Chennai, Nov 30: Sonia Agarwal was on top when she quit acting to settle down with director Selvaraghavan, but she has decided to return to the big screen with an aptly titled 'Oru Nadigaiyin Vaakamoolam' after her divorce and she is very happy about it.
'I couldn't have asked for a better comeback film as I play a star in this movie,' said Sonia.
Directed by debutant Raj Krishna, 'Oru Nadigaiyin Vaakamoolam' (Confessions of an Actress) is said to be based on the lives of many actresses and not any one character in particular. The climax is said to be a moving one.
'Yogi' fame Devaraj plays Sonia's father in the film.

Director Ameer and producer Rama Narayanan share a perfect commonality. What’s it? They have been the most happening personalities constantly attending every film function with their encouraging gestures. But recently, Ameer has stopped attending functions after his unexpected critics of his onscreen debut ‘Yogi’.
Yesterday morning, he was present for the audio launch of ‘Maathiyosi’ – a film directed by Nirmala Periyasamy. Addressing the crowd on this occasion, he said, “I’ve been getting so many invitations to attend the big projects’ events, which I don’t. But I love to share stage and sit next to losers as they’ll surely bring back the bacon home at any cost or situation. Be it Samuthirakkani, Sasikumar or Subramaniam Siva, I’ve been extending my support to them and they’ve made it bigger today…”
So, nice of your humanity Ameer!!! Keep it going…...

The Norway Tamil Film Festival, running from Feb 6th to 9th has proved to be a great hit. Promoted by the local Tamil community in Oslo, which numbers over 10,000, the festival was inaugurated by Kollywood directors Sasi Kumar, Mysskin, Sp Jananathan, and Samudrakani.
Amongst the films shown at the festival were Poo, Anjathey, Pokkisham Subramaniapuram, Pasanga, Nadodigal Mayandi Kudumbathar, Peraanmai, E, Yogi and Nandhalala. The most sentimental of these films is Poo in which the wonderfully evocative Parvathi Menon is eternally in love with her cousin Srikanth. She loves him so much that she is even happy for him when he marries a rich woman and becomes an engineer whilst she remains a poor village girl. Only later, when she realises he is heartbroken an unhappy does she break down and express her love for him.
Perhaps the most well-known of the films at the festival, however, was festival favourite Subramaniapuram starring Jai and Swathi.
