The Double Life of Jules
I've never conceived the though that I will ever see a Billie Eilish song and Van den Budenmayer from The Double Life of Veronique in the same series, let alone in the same episode after I've just listened to them recently. This is an astral coincidence.
This episode is my favorite of the series so far, being as character-driven, soul-crushing and packed with valuable life lessons as Rue's special episode, but with more dynamism, the typical ''Euphoria expressionism'' expressed through color and even suspense... all while exploring the other side of Jule's past and personality. Listening to Jules finally describing her perspective of the story felt so genuinely human and so satisfying story-wise. I am surprised that I didn't cry though I almost did towards the end of the episode.
Magnifique.
An 11 out of 10 from me.
