Following his loss at WrestleMania Xl, Roman Reigns has reportedly taken a hiatus from the wrestling realm, and it seems that the former Universal Champion is now taking a step toward the silver screen glory. While he’s no stranger to making an impact on film, Reigns seems poised to make an even bigger splash with an undisclosed role in the upcoming film Good Fortune.
Roman Reigns
He is set to join a star-studded cast including Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer, and Seth Rogen. While fans have had a glimpse at his potential character, the specifics of his role remain shrouded in mystery. Given his transformation into possibly the most significant heel of the modern era, one can assume how this impacts both his character and his potential in the film industry.
And that seems drastically different from his well-known cousin in the industry, Dwayne Johnson, who smoothly transitioned from WWE...

The total eclipse crossing the United States on Monday is more than a celestial marvel. According to Maga-minded “prophets” with dubious gifts of divination, the eclipse is a signal of God’s design for America, and another marker that former President Donald Trump is heaven’s “anointed” candidate.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign is running online advertising to raise cash for 2024 — and a portion of that ad spending is monetizing pro-Nazi content on the streaming service Rumble, Rolling Stone has observed.
In a short video ad that plays before select videos on Rumble, Trump makes a pitch to the Maga masses to help him counter “crooked Joe Biden” by donating to his 2024 campaign: “I am very humbly asking if you could chip in $5, $10, or even $25.” Trump vows that donors will help him “win back the White House” and “make America great again,...

Officials from the Kansas Republican Party have faced widespread criticism and calls for resignations after a fundraising event titled “Grand Ol’ Party,” took place in Overland Park, Kansas, and featured an effigy of President Joe Biden that attendees were encouraged to physically assault.
Video footage from the event shows individuals punch, kick and swing a bat at a Biden mannequin dressed in a “Let’s Go Brandon” shirt. The incident sparked a significant response on social media and ignited a broader conversation about the boundaries of political discourse and the importance of respectful engagement, regardless of ideological differences.
Although the video, originally uploaded to the video platform Rumble, was later deleted, Democratic commentator and attorney Kaivan Shroff uploaded a video of the event to X. Kansas GOP officials swiftly condemned the attacks on the effigy.

Update: Actor turned right-wing political activist Laurence Fox’s misogynistic rant on episode of “Dan Wootton Tonight” on U.K. channel Gb News has fallen afoul of media regulator Ofcom.
Comments made during the program by Fox targeting female political journalist, Ava Evans, prompted 8,867 complaints to Ofcom with viewers expressing concerns that his remarks were sexist, misogynistic and offensive.
Ofcom launched an investigation into the matter. “We found that Mr. Fox’s comments constituted a highly personal attack on Ms. Evans and were potentially highly offensive to viewers. They reduced her contribution to a broadcast discussion on mental health – in her professional capacity as a political journalist – to a judgment on whether she, or women like her who publicly expressed their political opinions, were sexually desirable to men,” Ofcom said. “As such, we considered that Mr. Fox’s comments were degrading and demeaning both to Ms Evans and women generally...

Plenty of American traditions surround Super Bowl Sunday: good food, overproduced commercials, the Puppy Bowl, and having octopi (and other animals) predict the game’s outcome are just a few. But in recent years one tradition has consistently threatened to ruin everyone’s fun, that being right-wingers spending more time fuming about their pet political and cultural grievances than actually enjoying the game.

Taylor Swift is the odds-on favorite to make history with an Album of the Year victory for “Midnights.” It would be her fourth win in the category following victories for “Fearless,” “1989” and “Folklore.” That would set a new record for the most Album of the Year wins for any recording artist ever, breaking Swift’s tie with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon. But she’s only tipped to win two other categories out of her six total nominations: Best Pop Vocal Album for “Midnights...

Sorry ABC, CBS and CNN, there’s a new player in the political primary debate fray.
NewsNation, the upstart cable news channel owned by local TV giant Nexstar, will host the fourth Republican primary debate next month.
The debate, which will also air on the Nexstar-owned CW network, will be moderated by NewsNation anchor Elizabeth Vargas, as well as SiriusXM host (and former Fox News primetime star) Megyn Kelly, as well as The Washington Free Beacon’s Eliana Johnson.

Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page made a surprise appearance to perform “Rumble” in honor of inductee Link Wray.

Rumble has made a brave stand as a right-leaning “free speech” video site where users can get life advice from accused human trafficker Andrew Tate, learn how vaccinated people are “ticking time bombs,” dive into QAnon lore about Princess Diana and JFK Jr. faking their deaths to take down an evil banking cabal, or adopt the screenname “Jew Hunter” while using a picture of a Ku Klux Klan rally as a profile background. But the appeal of such a platform isn’t necessarily enough to make it a successful upstart...

iShowSpeed is now eligible for a return to Twitch. Nearly two years after receiving a ban on the Amazon-owned platform, the streamer known as “Speed” has had his account reactivated.
Speed, earned himself a Twitch ban in December 2021 during an appearance on Adin Ross’ stream. The then-16-year-old creator was permanently barred from his own account after making sexually threatening comments toward model Ash Kash.
In an apology posted months later on his social channels, Speed lamented his “stupid and immature behavior” and suggested that he has room for growth. “I am 17 now, I was 16 when that happened and made a huge mistake,” he said.
The Twitch ban didn’t slow Speed down. Thanks to his activity on other platforms, especially YouTube, he emerged as a breakout star. He won Streamy Awards in consecutive years in 2022 and 2023, and he made a splash on the edgy streaming platform Rumble by launching...

The historic Power Trip festival kicked off on Friday night (October 6th) in Indio, California. The three-day event features six of the biggest hard rock and heavy metal acts in the world, with two bands performing each night.
Tens of thousands of fans descended upon the Empire Polo Club, the same site where Coachella is held every year. They were greeted by a giant devil-horn-shaped cactus, letting them know that they were in for a weekend of legendary rock music.
Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden had the honor of playing the first night, with Maiden taking the stage first at 6:55 p.m., about 10 minutes later than the advertised 6:45 set time.
Instead of playing a “greatest hits” set, as could have been expected at an event such as Power Trip, Maiden stuck with their current “Future Past World Tour” setlist, which features the band playing songs predominantly from their latest album,...

Russell Brand is being investigated by a second UK police force in the wake of allegations last month.
Thames Valley Police said a woman contacted the force two weeks ago with “new information” in relation to reports of “harassment and stalking,” while the BBC said Brand accused the woman of harassment against him in 2017.
The BBC said it understands the woman reported her allegations to Thames Valley Police numerous times between 2018 and 2022 but no further action was taken. Thames Valley said it would be “inappropriate to comment on an ongoing investigation” further.
The investigation is the second into Brand following a Met Police probe opened in the wake of rape and sexual assault allegations published by The Times, Sunday Times and Channel 4 three weeks ago. The BBC, Channel 4 and Big Brother producer Banijay have all opened internal investigations, while Brand has been dropped by his agent and book publisher.

BBC’s Social Media Guide
Steadying the flagship: Easily one of the BBC’s biggest ongoing headaches is around how the broadcaster’s most popular stars and presenters engage on social media platforms. The issue blasted back into life earlier this year when Match of the Day presenter and Twitter/X fanatic Gary Lineker tweeted to liken the language used by the British government around its asylum seeker policy to that of Germany in the 1930s and was temporarily suspended by the BBC. After an outcry over the suspension, which included many of Lineker’s colleagues stopping work in solidarity, he was reinstated and the BBC plunged into an existential crisis over how it remains impartial while allowing freedom of expression to its biggest stars.

X, the company formerly known as Twitter, has been at pains to lure back advertisers who deserted the platform in droves after Elon Musk‘s takeover, slashing the site’s revenue in the process. Last month, the company even rolled out expanded features for brands, including tools to help keep their ads away from undesirable content like hate speech.
But those measures have proven wildly ineffective so far, at least where one major ad partner — the NFL — is concerned. Reports from Media Matters reveal that X has been serving the...

Former President Donald Trump again is bashing the prospect of another Republican presidential debate, falsely claiming that his absence has translated into low viewership.
In fact, when his rivals gather at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library for the second debate on Wednesday, the question will be whether the event on Fox Business and Univision can match last month’s figures for the first gathering: a higher-than-expected 12.8 million viewers.
Fox News’s Dana Perino, who will moderate the debate with Stuart Varney and Univision’s Ilia Calderón, suggested that the viewership reflected a willingness among voters to look at alternatives.
“I think there’s people who are open minded and they’re paying a lot of attention, and they care about the direction of this country and they’re worried about it,” Perino told Deadline.

Russell Brand is back on Rumble more than a week on from allegations he raped and sexually assaulted four women at the height of his fame.
The comedian returned to his daily Stay Free show on Rumble, a video streaming service favored by free speech advocates as an alternative to YouTube, which demonetized Brand’s channel last week.
During the show, Brand questioned whether he was being “silenced” by “legacy media” after The Times, Sunday Times, and Channel 4 published allegations against him. Brand denies all criminal wrongdoing.
The show streamed soon after the Metropolitan Police announced that it would investigate allegations of sexual offenses in London and elsewhere in the UK.
“We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us,” police said.

YouTube said Tuesday that Russell Brand will no longer make money from the video streaming site after several women made allegations of sexual assault against the comedian-turned-influencer.

There are few Transformers more famous than Soundwave and it's almost all thanks to the original cartoon. In that series, he was portrayed as more robotic than the other Decepticons; his voice (provided by Frank Welker and a vocoder effect) was electronic and his speech patterns were mechanical. Since Soundwave was less expressive than his castmates, he was less likely to indulge in the show's slapstick humor or suffer humiliation. These qualities added up to an air of coolness and mystery. On a show with paper-thin characters, Soundwave's lack of personality actually made him more memorable.
Since Soundwave has been part of "Transformers" from the beginning and is so well-remembered by fans, why was he excluded from the 2007 "Transformers" movie? He's in the sequels, but he's not a player you wait to take off the bench.

Fox Business and Univision have been tapped to telecast the second Republican presidential debate, taking place Sept. 27 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, but the lingering question is whether front-runner Donald Trump will even show for the first event.

Trump has teased the prospect of holding some kind of alternative event, or commenting on his rivals from the sidelines, but he hasn’t 100% ruled out participating, his advisers have said.

Twitch says views of gambling streams dropped 75% after it began cracking down on promo from sites like Stake.com in September 2022.
“This meant the change had an immediate impact, and that our community has been better protected from scams and related harms,” it tweeted Aug. 2.
However, it added, since that ban it’s “observed some new trends and are updating our list of prohibited sites to better protect our community.”
Twitch’s original crackdown involved locking out “streaming of gambling sites that include slots, roulette, or dice games”–but only if those sites “aren’t licensed either in the U.S. or other jurisdictions that provide sufficient customer protections.” Stake (which was co-founded by Kick co-founder Ed Craven) was possibly the biggest site hit; Rollbit, Duelbits, and Roobet were also banned.
Now, new additions to the list include online casinos Blaze and Gamdom. Twitch didn’t give exact reasons for...
