- Henry Heywood: Let's make like a tree and leave.
- Nate Heywood: Mm, not sure that's how it goes, but...
- Sara Lance: Oh, well, look who finally pried themselves away from their important business.
- Zari Tomaz: Look, hobbies are very important. Right, Rory?
- Mick Rory: I take my porn very seriously.
- Henry Heywood: What are you doing for the holiday, Director Sharpe?
- Ava Sharpe: Me? Oh, well I was planning on spending it with my girlfriend, but she's working overtime. So I'll probably just be sticking around here, I guess.
- Henry Heywood: [gets in elevator] You should join us. It'll be fun, right, Nathaniel?
- Nate Heywood: Absolutely. Absol...
- Ava Sharpe: Bye, sir.
- Nate Heywood: Yeah, that is if you don't mind starving all day while your family slowly gets loaded and starts fighting and then your day gets called for a "work emergency."
- Ava Sharpe: Well, at least your family are real people. Mine are actors.
- Ishiro Honda: Why couldn't I just tell sober, grounded stories instead of indulging in these silly monsters?
- Mick Rory: Sober and grounded's boring. You had a story to tell and you told it. You brought that monster to life. And don't pretend for a second you're not a little bit proud.
- Ishiro Honda: I was so afraid of what people would think of my creation. And now that it's here in the flesh...
- Mick Rory: Story complete.
- Ishiro Honda: And I... no longer have to fear... what was locked inside my head.
- Mick Rory: No. No, you don't.
- Sara Lance: There's got to be another way to fix him. Something Gideon missed.
- Ray Palmer: John used magic to save those kids at camp. Magic's the only thing that can fix him.
- Sara Lance: And you really think Nora Darhk is the answer.
- Ray Palmer: She's the only witch I know.
- Sara Lance: Can we even find her?
- Ray Palmer: That is the problem. She has a time stone. She could literally be anywhere or any-when. The Bureau can't even seem to find her.
- Sara Lance: You know, when I was a kid, there was this one escaped con that my dad was after. And everyone assumed that he had fled the country. You know where he found him?
- [Ray shakes his head]
- Sara Lance: Not a block from the police precinct.
- Ray Palmer: Do you really think she's hiding in the Bureau's back yard?
- Sara Lance: Gideon, do a Nora Darhk facial recognition scan of 2018.
- Gideon: [running said search] I have located a potential match.
- Ray Palmer: [recognizing Nora] That's her.
- Sara Lance: Right in the Bureau's back yard.
- Ray Palmer: Great work, Detective Lance.
- Zari Tomaz: Hey.
- Mick Rory: Closed door means stay out.
- Zari Tomaz: Sorry, Sara called a team meeting.
- [realizing he's at his typewriter]
- Zari Tomaz: Were you...
- Mick Rory: Yes. I was watching porn.
- Zari Tomaz: On a typewriter? Hey, no judgment here.
- Ishiro Honda: Your creation was... magnificent.
- Mick Rory: I was thinking about a fourth boob.
- Ishiro Honda: Three was plenty.
- Mick Rory: Huh. Listen, on this end, forget about the octopus. Lizards. Lizards are king.
- [departs]
- Ishiro Honda: [speaking to himself in Japanese] The King... of Monsters... I like that.
- Sara Lance: All right, andiamo los case. Chop chop!
- Charlie: Oy, enough shouting.
- Sara Lance: [watching her chug from a bottle of booze] That my whiskey?
- Charlie: [glancing at the empty contents] It was.
- Henry Heywood: Are you sure this room is secure enough to hold these creatures?
- Ava Sharpe: It's a temporary arrangement until our containment facility is up and running, sir.
- Nate Heywood: And they are heavily sedated, right, Gary?
- Gary Green: Yep. Double doses of elephant tranquilizer all around.
- Ava Sharpe: [leading Hank away] This way.
- Zari Tomaz: We're producers from K&G Pictures. We got word of an unusual animal sighting out in the bay. We were told that you might have some footage suitable for our news reel.
- Ishiro Honda: How do you know about that?
- Mick Rory: We're from Hollywood. We know everything.
- Sara Lance: When we are on a mission, I give the orders.
- Charlie: Whose rubbish idea was that?
- Sara Lance: You are lucky I am a reformed assassin.
- Sara Lance: Okay, what is it? You're supposed to be the fugitive expert.
- Charlie: Oh, well, that's no fugitive.
- Sara Lance: So, what, it's just some other magical monster that's not supposed to be here?
- Nate Heywood: [introducing his family to Ava] Hi, grandma. That's my grandma, Violet. Do not let her rope you into playing cards. It's a lose-lose situation. And there's my Uncle Rich.
- [Rich waves]
- Nate Heywood: Don't mention Obama.
- Ava Sharpe: Your family seems nice.
- Nate Heywood: Oh, it's still very early.
- Dorothy Heywood: Okay, everyone, the turkey is almost done.
- Nate Heywood: Wait for it.
- Dorothy Heywood: Brining. Yeah, it just has to sit for another hour and a half and then I'm going to pop it into the oven.
- Ava Sharpe: So that means dinner is when?
- Nate Heywood: Mm, give or take six hours.
- Ava Sharpe: What?
- [Nate's nephews run by playing, knocking over a plant]
- Ava Sharpe: Oh, my god.
- Nate Heywood: Buckle up, Ava Sharpe. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.
- Mona Wu: Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. Green.
- Gary Green: Hi, Mona. Thanks for bringing me food on a holiday.
- Mona Wu: It's literally my job.
- Mona Wu: Why are you working on Thanksgiving? What's the Time Bureau do, anyway?
- Gary Green: [seeing she's noticed the emblem on the wall] Ugh, it's like "Groundhog Day".
- Zari Tomaz: Gideon is showing strange marine activity in this area. Fish disappearing en masse, seismic tremors...
- Charlie: Do you need all that just to end up back where the film was shot?
- Zari Tomaz: Just being thorough.
- Charlie: Hmm, using fancy toys instead of your noggins, more like.
- Zari Tomaz: You know, I think I liked you better when you were in a cage.
- Cousin Patty: Dad, have you seen the boys?
- Uncle Rich: Oh, last I saw them, they were down in the basement. Playing with Nate's old air rifle.
- [a quiet popping gunshot is heard, followed by one of the boys calling for his mother]
- Henry Heywood: Guess they know how to load it.
- Gary Green: Sorry to bother you, but we have a bit of a situation here. The prisoners are loose.
- Ava Sharpe: What? How the hell did that happen?
- Nate Heywood: [groaning] The tranqs must've worn off.
- Ava Sharpe: Okay, we need to go.
- Nate Heywood: No, no, no. We leave, Hank will know something's wrong.
- Ava Sharpe: Something *is* wrong, Nate.
- Nate Heywood: So you want our liaison to the DOD knowing that we messed up?
- Ava Sharpe: No, I don't.
- Gary Green: What do I do?
- Ava Sharpe, Nate Heywood: Shut up, Gary.
- Nate Heywood: [seeing Mona at the Time Bureau] What the hell is she doing here?
- Gary Green: She was supposed to stay locked in the closet. I was gonna flash her later.
- Nate Heywood: What?
- Gary Green: That didn't sound right.
- Ray Palmer: Excellent hiding spot.
- Nora Darhk: Yeah, well, I'm not hiding. My father sacrificed himself to give me a second chance. I don't want to ruin it by backsliding into dark magic.
- Ray Palmer: Who says it has to be dark?
- Nora Darhk: John needs a magical tranfusion. Normally, I'd have to drain someone's life to save his.
- Ray Palmer: Well, life force is essentially energy. Right?
- Nora Darhk: Yeah.
- Ray Palmer: Well, then I have an idea.
- Nora Darhk: I should be on my way.
- Ray Palmer: Yeah.
- Nora Darhk: Okay.
- Ray Palmer: Um...
- [giving her the time stone back]
- Ray Palmer: Run. As far as you can. Don't tell me when and where. Just go and stay hidden.
- Nora Darhk: But your team will know you let me go. Again.
- Ray Palmer: And I don't care about that. I care about... you. And I want you to be free.
- [using the stone, she transports them to the Time Bureau]
- Ray Palmer: This is the Time Bureau. Nora, what are you doing? You got to get out of here.
- Nora Darhk: I can't keep running. You want me to be free? Repentance is my path to freedom.
- [giving the stone back]
- Nora Darhk: It's time for me to pay for my past.
- John Constantine: Hey, cheers, big man. And now I am gonna go and, uh, satiate my most wonderful habit. Gonna have a smoke.
- Ray Palmer: What? No, no, no. D-Don't ruin it. We just cured you.
- Sara Lance: What are you doing?
- Mick Rory: Quiet, I'm concentrating.
- Zari Tomaz: Mick is a writer. The journal has bonded with him.
- Charlie: Bloody hell. That's it, we're doomed.
- Charlie: I wasn't too keen on what you were doing out there. Hunting fugitives. But if someone's got to play copper, it is a small comfort knowing that she has a heart.
- Sara Lance: Don't tell the others. They'll never listen to me again.
- Henry Heywood: Hey, look, Nate. I just wished you told me what was going on.
- Nate Heywood: Honestly, I thought I could put out the fire before anyone noticed. Oh, now I know how you must've felt all those times you had to duck out of the family gatherings. You're the guy they called if there was a disaster.
- Henry Heywood: And I may have also been looking for a way to get out of the house.
- Nate Heywood: You old so-and-so.
- Ava Sharpe: I know what you're thinking, but I can assure you this will not happen again.
- Henry Heywood: You're damn right it won't. I'm going to greenlight additional funding to fast track the completion of your containment facility.
- Ava Sharpe: Well, thank you so much, sir. That will help a lot.
- Henry Heywood: [to Nate] And your mother is going to kill us.
- Ava Sharpe: Not necessarily.
- [holding up her portal watch]
- Ava Sharpe: Perks of time travel. We can portal back in to the second after we left.
- Ray Palmer: So, can you save him?
- Nora Darhk: Life force is the most potent form of energy in the universe, and you're like a battery about to run out of charge. But you already knew that, didn't you?
- John Constantine: Aye.
- Nora Darhk: Then why didn't you say anything?
- John Constantine: What? And help push you off the wagon? You're clean, Nora. It's best we keep you that way.
- Ray Palmer: [pulling her away] You can recharge him, right?
- Nora Darhk: You don't want me to do that, Ray.
- Ray Palmer: Yes, I do. Otherwise, he's gonna die.
- Nora Darhk: Ray. My power comes from my father. It's in my blood. It's always going to be calling me, wanting me to give in and be consumed, but I can't give in. I won't.
- Zari Tomaz: Why don't you tell Sara you're a writer?
- Mick Rory: Because I'm not.
- Zari Tomaz: Rory, I read your novel. As much as it pains me to say it, you are very, very talented.
- Mick Rory: Well, it doesn't matter. I can't write anymore. Nothing comes out.
- Zari Tomaz: You have writer's block.
- Mick Rory: No, I dropped a deuce this morning.
- Zari Tomaz: Ugh.
- Ishiro Honda: Every night before this journal came to me, I'd close my eyes and be back in the ruins of Hiroshima, choking on ash, wondering where all the people went. Not realizing they were all around me. In my hair. On my clothes. In my lungs.
- John Constantine: [to Nora Darhk] Girl, listen to me, listen to me. As smart as Ray is, he doesn't understand what you're about to do. Choosing a life of magic, you're either all in or you're not. There's no half-measures. And you and I both know it never leads to a happy ending.
- [shows Nora visions of a handsome black man]
- John Constantine: So if you're gonna do this... you don't do it for Ray. You don't do it for me. You do it for yourself, all right? It's your choice.
- [starts to lose consciousness]
- John Constantine: Your choice... it's your choice.
- [passes out]
