"We're all going to get eaten alive!" Yes, yes they probably will. Saban Films has revealed the trailer for an action horror movie called The Flood, another of these junky direct-to-video B-movie horror flicks that seem to be popping up all the time now. It's from the same bad filmmaker who also made Battle For Saipan, also with Casper Van Dien, who is back again for this one. A horde of giant hungry alligators is unleashed on a group of in-transit prisoners and their guards after a massive hurricane floods Louisiana. Yes, this is the alligators-in-a-prison movie, if anyone wants to watch. Starring Casper Van Dien, Nicky Whelan, Louis Mandylor, Devanny Pinn, Ryan Francis, Randy Wayne, and Kim DeLonghi. This does not seem worth anyone's time or money - steer clear of this one, folks. There are plenty of other better giant alligator / croc movies to watch instead: Sewer Gators,...

Fresh off the first-ever Netflix is a Joke comedy festival, the streamer confirmed which performances will be available to view in the coming weeks, including tributes to late comedians such as Bob Saget and Robin Williams and the yet-to-be-announced date for Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias’s groundbreaking set at Dodger Stadium.
Featuring a wide range of events and stars, the festival also made headlines for some of its comedians’ jokes, such as Pete Davidson’s digs at Kanye West. But the biggest news of the fest was when Dave Chappelle was tackled on stage during his set at the Hollywood Bowl, with the attacker being charged with four misdemeanor counts. Well, this is interesting.
CBS Studios has news today for Paramount+ subscribers in the US and in Australia.
A new NCIS will be produced for Paramount+ Australia and Network 10, and a new Seal Team movie will be produced for the streaming service in the U.S., it was announced today by George Cheeks, president and CEO of CBS and chief content officer for news and sports at Paramount+.
There's no word as to whether American audiences will get the opportunity to watch the Australian programming, but it would sure be a shame if this international goodness wasn't available here.
For the first time, CBS Studios will expand one of its biggest and most successful global franchises into a new international edition, NCIS: Sydney.
The series, which is slated for 2023, will feature local stories with Aussie actors and producers and be filmed in one of the world’s most scenic harbor cities.

Paramount+ is getting its own version of “American Vandal” from the “American Vandal” creators.
The ViacomCBS streaming service has ordered “Players” from Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault, the duo behind the Netflix docuseries-style scripted comedy. “Players” follows a fictional pro League of Legends esports team, as they pursue their first championship after years of close calls and heartache. To win it all, they will need their prodigy, a 17-year-old rookie, and their 27-year-old veteran to put their egos aside and work together.
“American Vandal” ran for two seasons on Netflix.
The first season, which aired in September 2017, focused on an investigation into who drew penises on 27 cars in the parking lot at a Southern California high school. Jimmy Tatro (“Home Economics”) played Dylan Maxwell, who was accused of spray painting the genitalia at the beginning of the series. The second season relocated to an elite private high school in Washington,...

Desmin Borges and Natasha Lopez (Runner Runner) have been cast in supporting roles opposite Rose Leslie and Theo James in The Time Traveler’s Wife, HBO’s drama series based on the novel by Audrey Niffenegger.
Adapted by former Dr. Who head writer and Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat, The Time Traveler’s Wife tells the intricate love story of Clare (Leslie) and Henry (James), and a marriage with a problem… time travel.
Borges will play Gomez, who is one of Clare’s best friends – and secretly in love with her. Gomez being Gomez, it’s a secret he’s managed to keep from absolutely no one. Truculent, clever, with an often blundering sense of humor, he is also fiercely honorable. Over the years, despite everything, he becomes Henry’s best friend, and his savior many times.

In a plotline nobody saw coming (let alone a movie being made about it) a young Bernie Sanders swears a blood oath to Joseph Stalin in the trailer for the upcoming satirical comedy, “Free Lunch Express.”
The movie is clearly not trying to portray Sanders in a positive light. For example, at one point, a young Sanders can be seen in front of a propaganda poster of Stalin, saying, “I totally pledge with this blood oath to dedicate my life to never picking up a dinner check, never donating to charity, and like in the glorious Soviet Union, making sure the government pays for everything.”
Malcolm McDowell serves as the film’s narrator. “Aw, Bernie, bless his cotton socks,” McDowell caps off the trailer by saying.

Bobby Deol completes 25 years in Bollywood and his elder brother, action star Sunny Deol, fondly recalls seeing him grow up in the film industry over the years.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way and In Good Company Films are developing the utopian series “Island,” based on Aldous Huxley’s novel “Island.”
Huxley’s final book, published in 1962, follows a cynical journalist shipwrecked on the fictional utopian island of Pala in the Indian Ocean. Originally tasked with exploiting Pala’s natural resources, he uncovers an independently developed society and embraces the people, their culture and traditions — including psychedelic adventures and alternative social structures. His experience alters the course of his mission.
Huxlery wrote “Island” as the utopian counterpoint to his most famous work, the 1932 dystopian novel, “Brave New World.” “Island” explores the themes of freedom and the power of human potential. Huxley died of cancer in 1963.
Davisson and DiCaprio will executive produce for Appian Way along with George DiCaprio and Roee Sharon. Andrew Alter and Jason Whitmore will executive produce for Igc Films.

But the Bond film “Specter” is also about gambling. The casino scene with the Bond actor is always a must. What fits better than a game of roulette, a graceful young beauty,...

Justin Timberlake has a new press representative. The singer has signed with Sunshine Sachs, the firm that represents Janet Jackson, Variety has learned. He will be handled by Shawn Sachs, Paula Witt and Maggie Faircloth. Witt’s clients include Jackson and Aerosmith while Faircloth reps Solange.
The company’s founder Ken Sunshine first advised Timberlake back in 2004 following the infamous Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl that year. Sunshine Sachs declined comment.
Timberlake’s press had previously been handled by M2M Construction. The parting was mutual. He had worked with the same public relations strategist for more than 20 years, starting with his days in *Nsync.
Timberlake recently wrapped the North American leg of his “Man of the Woods” tour where he sold out all 2018 arena dates. He’s currently playing in Europe and heads back to the U.S. on Sept. 19.

Director: Brad Furman. Writers: Brian Koppelman and David Levien. Cast: Ben Affleck, Justin Timberlake, Gemma Arterton. Run, Forrest, run? Who is running in Runner Runner and why does it happening? The title of this movie gives us no clue about what will happen next. All what inexperienced viewer can see is a glam squad of creators - Ben Affleck, an actor best known for Argo, Justin Timberlake, a dream boyfriend of teenage girls from the middle 00s, and irresistible Leonardo DiCaprio, still without an Oscar in 2013. Fortunately, he finally has got one since 2016. So what is behind this intriguing name? In fact, Runner Runner has no relation to sports, jogging, or even police chases. “Runner runner” is a common slang term in poker which refers to the player who gets two running cards and makes his hand (a winning combination in poker). Seems to be surprising? It’s not a...
