Exclusive: Pop and screen star Demi Lovato is joining Rose Byrne and The Holdovers breakout Dominic Sessa in Stephanie Laing’s feature Tow.

Ogle also serves as an executive producer on the film.

Apple TV+ has been ramping up its content slate with some of the most talked about original series.
The streaming service's latest surefire hit is Life By Ella, premiering globally Friday, September 2.
The series follows Ella as she returns to school with a brand new perspective, excitement for what the future holds, and a major "seize the day" mentality following her stint with cancer.
With her best friend by her side, she is ready to tackle everything she was too afraid of before, and determined not to let the minutiae of fake friends and social media status distract her.
The official trailer certainly highlights Ella's plight to "seize the day," even if those around her are not ready for her to return to doing what she loves best.
Her cancer diagnosis undoubtedly is a cause for concern from her parents, with her father wondering whether returning to school so soon...

O’Connor’s role has not been announced. They will appear in the comic-book adventure alongside Dakota Johnson, who is playing the title character, as well as Sydney Sweeney of “Euphoria” fame.
The movie will serve as an origin story for Madame Web, a clairvoyant whose psychic abilities allow her to see within the spider world itself. “Family Squares” is, at its core, a sensitive and warm motion picture about grieving the loss of a loved one from afar. In the midst of a deadly global pandemic. When no one in the family is allowed to be in the same room as each other.
It’s a situation that, tragically, too many people know all too well, and it’s a smart idea to try to turn that experience into an emotional family drama.
That said, “Family Squares” is also a film about very large Zoom calls with people who don’t all understand how the technology works, and if you spent a lot of time on Zoom in the middle of the crisis — and a whole heck of a lot of us have — you’ll know that it doesn’t always turn out to be a good idea.

Newcomers Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim have signed on to join the ensemble cast of “Ghostbusters 2020,” sources tell Variety.
The pair joins Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard, and “Gifted” star Mckenna Grace.
Jason Reitman, whose father Ivan Reitman directed the original “Ghostbusters,” will helm “Ghostbusters 2020.” Reitman also co-wrote the screenplay with Gil Kenan and plans to begin shooting this summer.
Sony declined to comment on plot details, but insiders tell Variety the story will be an extension of the original “Ghostbusters” and focus on Coon, a single mother, and her family, including Wolfhard as her son. It’s unknown exactly how it connects to the original Ghostbusters series. Details of O’Connor and Kim’s roles are also unknown.
“Celeste and Logan are rare talents and we’re all grateful that they’ll be lending their unique voices to ‘GB20,'” Reitman said in a statement.

Michael B Jordan
The actor is in serious awards contention for his role in “Black Panther,” but also most recently starred in “Creed II,” “Fahrenheit 451” and “Kin.”
Josh Brolin
We all know Josh Brolin played the villain in both “Deadpool 2” And “Avengers: Infinity War” (which is a feat in itself), but he also starred in “Sicario 2: Day of the Soldado” and “The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter.”
Tessa Thompson
Thompson seems to have been in every movie this year, and that’s for good reason: She starred in “Annihilation” alongside Natalie Portman, as well as “Sorry to Bother You,” “Little Woods,” “Furlough” and “Creed II.”
Patrick Wilson
Wilson is now just making the rounds as King Orm in James Wan’s “Aquaman,” but the actor also starred in “Insidious: The Last Key,” “”The Commuter,” “The Nun,” “Nightmare Cinema” and he is currently filming the Untitled “Annabelle” film.

Banshee followed an ex-con who assumed the identity of a slain sheriff in Banshee, a small Pennsylvania town in Amish country. Gotham alum Zabryna Guevara and Dorian Missick (Animal Kingdom) are set for key roles in CBS All Access’ straight-to-series psychological thriller Tell Me a Story, from Kevin Williamson and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment.
Written by Williamson, Tell Me a Story, which co-stars Billy Magnussen and Kim Catrall, is based on a Spanish format. It takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Set in modern day New York City, the first season of this serialized drama interweaves “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” and “Hansel and Gretel” into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder.
Guevara will play Detective Renee Garcia, a measured detective who operates by the book. While tough and unrelenting, she is not without empathy. She’s the type of detective who trusts her instincts but knows hard evidence...

The next installment in BBC One’s collection of Agatha Christie stories will be The ABC Murders. Sarah Phelps is adapting the classic 1936 title with John Malkovich as Hercule Poirot and Rupert Grint as Inspector Crome. Filming is due to begin in June on the three-part drama that marks the return of Poirot to television and continues BBC One and Agatha Christie Limited’s production deal that will see the latter and Mammoth Screen deliver six more Christie adaptations. Amazon has U.S. rights.
Set in the 1930s, a time when Britain is dangerously divided and suspicion and hatred are on the rise, the story sees Poirot face a serial killer known only as A.B.C. As the body count rises, the only clue is a copy of The ABC Railway Guide at each crime scene. Poirot’s investigations are continuously thwarted by an enemy determined to outsmart him. Last week, Brian Tyree Henry was having the sort of moment his Atlanta character – the reluctant, verge-of-success rapper Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles – might observe with both envy and fear. That night’s episode of the FX hit, titled “Woods,” would lean almost entirely on Henry’s performance, a Season 2 showcase both the actor and his character.
At the same time, a trailer had just been released for the upcoming Hotel Artemis starring Jodie Foster and Sterling K. Brown, and one of eight films featuring Henry set for this year or next: the already released Irreplaceable You, White Boy Rick, Widows, Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse, Family, If Beale Street Could Talk and Only You.
And there’s Lobby Hero, the Broadway production of Kenneth Lonergan play that’s won over critics and prompted plenty of Tony talk, not to mention attracting ticket-buyers, some no doubt drawn to the movie star...

For fans of the J.J. Abrams-created Cloverfield universe — which currently includes a trio of films, with at least one more on the way — the element of surprise has become a major part of the sci-fi series’ appeal. The last two films in the expanding cinematic series, “10 Cloverfield Lane” and the recent Netflix feature “The Cloverfield Paradox,” both arrived as unexpected additions to the canon, with “Paradox” using Super Bowl Sunday trailers to not only announce that the film was now a Netflix property but that the film was going to be available to stream that very night.
But it’s not just fans who have been shocked by the films and their addition to the world of Cloverfield, as even stars like “Paradox” lead Gugu Mbatha-Raw weren’t let in on the secret until the very last moment. As Mbatha-Raw recently told IndieWire, she didn’t even...

It’s been an incredible month for Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Within the span of five weeks she’ll have starred in three films that will have been released for public consumption (and we’re not even counting “Fast Color” which debuts at SXSW on March 10). A week from Friday she’ll appear in Ava DuVernay’s highly anticipated “A Wrinkle in Time.” Right after Valentine’s Day she starred in the Netflix romantic drama “Irreplaceable You.” Oh, and with little warning Julius Onah‘ “The Cloverfield Paradox” a J.J.

Movies should be seen on the big screen. Comedies are buoyed by the laughter that surrounds you, horror films benefit from shared gasps in the darkness and well-shot action and sci-fi blooms into the larger scale. The one exception may be all-out weepies like “Irreplaceable You,” which are best seen in the privacy of one’s own home with an unlimited supply of tissues. This Netflix original is the perfect film to debut on streaming, where’s there no self consciousness about how loud you’re sniffling or how swollen your face is.

Netflix has released a trailer for their upcoming film Irreplaceable You, which looks like a charming romance film that will be a major tear-jerker. The movie has a solid cast that includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who recently starred in The Cloverfield Paradox. It also stars Christopher Walken, Kate McKinnon, Steve Coogan, and Michiel Huisman. Here's the synopsis:
Irreplaceable You is the heartwarming, romantic story of Abbie (Mbatha-Raw) and Sam (Huisman), best friends since childhood who are engaged to be married, and whose tranquil New York lives come crashing down when Abbie receives an unexpected diagnosis. Faced with the prospect of an uncertain timeline, Abbie begins a touching and often humorous search for a new love to take care of Sam. Along the way, Abbie makes unlikely friendships with Myron (Walken), Kate (McKinnon) and Mitch (Coogan) whose one thing in common is that they focus on living, while they are dying. Ultimately,...

Be prepared to cry. Netflix has debuted an official trailer for a romance film titled Irreplaceable You, the feature directorial debut of TV director Stephanie Laing. The very talented Gugu Mbatha-Raw stars along with Michiel Huisman as two lovers who have been together since childhood, knowing they'll spend their lives together. The plot is actually a very heavy tear-jerker, about Mbatha-Raw being diagnosed with cancer, and she tries to help him find another woman before she dies, hence the title about "irreplaceable you." The full cast includes Kate McKinnon, Claire Holt, Jacki Weaver, Christopher Walken, Steve Coogan, Gayle Rankin, and Jessie Ennis. There's some humor in this to help shake up the heavy emotions, but it still looks like a very sweet, very lovely film about life and love and how to make the most of it. Watch below. The upcoming Netflix film “Irreplaceable You” boasts a female director, screenwriter, cinematographer, and star, a combination that worked well for the streaming service’s three-time Oscar nominee, “Mudbound.” Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“Beauty and the Beast”) plays Abbie, a woman thrilled to finally be marrying her elementary school sweetheart, Sam (Michiel Huisman from “Game of Thrones”), with whom she is expecting a child. At a doctor’s appointment, the couple is devastated to learn that Abbie actually isn’t pregnant: she’s given a terminal cancer diagnosis instead.

Ensuring that no tender moment is forced to exist without some bizarro cadences or weird personal choices flittering around the outside, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Steve Coogan and Christopher Walken have both signed on for the cast of Irreplaceable You, a new romantic drama from Veep director Stephanie Laing.
Starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Michiel Huisman (a.k.a. Daario from Game Of Thrones), the film follows two childhood sweethearts suddenly separated by an unexpected death. Bess Wohl wrote the script.
Walken’s most recent roles include a turn in last year’s Eddie The Eagle; Coogan is currently busy with The Dinner and Ideal Home with Paul Rudd, and continues to make noises about a new Alan Partridge series some time soon.

Steve Coogan and Christopher Walken have both signed onto the upcoming romantic drama Irreplaceable You. Currently filming in New York, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Michiel Huisman are starring in the film, which is being directed by Veep director and executive producer Stephanie Laing.
