- Mick takes the Waverider and Kayla to try and find Sara, but these enemies find themselves needing each other to survive after landing on the possible planet Sara is being held captive. After a report of an Alien attack, the Legends return to their new headquarters, Constantine's manor, where both Spooner and Astra try to connect to the Alien. Zari is suspicious of Constantine's behavior, but isn't surprised when she learns the truth. Meanwhile, Sara devises a plan to escape by using her charm to win over Bishop, but she learns something more disturbing.—The CW
- Sara figures that Bishop is a clone, but insists that he's nothing like the Avas because there's only one of him at a time. Bishops tell her that she's a primitive to him, and insists that he's using his brain for good because he's recreating the human race. One of Bishop's soldiers comes in and holds a gun on Sara as Bishop leaves.
On Waverider, Mick complains that Kayla drank all of the booze. He gives her an oxygen mask as they land, and Kayla says that the planet is terraformed and they're safe as long as they go past the electrostatic barrier. Kayla insists on finding her ship, and Mick says that then they'll find Sara. The two go out and across the planet,
At John's manor, Behrad answers the door when the delivery man arrives with pizza. John continues on and finds Ava installing Gideon on a computer. He goes to get some tea, and sets of the anti-alien system that Spooner has set up. Continuing on, John finds Nate practicing on his guitar and Astra learning magic. Zari approaches and says that they should go some breakfast.
Kayla and Mick find Bishop's planet, and she figures that Sara is already captured. Mick approaches the soldier, and demands to know where Sara is. All of the soldiers are Ava clones, and they grab Mick. Kayla refuses to reveal herself and get involved, and Waverider flies off.
Ava brings Gideon online, and Gideon says that there was a massacre by an alien at Endless Meadows Asylum in 1968, and the patient gave her name as Sara Lance.
When the others arrive, Gideon explains that the patient went berserk during a procedure and committed the massacre. Astra suggests that they bring the alien back to the manor, and Ava figures they shouldn't tell John.
Ava, Nate, and Spooner go to Hunter, NY, where the asylum is, and a nurse greets them. They claim that Sara is there sister and they're there to pick her up, and the nurse says that Sara had to be sedated and is going to have shock treatment later. The nurse says that Sara claimed she flew there in a spaceship, and takes the trio to the study where "Amelia" is there. Amelia asks if they're going somewhere and smiles at them.
Later at the manor, the Legends are eating pizza and watching Amelia on the TV when John and Tari return. Behrad explains that Amelia is a shapeshifting alien using the name Sara, and they're waiting to see if she freaks out. Spooner suggests that they go in and take Amelia. Everyone except Ava agrees.
Sara paces around Bishop's medbay, and blocks the hidden camera watching her. Gary comes up from the toilet, says that he's searched every sewage pipe. Sara tells him to find the fuel ship for Kayla's ship and she'll find her own way out, and Gary goes back down the toilet.
Spooner and Behrad break into the asylum and try to get through to Amelia. Spooner doesn't pick up any alien brainwaves from Amelia, then asks her if she gets the urge to kill people. Behrad asks Amelia why she's using the name Sara, and Amelia doesn't remember Sara's name. She asks for more tea, and Spooner reluctantly goes to get it and drugs it with caffeine pills. Amelia tells Behrad that the last thing she remember was her and her navigator flying around the globe.
Ava, watching over the TV, tells Behrad over the comms to find out where Amelia landed her plane, figuring that it's the pod. Amelia says that she landed the pod near her old house in New York, and Nate and Ava go to check it out.
Kayla finds the fuel cell outside the base, and sees Gary approaching them. Kayla yells a warning to the soldiers on patrol, who tackle Gary as he puts the cell track.
Ava and Nat go to the house in New York, and find a cloaked ship in a field. Ava calls the ship on her comm, trying to raise Sara or Mick.
Sara removes the cloth over the camera and calls to Bishop, asking him to come chat. Bishop comes in and Sara tells him that it's true that he's humanity's best hop, and she wants to be a part of it. She asks if they can put the past behind them, and asks Bishop to forget her snapping his neck. they agree and sing, and Bishop tells her that they'll make a fresh start that night over dinner. Sara asks him to remove her manacles, and he does.
Due to the caffeine pills, Amelia starts coming out of her drugged state. She started to remember what happened to her. Ava storms in and tells Amelia to tell them the truth, and demands to know where Mick and Sara are. "Amelia" reveals her alien tongue, and Behrad blasts her back long enough for Spooner to shoot the alien with her tranq gun,
Later back at the manor, the team watch Amelia on the TV. Amelia has reverted to her human form, and John offers to use a spell to take Amelia's memories. Ava agrees but says that they'll do it on Waverider once Gideon gets them back. John wants to have Astra help, and they go to get her.
Bishop has cannolis that one of the Avas have made, and Ava tells him that the AVA soldiers have captured Mick. Bishop figures they have to take down the barrier for an hour to let the toxic atmosphere in and kill anyone with Mick. Ava points out that the Ava soldiers will die, but Bishop doesn't care and tells the clone Ava to lower the barrier.
Clone Ava does so, and the poison atmosphere pours in. The Ava soldiers realize that it's real, not a drill, tie Mick to a tree, and head to the base for protection. Kayla is dragging her fuel cell to her ship and sees the poison atmosphere.
Aboard Waverider, John and Astra tie Amelia to a gurney and John gives Astra tips on casting the spell. Astra says that she can do it, and Ava and Spooner come in and want John to do it... unaware that he's lost his magic. John insists that Astra do it. Astra casts the spell, and accesses Amelia's real memories of leaving on her last journey. She was abducted and puts on alien table, and examined by Bishop. Bishop altered her, and Amelia escaped and did what she had to do to survive.
Ava wants Astra to find out where Sara is. Astra sees Amelia find Sara, and encounters a firewall in Amelia's memories. "Amelia" transforms into an alien and break free, and John tells Astra to sever the link. The alien breaks free and attacks Spooner, who snarls back at it. While it's distracted, Ava grabs Spooner and they get out of the medbay, closing the door so the alien can't escape.
In the Waverider study, Spooner is drinking and watching video of the alien, and Behrad comes in and asks Spooner if she wants to talk. Spooner says that the alien started out human, and Behrad tells Spooner that she's not like Amelia. Spooner wonders if she starts to fight like the aliens, and Behrad tell her to live in the now rather than the past or future. She thanks him for the advice, and Behrad leaves./ Spooner hears a voice in her head, calling her name.
Mick manages to break free of his ropes, puts on an oxygen mask he brought with him, and continues on.
Gary brings one of the Ava soldiers into the two Avas, and when they prepare to kill Gary, the soldier says that Gary is a hero who rescued her. Gary says that the Ava he knows is a great leader, impressing the soldier and the other two Avas there.
John is tending to the unconscious Astra, and Zari comes in and tells John that he can talk to her. She figures that John doesn't have his powers, and Astra wakes up and tells John to stop lying to Zari. Then she lies to Zari, and says that John let her take the lead. He demonstrates a spell, thanks to Astra's secret help. One Zari leaves, John thanks Astra and says that he can't let anyone know that he's disarmed, and Astra tells him that he owes her.
Mick finds Kayla, gasping for breath. He shares his oxygen mask with her, and she wonders why. Mick says that the fuel cell is heavy.
Assistant Ava tells Bishop that a fuel cell is missing, and Sara joins Bishop for dinner. They share a toast and Bishop figures they're finally on the same page. A storm crackles outside, and Bishop tells her that he the alien atmosphere in to kill Mick. Sara takes offense and knocks Bishop down, and he fights back. She knocks him down and he invites her to kill him. Sara does, and Bishop says that he'll be back... unlike Mick.
As they share the mask, Kayla says that she abandoned Mick to get the fuel cell and steal Waverider. Kayla dismisses human as stupid, and Mick admits that Kayla is right but Sara is different and that's why he has to find her. An alien watches them from the shadow.
On Waverider, Tari finds Spooner in the hallway clutching at her head. Spooner insists that she's fine and walks off, and continues to hear a voice in her head., telling her to come to the speaker.
Sara drags the still-living Bishop down the hallway. He wakes up, explains that he modified his pain receptors, and she uses him to gain access to his secured lab. There's another Bishop clone in a tube.
Mick and Kayla hear the alien Zagurons approaching them. They enter the base with the fuel cell and close the door behind them. One door is open but stuck, and they can't close it. Mick blasts the Zagurons back with his flame gun, and then he and Kayla take shelter in a pod as the aliens break in. Kayla admits that she's scared, and they kiss and Kayla transforms back to her alien form.
Spooner finds the alien that is talking to her: the Amelia shapeshifter. It tells her to drop her weapon and come inside. Spooner does so and the alien confront her. Spooner hisses back at it as it hisses at her. The alien says that it was fused with Amelia, but Amelia made it weak. It runs off into the shadows, but continue telepathically saying that there is a struggle in Spooner that is her fear.
The alien continues, saying that fear is a gift but Sara didn't fear her. It says that humans are weak, and claims to have killed Sara. The alien attacks Spooner and they fight. Ava and Zari arrive and Ava shoots the alien with a gun, stunning it. Spooner tells Ava that the alien said that it killed Sara, and Ava cries.
Sara tells Bishop that every scar on her body is a memory, and that makes her who she is. She figures that Bishop has died before but forgotten his scars. Sara finds her original body, dead from the alien sting, and realizes that she's a clone of the original Sara.
