The Joker, chief antagonist of the Batman franchise, has cycled through any number of looks during his flashy 76-year career. In the past, he has been closely associated with elegant yet flamboyant tailored purple suits. But the incarnation of the character that’s probably freshest in people’s memories right now is the muscular, tattooed, Hot Topic-loving jester played by Jared Leto in 2016’s Suicide Squad. The responsibility of creating a ”Clown Prince Of Crime” for the 21st century fell, at least in part, to artist Tina Charad, who was credited as a “costume graphic illustrator” on Suicide Squad. Recently, through her Imgur account, Charad shared some alternate, unused looks for Leto’s Joker, including makeup, wardrobe, and accessories. These pictures give fans a glimpse of the Suicide Squad that could have been but mercifully wasn’t.

Upon release, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad proved to be pretty divisive. Among other things, people took issue with some of the costumes that the characters sported, especially Jared Leto’s Joker. With tattoos covering his body and a grill in his mouth, it was certainly a different look for the iconic villain, and one that fans didn’t take too kindly to.
This wasn’t the only design that the filmmakers had for the character though, as another batch of concept art/photos have now surfaced online, this time from Costume Graphic Illustrator Tina Charad, giving us a glimpse at what both the Joker and Harley Quinn could have ended up looking like had Ayer gone with Charad’s first few ideas. Whether or not any of these would have...

- We Got This Covered
Earlier today, we got a look at some alternate designs for Jared Leto's Joker, and now costume graphic illustrator Tina Charad has shared some of her work revolving around Harley Quinn. There's a lot of great stuff here, but many of the makeup, costume, and tattoo designs are very unusual, and the portrait of The Joker covering her entire torso (breasts included) are pretty bizarre to say the least! As you can see, she even had "Puddin" written across her butt at one point, and while that may have been ok in an R-Rated version of Suicide Squad, it's something many fans probably wouldn't have wanted to see. The jacket designs are fun though, and it definitely would have been interesting to see some of these ideas make it into the movie. Still, Margot Robbie's version did look pretty perfect. What do you guys think of these alternate designs?...

To say Jared Leto's take on The Joker has divided fans would be an understatement, but the biggest issue many seem to have is with his appearance. From the tattoos to the grill and his choice of clothes, it's clear the DC Films Universe's version of the Clown Prince of Crime isn't what most wanted to see. Are any of the alternate designs below an improvement though? Costume Graphic Illustrator Tina Charad has shared a new batch of images from her work on the movie, and as you can see, they provide an interesting glimpse at what might have been and the process they used to transform Leto. If and when The Joker does return, it's entirely possible that he'll have a new look. After all, his comic book counterpart is known for reinventing himself, so Warner Bros. could easily ditch what didn't work. There's been no mention of...
