Shenelle Mays Smith

Shenelle Mays-Smith attended SKS for three years and played soccer and enjoyed
theater. After graduation, she attended North Carolina Central University where she
studied performance.
Ms. Mays-Smith is the founder, owner and CEO of Lovingly Makeup, having built her
beauty business under one core principle: to give beauty is to give love.
Trained in New York and London,' Ms. Mays-Smith s clientele boasts such luminaries
as Alicia Keys, Paula Abdul, Zendaya, Chrisette Michelle, Melanie Fiona, Jasmine
Sullivan, ZOE Kravitz, and Elise Neal. She has also groomed "A-List" male superstars
including Kendrick Lamar and OuKast's Big Boi.
In worldwide appointments throughout the Americas, Europe, South Africa, Japan and
Indonesia, Ms. Mays-Smith has done make-up for red carpets and stage appearances
at the Grammy's, Brit Awards, BET Honors, Soul Train Awards, and New York Fashion
Week. Her screen credits cover "If Loving You is Wrong" (Tyler Perry), "RB Divas LA"
"Blood Sweat and Heels"
"MTV Making the Band", and '
"Real Husbands of Hollywood.
A respected industry leader,' Ms. Mays-Smiths makeup and self-care tips and tutorials
have been featured in the pages of People, Essence, InStyle, and Kontrol magazines.
Ms. Mays-Smith's work isn't about celebrity connections or making headlines. Her focus
has always been on helping everyday women fall in love with their own countenance by
highlighting their inner glow. She is committed to service and providing clients with self-
care options to optimize their beauty, raising their self-esteem and possibility of success
in pursing their dreams in a world that often seems to tell them not to be comfortable in
their own skin. To achieve this goal and reach women beyond super-sized stages,
catwalks and celebrity red carpets, each year Ms. Mays-Smith partners with Black
Celebrity Giving (BCG) to beautify women impacted by domestic violence. BCG's
campaign hosts an empowerment panel and makeover sessions meant to uplift
participants. Ms. Mays-Smith also volunteers for Little Miss Black U.S. pageants
throughout Georgia.
Splitting her professional appointments between New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta,
Ms. Mays-Smith also works to empower beauty-industry professionals, hosting
workshops throughout the country and online where she shares her success and helps
others break into the beauty industry
Ms. Mays-Smith lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband Jeremy Smith and their two
children Maxwell (5) and Marli Monroe (2).
