TV).
- Received the 24th Distinguished Citizen Award from the Hudson Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America. October 10, 1997 was decreed Tony Darrow Day.
- He has appeared in six films directed by Woody Allen: Bullets Over Broadway (1994), Mighty Aphrodite (1995), Deconstructing Harry (1997), Celebrity (1998), Sweet and Lowdown (1999) and Small Time Crooks (2000).
