Monika Zielinska is Comedy Central's Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development, West Coast. She reports to Jonas Larsen, Executive President, Talent and Development, West Coast, and is based in the company's Hollywood office. Zielinska is responsible for identifying and developing talent for all west coast-based Comedy Central original series and pilots.
Zielinska joined Comedy Central in 2002 as a part of the west-coast original programming and development team, becoming Vice President in 2013. During this time she was a key member in launching and developing a number of successful Comedy Central shows. She served as the Comedy Central Executive in Charge of Production for several hit series including Another Period, Idiotsitter, and the animated mind-bending TripTank. Zielinska's work in programming, development, and production also includes serving as one of the Comedy Central Executives in Charge of Production on Reno 911! and the first two seasons of Key & Peele.
Zielinska also proved to be a key force in overseeing the development and production of shows like Legends of Chamberlain Heights, Jeff & Some Aliens, Problematic with Moshe Kasher, and Detroiters, executive produced, created and written by Sam Richardson, Tim Robinson, Joe Kelly and Zach Kanin and executive produced by Broadway Video and Jason Sudeikis.
Prior to working at Comedy Central, Zielinska worked at the United Talented Agency after graduating from the University of Michigan.
