On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, Jimmy Kimmel reminded viewers what former President Trump thinks of veterans.
The day marks the date that Allied forces stormed the beaches of northern France.
Kimmel initially gave “Draft Dodger Don” credit for his “respectful” social media post to mark the date.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Today, we honor the immortal heroes who landed at Normandy 80 years ago. The men of D-Day will live forever in history as among the bravest, noblest, and greatest Americans ever to walk the earth. They shed their blood, and thousands gave their lives, in defense of American Freedom. They are in our hearts today and for all time”.
Kimmel said that he agreed with the above and “would even be somewhat moved by” the post, had it not been for the fact that 12 hours prior, he wrote, “What I’ve gone through, no one has ever gone through…...

Jimmy Kimmel has shared an update about his ‘brave’ son after the seven-year-old underwent open-heart surgery for the third time. Kimmel revealed on social media that his son Billy, who was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, recently had another cardiac surgery. A Journey Through Heart Surgeries Kimmel recalled the history of Billy’s health issues, mentioning that he was just a few days old when he was first diagnosed. In his emotional 2017 monologue, Kimmel explained: They did an X-ray and his lungs were fine which meant his heart wasn’t. Facing Challenges With Optimism This weekend, our boy Billy had his...

Jimmy Kimmel had a bone to pick with Larry David, and finally got the chance to confront the Curb Your Enthusiasm creator/star about it.
David was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night—in a sit-down that was originally scheduled to happen on Monday, March 11, the day after Kimmel hosted the Oscars. That interview never happened as, according to David’s publicity team, the comedian was still reeling from the death of his close friend and co-star Richard Lewis, who sadly passed away in late February. Kimmel understood… until a very “Larry David” thing happened. Which the host confronted him about.
Kimmel waited until the very end of their interview to say he had “a somewhat uncomfortable question to ask you,” which didn’t seem to surprise David.
“So I hosted the Oscars on Sunday [March 10], and on Monday you were our guest.

Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Kenan Thompson, Michael Che and Colin Jost all have hosted the Primetime Emmys in the past 15 years, but the late-night community once again is feeling aggrieved by the TV Academy as it heads into the latest awards season.
The central issue relates to the number of nominations in the Outstanding Talk Series and Outstanding Variety Series categories and the difficulty with fairly judging a wide range of shows that can be very different from each other.
Insiders tell Deadline that there needs to be a change in terms of how late-night shows and variety series are judged at the Emmys. However, no one can really agree what that change is.
As the television world prepares for Emmy nominations to be unveiled on July 17, there are expected to be only three talk shows nominated for an award. Separately, Saturday Night Live and Last...

Donald Trump said the quiet part out loud when he promised that, if he is reelected president in November, he’ll use the justice department to take down his enemies. And Jimmy Kimmel is not wrong to imagine that he might be near the very top of that list. So he used part of the 20 minutes he had to sit down with Vice President Kamala Harris Tuesday night to ask a very important question: should he be worried?
“Trump has made it pretty plain that he’s planning to go after his ‘enemies’ or whatever you want to call them,” Kimmel said. “Realistically, what can a president do to, umm, say a talk show host that has been making fun of him… What can he actually do to, like, oh, for example, me?”
While Harris understood that the question was asked partly in jest, she doesn’t seem to think...

Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two was the first big blockbuster of the year and led to a horde of new fans joining the fandom. The Timothée Chalamet starrer was based on Frank Herbert’s popular sci-fi novels and was the sequel of 2021’s Dune: Part One. The film also starred Stellan Skarsgård, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, and more.
While the film’s release led to many ‘Lisan-al-Gaib’ memes, nothing from the film went as viral as the infamous Dune popcorn bucket. The sandworm-shaped bucket was an object of ridicule from fans as well as the stars themselves. Ryan Reynolds recently released the Deadpool and Wolverine popcorn bucket as a joke, to which Villeneuve has responded.

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night daily ratings on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.
The entire late-night landscape returned to the airwaves this past Monday, June 3, after what had been a dark week for most of them.
CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! split first place, with the former averaging the most total viewers and the latter averaging the most P18-49 viewers at 11:35 p.m. on Monday.
Per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, Kimmel averaged 1,599,000 total viewers with 234,000 P18-49 viewers on Monday, June 3 at 11:35 p.m. That’s up +36% in total viewers and +49% in P18-49 viewers from the previous Monday telecast (a rebroadcast). The week-to-week gain makes sense. The previous Monday was Memorial Day and featured a Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Kamala Harris stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live and took the opportunity to reflect on former president Donald Trump’s recent felony conviction. In a lengthy, broad-ranging interview, Harris acknowledged that she believes people should be held accountable for their crimes, regardless of who they are.

Vice President Kamala Harris had some biting words about Donald Trump on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight, making it a point to comment on his recent New York felony conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
Like President Joe Biden, Harris has started to chime in on the state court case, after the administration and the campaign had said little as the six-week trial played out.
In studio in Hollywood, Harris told Kimmel, “A jury of 12 people, peers, over the course of six weeks, deliberated on the evidence and facts and unanimously determined guilt on 34 felony counts. There was a defense attorney who actively participated in selecting that jury, who actively made decisions about witnesses to call, witnesses to cross examine. And the jury made their decision and you know, I think that the reality is, cheaters don’t like getting caught and being held accountable.”

Missed Monday’s late-night monologues? We’ve got you covered with our round-up of the night’s best laughs from across the dial.
So, Anything Happen Last Week?
Look, nobody could have predicted how quickly a duly selected New York jury would convict Donald Trump of all 34 counts in his felony trial for falsifying financial records to hide his serial adultery to sway an election. But c’mon, late-night hosts—taking the first week of jury deliberations off for vacation? Well, with only Jimmy Kimmel having had the foresight to schedule new shows last week (thus getting a head start on all the monologue schadenfreude), that just means that Messrs. Colbert Stewart, Meyers, and Fallon all had extra time to kick back, laugh themselves silly at the first-time-ever spectacle of a former United States President being convicted in a criminal court, and then get down to work writing all the...

Everyone knows that former US President Donald Trump has been found guilty on all 34 felony charges, and he is currently one of the most talked-about people in the industry. Although Trump is not a member of the entertainment industry – he did appear in several movies and had a reality show of his own – the whole industry is talking about him and his conviction. Although most of them rightfully criticized the former President, there were some who stood behind him, like the Quaid brothers or Jon Voight. One of the most recent additions to the list of celebrities who have commented on Trump is legendary talk show host John Oliver, who said the following (in short): “A New York businessman got into some legal trouble, which was undeniably fun to watch unfold live.”

During the latest episode of Last Week Tonight, John Oliver joined the list of Hollywood notables who have reacted to Donald Trump’s guilty verdict in his New York hush money trial.
On Thursday, a jury found the former president guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records after weeks of testimony from a former tabloid publisher, a Hollywood fixer, Trump’s former lawyer and a porn star. It was also a historic day, as Trump also became the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes.
“A New York businessman got into some legal trouble, which was undeniably fun to watch unfold live,” Oliver said at the beginning of the show.
The comedian proceeded to play a clip from NBC News’ live coverage of the verdict reading, where senior legal correspondent Laura Jarrett verbally read “guilty” for each individual count.

Norman Lear was not a man to shy away from controversy. If anything, he sprinted toward it, knowing that doing so would help open people’s minds to pervasive American issues related to discrimination, human rights, and more. Through his landmark sitcoms like “All in the Family,” “Maude,” “Sanford and Son,” “One Day at a Time” (twice!), and “Good Times” (also twice!), Lear helped American families address thorny political and social topics by bringing those circumstances into their living rooms every week.
But one episode has long stood out as his most controversial: “Maude’s Dilemma,” a two-part episode airing in the first season, wherein the lead character (played by Bea Arthur) decides to get an abortion. At the time, abortions were legal in the state of New York (where Maude and her family lived), but the Roe v. Wade verdict was still two months away. CBS was wary about...

As yet, ABC has made not a peep about reversing its decision to cancel Station 19 following what was arguably its strongest season. Neither, for that matter, has the network seized the opportunity to launch a Crisis One spinoff. But if the Grey’s Anatomy offshoot were to be offered a new lease on life, Peter Paige and Zoanne Clack — the showrunners who raised the drama to a new creative zenith — wouldn’t just be on board, they’d be “100%” on board, Paige tells TVLine.

He was the protagonist of his own film series, has been in many Oscar-winning projects, has been nominated for the award five times himself, and even won once. It is safe to say that he is one of the most talented, respected, and recognized actors in the film industry.

Jimmy Kimmel has finally scored a meeting with the Vice President.
VP Kamala Harris is now scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, June 4.
She was initially slated to guest on Kimmel’s April 16th episode, but postponed the appearance days after it was announced, cutting her Los Angeles trip short for an undisclosed reason.
At the time, insiders said her interview would be rescheduled for a later date. (Harris’ next talk show appearance wound up being The Kelly Clarkson Show on April 29.)
Her appearance will come less than a week after yesterday’s conviction of former President Donald Trump on 34 felony charges related to hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels. Last night, Kimmel had the distinction of being the only late-night host not on vacation the day the news broke.
Harris last appeared on a late-night show in March 2023 when she guested on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Jimmy Kimmel wasted no time weighing in on the Trump verdict Thursday night, revealing he “had to rewrite his entire monologue” following the announcement.

After seven long weeks the courtoom is empty and Donald Trump’s diaper is full,” Kimmel joked to a cheering audience.
Kimmel noted it played out “in a strange way”, which led to the last-minute monologue shift. “It was a mess,” he said.
He then enlisted Guillermo to play the foreman and Kimmel played the judge as they re-enacted the announcement of the 34 guilty verdicts.
“Poor Donald Trump, seven weeks of sleep-farting all down the drain,” he remarked. “All for nothing.”

How long before he starts bragging about this?” “Maybe he isn’t Teflon, maybe he’s one of those sticky traps for rats,” Kimmel continued. “Maybe he’s a wet pocket full of gummy worms.” Trump was arrested in April 2023 and charged with 34 felony counts in relation to a hush money payment made...

It probably counts as fitting that the only late-night host working on the historic night of May 30, 2024, when a former President of the United States—and serious contender to return to power—was convicted of 34 felonies in the first criminal trial of a president in history was the man most likely to get under the new felon’s orange skin.
Not to mention the only late-night host actually mentioned in the trial transcript: Jimmy Kimmel.
Did Jimmy take a victory lap on his show last night? Only like Secretariat after finishing the Triple Crown.
“It is very satisfying to see this guy finally get some comeuppance,” Kimmel said as he basically grinned his way through his monologue and an accompanying comedy bit, which consisted of over 16 minutes of pure Trump schadenfreude.
Kimmel announced the guilty verdicts to an audience almost as stoked as he was by the idea of Trump being convicted.

Talk about bad timing. Of the five nightly late-night shows, all but one are on vacation this week. Which means Jimmy Kimmel has the Trump verdict all to himself tonight.
So what’s a vacationing Late Nighter to do when the story you’ve been tracking in your nightly monologues for years now reaches its climax and your show is in repeats?
You take to social media, apparently.
Shortly after a jury found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in his historic New York hush money trial, The Daily Show posted this message to X/Twitter “Justice Alito has called for upside down American flags to be flown at half mast.”
An hour later, the same account posted this:

Tavaris Williams made Wheel of Fortune history with his viral Nsfw answer, and now the game show contestant is ready to cash in on his newly found fame.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Tavaris’s puzzle-solving attempt sent shockwaves across the Wheel of Fortune community when he blurted out a tasteless guess.
Faced with a $1,000 toss-up puzzle in the “Phrase” category, Tavaris buzzed in before his opponents when the puzzle board read, “_ _ _ _ / I _ / T _ E / B _ _ T!”
Tavaris astounded host Pat Sajak, his fellow competitors, the live studio audience, and Wheel of Fortune viewers at home when he answered, “Right in the butt!”
Tavaris’s answer was clearly incorrect, and Pat handled the on-air moment with grace, joking with Tavaris.
“Tavaris, you’ve already made an impression on us,” Pat told him. “We’ll figure out a way to handle that tastefully. I have no idea what that’ll be,...

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are unforgettable actors. And even early in their careers, they stood out in a sea of extras, according to Kevin Costner.
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Costner recalled his memories of the young stars working on Field of Dreams.

Deadpool & Wolverine are on their way to tickle your funny bone (and possibly rip a few off) with their buddy anti-hero action comedy, and we finally have an official synopsis that sounds as nuts as the genre we mentioned above. And it seems like Marvel Studios is fully into this R-rated ride.

In the original Top Gun which was released in 1986, Tom Cruise’s Maverick spends a lot of time butting heads with Val Kilmer’s Iceman. However, the film’s ending saw the two turn their rivalry into an unexpected friendship and thus gave fans one of the best bonds in the film. Val Kilmer then returned to the role in Top Gun: Maverick, although for a short period of time.

Just in case you weren’t sure where Jimmy Kimmel stood in the upcoming presidential election, he’s making it explicit, taking part in an upcoming fundraiser that will see him in conversation with President Biden and Former President Obama.
The event, which is scheduled to take place June 15th in Los Angeles, comes on the heels of a New York event hosted by Kimmel’s late-night competitor Stephen Colbert. That event, which saw Colbert interview Biden, Obama and Bill Clinton at Radio City Music Hall, raised a record-setting $26 million for Biden’s reelection campaign.
A venue hasn’t yet been announced for Kimmel’s event, but it’s set to include at least two other Hollywood heavy hitters in George Clooney and Julia Roberts, who are being billed as “special guests.”
