Daniel Aráoz's character (Belaúnde) is a railway worker, so many scenes show the Alsina train station. The tracks have concrete sleepers, which weren't installed until the late 2010's. Since the film is set in 2001, the tracks would have had wooden sleepers.
In one scene, the main characters are trying to convince the owner of a grocery store to contribute funds for their effort. Toilet paper rolls can be seen in one shot sitting on a shelf: the current Scott package design can be hinted.
Daniel Aráoz's character (Belaúnde) says in a moment, when they go to see the bulldozer and the dynamite, the phrase "¡Olvidate!" ("forget it!"). This word, widely used in recent years, was not yet used as a catchphrase in 2001, when the events of the film.
