Yes, I’ll concede that the current season of Legends of Tomorrow has a lot going for it, but you have to admit how the inclusion of John Constantine helped boost interest in the series. After his own show was unfortunately cancelled by NBC after only 13 episodes, Matt Ryan’s iteration of the exorcist has become an unexpected and welcome addition to the Arrowverse in the time since.
Because of his continuing popularity, there’s just a certain level of excitement surrounding each episode of Legends that has a significant focus on Constantine. In fact, he’s proven to be key ingredient in season 4, seeing as how so much of it is based in magic and the fantastical, not to mention how this year’s big bad, Neron, has now taken on the likeness of John’s ex-boyfriend.

Although a portion of the Arrowverse is unfortunately on hiatus yet again for the time being, the truth of the matter is that we’re about to begin the final stretch of episodes for the season, so now is the time to get excited. In fact, Legends of Tomorrow has only four more installments to offer this spring, with the season finale set to air on April 9. Given that, it’s fully expected that things heat up considerably.
So, even though we have another appearance to be made by Matt Ryan’s John Constantine to enjoy later tonight, it doesn’t hurt to begin talking about next week’s episode. Speaking of which, the network has just spoiled us with images from “I, Ava,” which is scheduled to debut on March 26, and can be viewed in the accompanying gallery.
Aside from Sara Lance seemingly having a grip over the Death Totem’s power,...

Directed by Chris Grismer
Airs Thursdays at 8pm (Et) on the CW
This week, on The Vampire Diaries: Malaric means business, Bonnie channels the dark stuff, and Klaus chooses followers over family
Despite The Vampire Diaries history of strong, action-packed season endings, there were those nervous about Malaric, Klaus, and all the other storylines the writers are currently juggling, and whether they’d be able to pull it all together in so few episodes. Fortunately, any such concerns are put to bed this week before the title card even comes up. Malaric enters the scene with appropriate menace, drive, and determination and Matt Davis sells this new, fully transitioned character, radiating intensity and purpose. There are slight glimmers of humanity underneath the performance, keeping Elena, and the audience,...
