The fate of CBS owner Paramount Global remains way up in the air, and the future of broadcast TV in general remains a big question mark. But as CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said on Tuesday at the Banff World Media Festival, that’s not stopping her from plotting her primetime development plans way into the future.
“What’s great as we’re talking about 2025-26, in some cases, we’ve even pinpointed places where we want to be developing for 2026-27 already,” she said. “That’s the joy of working at CBS, and with the schedule and the stability that we have on the schedule, that we can think that far in advance. We’re crazy if we’re not taking advantage of that.”
Reisenbach noted that the move away from a dedicated pilot season has allowed her to take time in developing shows like “Tracker” — which was picked...

X-men '97 Scores TCA Nomination For Outstanding New Program Alongside Shogun, Ripley & Baby Reindeer
The Television Critics Association announced their picks for the best shows of the 2023-2024 TV season on Monday, and in a pleasantly surprising development, Marvel Studios' recent Disney+ series, X-Men '97, picked up two significant nominations.
The animated revival scored nominations for Outstanding New Program and Outstanding Achievement in Family Programming.
Though X-Men '97 proved to be a big hit with fans and critics alike, it's rare that an animated series - and a superhero animated series at that - would receive any TCA recognition, especially outside of the Children's Programming category.
What are the mutant heroes' chances of picking up the win? Well, the show is up against some heavy hitters such as Shōgun, Baby Reindeer and Ripley, so, fittingly, they are the underdogs here.
Former showrunner Beau DeMayo shared the following post in response to the news.

Big Brother alums Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes tried to pull a fast one on reality TV fans.
And the joke turned out to be pretty funny.
As conjecture surfaced about The Traitors 3 cast, several posts popped up on social media about who might or might not be heading to Scotland.
It was very similar to how Danielle Reyes recently complained about not getting to play on The Traitors, only for fans to find out she was on the new cast.
This time, the story was pushed that Britney was in Greece vacationing, and her friend Janelle was there to help spin that narrative.
The amusing part about the joke was that anyone paying close attention could tell it was all a ruse.
Janelle and Britney go to Greece?
“Having the Best time,” read an Instagram Story Britney Haynes reportedly shared online.

The Traitors 3 cast list was revealed this morning.
With filming beginning in Scotland, Peacock surprised fans with the big revelation.
This past weekend, host Alan Cumming announced he had chosen the Traitors, and now we get a peak behind the curtain.
Speculation about who would be on the new cast has been floating around for a while.
The good news is that Peacock has 21 new reality TV stars playing the game this season.
The bad news is that we have to wait until the episodes debut.
Who is on The Traitors 3 cast?
The new players in Scotland include people from Big Brother, Survivor, The Real Housewives, Selling Sunset, The Bachelorette, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Vanderpump Rules.
There is even a British Royal in the mix this year.
Alliances are key on a show like this, and having four people from Survivor at CBS and four people from The Real Housewives on Bravo should be interesting.

Hulu has to be pretty pleased with its list of new releases for June 2024. That’s because it’s about to be the summer of The Bear once again.
The Bear season 3 premieres all of its episodes on June 27 on Hulu. This FX dramedy has proven to be one of the most successful shows of its era. Jeremy Allen White stars as Carmy Berzatto, a world-famous chef who returns home to Chicago to help his floundering family restaurant after the death of his brother. Season 2 saw The Original Beef of Chicagoland crew transform the spot into fine dining establishment The Bear. It ruled. So will season 3 probably.

As we head into the summer, Hulu is shaping up to be one of the most valuable streaming services to have in the month of June. Not only is one of the best shows on television returning for its third season, but the Disney-owned general entertainment platform is also launching a new comedy banner, and FX goes behind the scenes of one of the most explosive situations in recent sports history.
“The Bear” will drop all 10 of its Season 3 episodes on June 27 in what is undoubtedly one of the year’s most anticipated releases. However, that is not the only hot title coming to Hulu in June, the streamer will also launch its “Hulu’s Laughing Now” brand, the sports-focused series “Clipped” that dramatizes the downfall of Donald Sterling as the owner of the LA Clippers, and the documentary “Brats” that brings together members of the legendary Brat Pack to chronicle their rise to fame.

June is busting out all over, especially on streaming. Whether it’s hiding from the heat or taking a break from school and work, Disney+ and Hulu are here to satisfying your mid-year entertainment needs.
Disney+ will premiere the first new live-action Star Wars since 2023’s middling to “The Mandalorian” Season 3 and “Ahsoka” with “The Acolyte,” starring “Squid Game” breakout Lee Jung-jae. The series is set before the events of “The Phantom Menace” with a familiar master-padawan storyline but new characters and a new era where that dynamic unfolds. The streamer will also premiere various new options for kids and family-friendly programming, as well as new episodes of “Doctor Who” starring Ncuti Gatwa.
On Hulu, FX comes in hot for the summer, along with an adaptation of Candice Carty-Williams’s “Queenie,” the brat-pack documentary “Brats,” and yes — more “Love Island.” The TV and film library continues to shift with new and expiring titles,...

Rod and Leticia Gardner entered the final leg on “The Amazing Race 36” on a high. They had won the penultimate leg after Leticia crushed the windsurfing Roadblock and things were going well on the last leg in Philadelphia — until they got to Betsy Ross House. Each team member had to memorize and recite sections of the preamble of the Declaration of Independence, and Rod struggled. A lot.
“He never wants to look at it again,” Leticia quips to Gold Derby (watch above).
“I was like, man, this is one thing that doesn’t play to my strengths,” Rod says. “I could not remember that Declaration to save my life.”
The former NFL wide receiver doesn’t recall how many attempts he made, but they were there for a long time — long enough for Juan and Shane, who took an accidental detour to New Jersey to catch up. “We wanted our...

Vinny Cagungun proposed to his girlfriend, Amber Craven, after their fourth-place finish in The Amazing Race finale on Wednesday, May 15, which surprised viewers given the couple’s frequent arguments throughout the season. However, Cagungun has claimed the arguments were taken “out of context” and blamed the producers for cutting up different parts of the edit to make the conflicts appear worse than they really were. “I learned what a frankenbite is pretty much, where they just cut you up with a bunch of different edits and take it really, really out of context,” Cagungun told Us Weekly on Thursday (May 16), one day after the finale aired on CBS. “A lot of the conflict that we got to see, for me, was very, very surprising because the narrative that we had as we went through the race was very, very different,” he added. Even though he felt the edit took things out of context,...

“The Amazing Race” couple Amber Craven and Vinny Cagungun may not have had the smoothest journey to their fourth place finish Wednesday night, but they capped it off in style with a marriage proposal on the mat in front of host Phil Keoghan.
“I was in shock,” Amber says. “I think I blacked out because I don’t really remember what you said. All I remember was you getting on one knee. I was like, ‘What is going on? Y’all are being so weird right now.’ Then you got down on one knee and I was like, ‘Ahh, it makes sense.'”

Season 36 of “The Amazing Race” came to an unsurprising end on Wednesday night when boyfriends Ricky Rotandi and Cesar Aldrete took home the $1 million grand prize. The dominant 34-year-olds won a total of seven legs throughout the race, never finishing worse than second place until Ricky’s windsurfing nightmare halfway through the season finale.
“It really was surreal,” Ricky says about meeting host Phil Keoghan at the mat for the last time. Cesar adds, “As a superfan, just having the chance to be in the race. Going through the casting process, being told yes and then getting ready. Giving assigned our color, that for me was really special. We get there, we get our handkerchiefs, we get our fanny packs! Juan Villa and Shane Bilek came up one spot short of the $1 million on “The Amazing Race 36,” but they did make history. During the final leg in Philadelphia, the military pilots were supposed go to the epicenter of one of America’s greatest rivalries — the corner between cheesesteak joints Pat’s and Geno’s — but they drove all the way to New Jersey instead. That lengthy detour cost them an hour and they knew they weren’t going to come in first once they realized they were in another state.
“We had our moment to kind of understand the gravity of what just happened: We lost a million bucks,” Shane tells Gold Derby (watch above). “And we took our three to four minutes in the car and then we were like, ‘Ok, that was good. Compartmentalize it. And now move on. We’re going back to Philly. We have stuff to do.

In the "Dive Trip" detour, the teams had to correctly assemble diving equipment to get their next clue. In the "Rum Sip" detour, the teams had to correctly prepare drinks to get their next clue. With just four duos left, Season 36 of The Amazing Race is anyone’s for the taking. But who’s got what it takes to leave the other teams in the dirt and snatch that big prize?
The penultimate leg kicks off with a deep dive at Sosua Beach in the Dominican Republic. The first Detour gives them a choice between assembling diving rigs and crafting some tasty cocktails. All four teams choose the cocktails. (Who can blame them? Though I doubt any sampling is allowed on the race. Their loss is the pirates’ gain!). After Ricky and Cesar whip through their drinks,...

Leave no stone unturned? Melissa Main certainly didn’t on Leg 9 of “The Amazing Race.” She got stuck during the first Roadblock, in which racers had to traverse waterfalls in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and arrange 10 petroglyph symbols in order. She only had one incorrect stone on her first check but didn’t get it correct until her eighth attempt after the four other teams were gone. Melissa and her girlfriend Yvonne Chavez did make up some of their 10-minute deficit but arrived to the Pit Stop last and were eliminated. And it was as close as it appeared on the show — they were just two minutes behind Amber and Vinny, who had gotten very lost, and they maybe would’ve made the final four were it not for a crew issue that didn’t make the episode cut.

Tonight's new episode kicked off with the teams arriving in the Dominican Republic for the very first time in the show's history to kick off this leg of the race. Then, arrange the symbols in chronological order to get their next clue. After the teams successfully wrapped up that Roadblock challenge, they had to hit up Don Manuel’s Finca de Cacao to get their next clue. Exclusive: Phil Keoghan, host of The Amazing Race and Tough As Nails, is plotting another unscripted competition series for CBS.
Deadline understands that Keoghan is working on an elite physical competition series, which is understood to be in the early stages of development at the network.
The series is expected to feature athletes with brains, brawn, endurance, agility and mental toughness, who will compete to prove themselves as the toughest.
The project is certainly on brand for Keoghan, who runs Tough House Productions. It’s not clear yet whether Keoghan will host the series or just produce.
