Sweet Dreams (2024)
It's absolutely lovely!
Man, this flick is getting too low ratings. It's a really warm and believable hour and a half with mostly good acting. Never too much and never boring. I'd actually like it to be a bit longer, that's how much I enjoyed it!
Knoxville does an excellent job and you can really feel the pains he's going through every time he tears up about how he's mistreated his 8 year old daughter. Other fun characters are played by Theo von and Bobby Lee, although Lee is probably the weakest link in the movie, yet he still manages to be quite entertaining. Honorable mentions are Mohammed Amer and Jay Mohr who deliver really solid characters. A feel good movie!
The Pentaverate (2022)
C'mon, it's fun!
If you don't like Myers stuff and sense of humour, this isn't for you, and I bet that's where all the bad reviews cone from. The users who hate on this show probably never enjoyed Wayne's World, Austin Powers or anything else that Mike Myers ever did. HOWEVER! If, like me, you DO laugh at that stuff, this show is fun! Have you seen and heard most of the puns and jokes before? Sure! Are they still enjoyable? I'd say so, but I might be an idiot. I mean, I actually LIKED Love Guru...
Midnight Mass (2021)
Should have been done in 4 episodes.
The story and idea is really really cool. The acting is good, and just about everything production wise is flawless. But the script is way too long and made me bored quite a few times. The dialogues went on and on for no good reason.
Still worth watching though.
Verotika (2019)
Worse than you'd think...
I'm seriously doubting that this is a serious attempt to make a movie. Either it's an inside joke that went too far, or Glenn Danzig has totally lost his mind. This so called film is absolutely impossible to enjoy. It's just sad. Everything that could suck...sucks.
Paradise City (2021)
Awful. Just awful.
Awful. Just awful. The SOA folks and Balk are doing their best which is the only thing keeping this afloat. Other than those guys, everything sucks. The plot is weak, script is laughable, the acting feels like Days of our lives. Every part that has to do with music, the rehearsals, the studio recordings, the live features are ridiculous and not believable.
Oh, but Randy Blythe from Lamb of God and Sid from Slipknot are alot of fun though.
Stupid stupid show. But maybe, if you like Riverdale...
Boyz n the Hood (1991)
Really not that great.
So, I understand that this might be an important film and all, message-wise and so on... but the lines and directing is just awful. Fishburn does well and so does Cuba, but their talent is still shadowed by cheezy lines and laughable characters around them. I mean, the dude sporting the pacifier? Come on...
I actually watched the parody first, Ghetto Blaster (Don't be a menace to society while drinking your juice in the hood), and truth be told, the difference isn't big enough for Boyz in the hood to be taken so damn seriously.
Don't Breathe (2016)
Great idea, too many plot holes
This would be great of it wasn't for all the major flaws and plot holes. Some are just lazy and stupid and some holes are so big that the story doesn't even add up anymore. It's a shame, 'cause in many other ways it's a cool and suspenseful flick.
The Work Wife (2019)
Just bad.
The story is bad, the acting is bad, honestly, almost every second of this flick is bad.
Wounds (2019)
Good acting but leaves you wondering
Despite what obviously ignorant people have written here, there's nothing wrong with the acting in this film, quite the opposite. However, the story is pretty unclear and great potential is wasted with loose ends and a weird ending.
