The holiday season is upon us, and Moonbug is making a big investment in retail. The Candle Media-owned company has partnered with toymaker Spin Master for a wide-ranging agreement that includes content initiatives, a paid media campaign, and toylines inspired by channels like Blippi and Little Angel.
The deal makes Spin Master the global toy licensee of the Blippi and Little Angel brands. Those two channels have each accrued billions of YouTube views by distributing family-friendly content like nursery rhymes and educational videos. The biggest Moonbug-owned property, CoComelon, has already expanded into the world of retail through a pact with Squishmallow maker Jazwares.
Moonbug will now get advice from Spin Master as it plots its advance into big-box stores. The partnership will also extend to YouTube, where Spin Master operates several of its own channels under its Spin Master Entertainment banner.

Moonbug Entertainment has issued the global master toy licenses for two of its titles, “Blippi” and “Little Angel,” to Spin Master Entertainment, the company that produces the “Paw Patrol” franchise and its corresponding merchandise. Toys and games for both properties are expected to hit shelves in 2025.
Additionally, Moonbug will create short-form animated content on YouTube for some of Spin Master’s own titles, beginning with “Vida the Vet,” the preschool series that launched in October. Spin Master has also secured paid media for some of its brands across some of Moonbug’s channels on YouTube and CTV.
“We are thrilled to partner with Spin Master, a company that shares Moonbug’s values, especially the importance of giving children around the world the opportunity to laugh, learn and grow,” said Ryan Gorman, Moonbug’s vice president of consumer products franchise, toys and retail development. “Together, we will help kids interact with...

Warner Bros. Discovery will rebrand its kids’ TV channel Boomerang to Cartoonito in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong, with effect from July 28.
The company said that the “switch is a result of positive feedback to the Cartoonito-branded block on Boomerang and Cartoon Network launched in 2022, and is focused on being more inclusive to pre-school aged viewers.”
Sources close to the company explained that the move is “part of a big regional and global commitment by Wbd to preschool content.” It follows Cartoonito rebrands and launches in other international territories including Emea and LatAm.
As a full regional channel offering, Cartoonito will introduce a new generation to a diverse slate of original series and franchises. Modern preschool adaptations that support children’s potential include fan-favourite franchises such as “Batwheels” and “Bugs Bunny Builders.”
