Special Mention goes to 'Sorry to Bother You' by writer/director Boots Riley based on his original screenplay and starring Lakeith Stanfield and Tessa Thompson. This highly original high-concept comedy takes place in an alternate present day reality and explores race relations, identity politics, corporate malevolence in the United States. The film is both a scathing social commentary on America's racism, injustice, and corporate greed while being laugh-out-loud hilarious. This is truly a film we felt needed special recognition.
