The motorcade did not have an escort of soldiers on foot. After the bombing, the mayor had wanted to implement such a guard but Franz Ferdinand did not want to wait for them to arrive.
The episode takes place in the autumn, with fallen leaves clearly visible on the ground. But Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in June, in the summer.
The Archduke's car had a bodyguard riding on the left hand running board.
There were two cars ahead of the Archduke's in the motorcade, not one.
Princip is depicted as shooting the Archduke and his wife from near his table. In reality he stepped right up beside the car and shot the Archduke and his wife from point blank range.
Sarah thwarts the bomb throwing assassin and then must make her way to Gavrilo Princip. In reality, history would already have been changed by stopping the bomb. Princip was only able to assassinate Franz Ferdinand because the Archduke had insisted on visiting the hospital to check on the victims of the bomb. The driver, unaware of the itinerary change, made a wrong turn and when he stopped to reverse course, Princip saw the opportunity to strike.
