Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaThe Morse code at the beginning of the episode is "IT BEGINS WITH"
- GoofsWhen Jake tells about seeing the planes, he tells the others that the fighters were MiG-19s, and the others looked like Antonovs. The fighters were definitely not MiG-19s, but Swedish SAAB-37 Viggens. The Chinese never had anything like that. The other aircraft were C-130 Hercules cargo planes which may be confused with a Russian An-26 from a distance, but a military veteran wouldn't make such a mistake because the Hercules has four engines and the An-26 has only two.
- Quotes
Eric Green: Look, a bad marriage doesn't get better because you add a kid.
Johnston Green: No. No, it doesn't, but you are going to have to stop thinking about yourself first. You give up that right when you bring a child into this world.

A new low
AND we're diving head first into... RACISM! Remember how they happily harvested AMERICAN corn with worms in it? But Chinese food? Meh. The "good son" just picks up a well-packed piece of fish with two fingers and throws back into the box like it was something disgusting. "Dried fish stuff" he says as if it was something so revolting that he can't even say it. Mind you, "people need food", his daddy-mayor says. Hell no! TRUE Americans won't eat food that comes from the country that may or may not be the enemy in the war they may or may not have started or ended. Flyers with Asian women, one old, one young, holding an Asian baby, and saying "Don't fight. China is your friend" is simply disgusting.
BS-du-jour: A farmer guy drops his rifle and... runs to confront the bad guys. Gets his fundament handed over to him BIGLY. Would anyone of you do that?
BS-du-jour 2: Grampa Johnston refers to the planes that dropped them supplies as "Vietnam-era planes" as if it's something ancient and obsolete. Two problems with that. One, Vietnam war spanned 20 years: 1955-1975. And two, nearly EVERYTHING USAF fly right NOW, 15 years after this show was made, is from "Vietnam era". F15, F-16, all transport aircraft, tankers, bombers, recon planes, helicopters, first flew BEFORE 1975. Heck, B52 first flew in 1955!!! History grade - Fail.
