Outstanding Episode
DutchJelly22 November 2021
In this episode everything that we've seen in previous episodes comes together. It's also simply hilarious and just educational. As a bonus I think that the characters are developing exceptionally well in especially this episode.

I rate this 10/10!

Great episode

Really deep character development, all previous storylines have been explained, great ending and you finally will understand all previous jokes about red button in Waverider's toilet.

Yeah, some decorations could be more authentic, but still they are good enough.

Still can't believe that this is final season of Legends, because it's far better and really different from previous, but they are still Legends.

Warning: Spoilers
Vancouver, Ava Corporation, 2214. Bishop presents Ava his Waverider which is his secret project worth billions of dollars, giving her a tour. So yes, there are two Gideon's. Bishop takes the oath of the Time Master making him the Time Master of the Waverider. You can say, Dream Weaver, lol. The team suspects that they are in the pre-historic era judging by the grass. Astra and Ava go on a hike to calm her argument with Sara. Spooner goes with Sara to go stab something. Gary and Gideon find food. Bishop is told by Gideon that their last presence was detected in Texas, 1925. Here we see the same footage of the cliffhanger at the end of Season 6.

Afterward, Bishop performs a victory dance which I admit had me cracking up. So, it all makes sense now... God, Davies throwing rocks at the river is such a mood, I can relate. Bishop creates a Hoover-robot clone to hunt down the Legends. To quote Maul: "Oh, brilliant. Brilliant." 12 hours later, Bishop is informed that Hoover Bot 2.0's programming is hacked and that "Thomas Edison" had a heart attack causing him to die. Nate has been lately making a camp talking to himself, lol. Gideon misguides Ava to the Cargo Bay resulting in her being sucked into the Temporal Zone. Wow, such a HAL moment lol.

WAIT WHAT. GIDEON. WHAT? Asking Gary to have intercourse- what the fuuuuuu- We learn more about Davies that he was a soldier during WWI which is a very touching story where he explains:

"It was 1916, a few years into the war. I was in the army, infantry unit. All Welsh division over in France. We were trying to make Mametz Wood from the Germans. During the fighting, me and another soldier, we were tasked with delivering a message to the general. You see, we desperately needed reinforcements, but... We made it about halfway, and, uh... The other that I was with was gunned down. I just froze. I was like a statue. Damn legs wouldn't move. I just stood there. Just looking at him on the ground. By the time I delivered the message, it was too late. There wasn't even a unit to go back to. I thought that God had spared me so that I could go back in time and save them, but I... I keep failing at that task. God must be punishing me for my sins."

I've never seen Zari comforting someone. Oh man, they are captured by the Soviets. So, this must be the 80s. This definitely triggers Davies' extreme PTSD of the War. Wait a min- two bishops? So yes, Gideon made a copy of him. Most of the team are reunited after they have been doing some hard work. NO NO NO, GARY HAS HERPES? AND NOW, THEY'RE A COUPLE? Behrad sneaks into the Soviet base, rescuing the two, informs Davies that he has the materials to fix his time machine, but the bad news is that they are in Chernobyl.

The three have a plan of saving lives since Davies doesn't want to experience the same trauma. Davies uses the intercoms to the people to evacuate due to a nuclear situation. God, I Stan Davies freaking out over technology that he hasn't seen in his time. The three arrive informing that they're in 1986, and near Chernobyl. Bishop gets a disturbance, his Waverider arrives. Behrad, Zari, and Davies repair the time machine. The rest of the team gets in the time machine as well. Bishop doesn't have the guts over killing the Legends, he runs away to Section 82 using an escape pod. The time machine transport to another place taking Bishop along with them.

Thoughts?

So far, Gideon's character is strongly building like she isn't awkward anymore, but there are still some flaws to her. Tons of deep character development, a more interesting backstory for the Younger Bishop rather than Evil Bishop, the pacing was not bad, the plotline was pretty interesting, a shocking twist, nice to see Spooner finally hanging out with Sara as hunting buddies.

Evil Gideon's motive isn't actually bad, but it does make sense like technically when the Legends move to a time period, they mess things up. I, at first was not a fan of Gary & Gideon being together, but as I read reviews. It does make sense as they both have child-like personalities, so I dig it.

10/10!
