Quotes
-
Jefferson Jackson : Okay, I got somebody checking out magazines and one shopkeeper.
Mick Rory : I could knock this place off with a water pistol.
Ray Palmer : Okay, new mission: keep me away from Mick. I don't want today to be the day I descend into a life of crime.
Mick Rory : Well, Haircut... looks like it's too late.
Ray Palmer : Wait, what does that mean?
Jefferson Jackson : You're by the candy bars.
Ray Palmer : Well, get me away from there. That stuff's poison.
Jefferson Jackson : Yeah, that's not all.
Ray Palmer : Wait, what does that mean?
Jefferson Jackson : You're shoplifting.
Ray Palmer : Wait. What?
Mick Rory : Damn, Haircut. You had balls.
-
Zari Tomaz : So... aliens are real.
Jefferson Jackson : Yep, and those ones are called Dominators.
Nate Heywood : They're nasty, too. Capable of telepathy, advanced technology, and the fun one, tearing people limb from limb.
Zari Tomaz : Great.
Sara Lance : The last time we faced them, they almost wiped out metahumans, and made us fight each other.
Mick Rory : And worse, fight together.
-
Ray Palmer : Let's just skip to step two: trust falls. Now, to demonstrate, Mick, who hated me when we first met, will fall trustingly into my arms.
Mick Rory : Right. You promised me good coin for doing this.
Ray Palmer : When you said you weren't gonna say that out loud.
Mick Rory : Yeah.
Ray Palmer : Well, just lean back and let go, 'cause I'm not going anywhere, buddy.
[as Mick falls, Ray literally disappears]
Jefferson Jackson : What the hell?
Sara Lance : Gideon, what happened to Ray?
Gideon : According to public record, Mr. Palmer died in 1988.
Nate Heywood : Wait, Ray's dead?
Mick Rory : [holding his head] He better be.
-
Ray Palmer : I'm in the paper. And... I'm dead?
Sara Lance : Not yet. We're in 1988, the day before you disappeared.
Ray Palmer : Okay. Well, I guess the fact I'm still here means temporal permanence hasn't set in. Which means we can still save my life, and enjoy 1988 while we're at it.
Jefferson Jackson : Trust Ray to find the bright side of dying.
-
Dr. Martin Stein : I took the jumpship back to 2017 so I could give Lily the other communicator.
Jefferson Jackson : And you wiped the jump logs why?
Dr. Martin Stein : Because I wanted you to know that I was committed to you and to the team. I made the decision to stay, and I needed you to know that I meant it. Clearly, my subterfuge has... robbed me of the chance to be at the birth of my grandchild.
Mick Rory : No. We can take the Waverider.
Dr. Martin Stein : What... what about the rest of the team?
Jefferson Jackson : I'm sure they'll manage.
Dr. Martin Stein : You're serious?
Jefferson Jackson : Gray, it's your first grandkid. Why would you think I'd want you to miss that? Come on, man, let's go.
-
Mick Rory : What's going on?
Jefferson Jackson : Gray's keeping some sort of secret.
Mick Rory : You want to know what's going on?
Jefferson Jackson : Well, do you know what's going on with him?
Mick Rory : I have my suspicions, yeah, and, uh... I have my ways of extracting information.
-
[last lines]
Ray Palmer : Hey. Movie night. You want to join us?
Jefferson Jackson : Man, I got some work to do, and... Actually, I want to ask you something.
Ray Palmer : Yeah, shoot.
Jefferson Jackson : It's just... seeing Stein with his grandkid earlier, I... I mean, we're his family, but this isn't his home. Not anymore.
Ray Palmer : Yeah. But... you two are inseparable. Like, literally.
Jefferson Jackson : That's what I need your help with. I want to break up Firestorm.
-
Ray Palmer : Guys, here I come. I mean, little me; he's coming at you. Catch up with me on Main Street, and, um... keep me alive.
Jefferson Jackson : I got eyes on Ray to make a move.
Dr. Martin Stein : Well, it looks like you're taking a detour. Did you frequent the Ivy Town Newsstand as a boy?
Ray Palmer : Yeah, I must be picking up the new issue of "Scientific American".
Dr. Martin Stein : I was more of a "National Geographic" boy myself.
Mick Rory : Once a geek, always a geek.
-
Zari Tomaz : How can you not remember befriending an alien?
Ray Palmer : Because I didn't. It never happened to me.
Nate Heywood : The Dominator is an anachronism. It's time-displaced.
Zari Tomaz : Right.
Sara Lance : So we have to get the baby Dominator out of Ray's bedroom and back to where it belongs.
Jefferson Jackson : And how are we supposed to do that?
Ray Palmer : Uh, well, it should be easy. All we have to do is sneak into my house tomorrow when my mom's at work and I'm at school and kindap the Dominator. I even know where the spare key is.
Jefferson Jackson : Like stealing candy from a baby.
Mick Rory : But not as fun.
-
Jefferson Jackson : Yo. Where were you, man? You missed the team meeting.
Dr. Martin Stein : Oh, you finished already? I was just on my way, but I can ask Gideon to debrief me.
Jefferson Jackson : Uh, psychic connection, so I know you're hiding something.
-
Jefferson Jackson : What's going? This about Gray?
Mick Rory : You said the professor's been acting all squirrelly about where he's been.
Jefferson Jackson : Squirrelly?
Mick Rory : Yeah. When you're on the run, someone usually cracks. Burns the crew to save themselves.
Jefferson Jackson : Burns the crew how?
Mick Rory : Cutting a deal with the Time Bureau.
Jefferson Jackson : You think Gray is ratting us out to the Time Bureau?
Mick Rory : The old man wants off the boat, thinks we're in too deep.
Jefferson Jackson : Yeah, but he wouldn't do that.
Mick Rory : Really? Then... who's been boosting the jumpship while we sleep? Gideon.
Gideon : I believe Mr. Rory is alluding to the fact that someone has erased the jumpship's travel log.
Mick Rory : Someone's been sneaking off the ship and snitching to the Time Bureau. And if there's one thing I hate more than pigs... it's a rat.
