(at about 15:00 into the film) During the initial police chase, when all the cars burst through the barriers toward the end of the bridge, the Ford Mustang disappears from between the four police cars, then reappears in the next scene.
(at about 1:00:00 and 3:00 into the film) When the end of the first race is over, Lucas' car - the Ford Mustang - crosses the line first and the announcer says "Carl Lucas is the surprise winner, followed by Big Bill." (at about 23:00 into the film) In the Death Match at the beginning of the film, after 14K is hit with a weapon, he goes from having a wound on his back to having no wound on it (and consequently, his shirt goes from intact to torn-up) repeatedly.
(at about 1:00:00 and 5:00 into the film) After Stage 1 of the race is complete, the scene showing the road to the prison shows it on the left side, but the beginning of the film and other scenes show it on the right side.
(at about 54:00 into the film) When Calin says "This is what I'm talking about," Apache is in the background jumping into his car. But in the next scene he is running to the car, still needing to get in.
(at about 1:00:00 into the film) Apache's 1972 Buick Riviera "Boat Tail" data card lists the engine as a 430ci Nailhead. The 1972 Buick Riviera had a 455ci engine.

(at about 44:00 into the film) After the fight between Lucas and Big Bill, at the end of the riot, Lucas points a flame thrower at Big Bill, then "kicks" him in the face to knock him out, which obviously misses Bill by at least 12 inches. Lucas then drops to his knees and puts his hands behind his head in surrender to the guards. As he does this, directly behind him are two prisoners fighting; one of them reacts to punches that are far wide of the mark as well.

(at about 13:00 into the film) After the initial chase in the yellow Ford Mustang that ends with the hand grenades, in the scene with the police cars on their roofs as Luke says "Get out" to the robbers, the film crew on the left can be seen, some of them with fire extinguishers running for the flames after the stunt. Also, the boom camera is visible.
(at about 9:00 into the film) During the bank robbery, just after Luke beats the two officers with the baton, a cameraman can be seen standing on the right side of the balcony behind Luke. The cameraman disappears in the shot showing the balcony (immediately after Luke picks up one of the officer's guns) and reappears in the next shot showing the balcony.

The Death Races take place on an isolated prison island surrounded by water, yet many scenes show areas with trees and houses in the background.
During the police chase at the beginning of the film, several of the police cars are Ford Fairmonts and Ford Falcons. These models are not available in the United States.
(at about 56:00 into the film) The race begins with 18 men being told it is first come first serve for nine cars, yet there are already scenes of the drivers with the specific car they were lucky to get.
