Look Both Ways (2022)
Choices, Dreams, and Support
I went into watching this movie with an "eh, why not" mentality but was absolutely sucked in the whole way through. It's well done! The story is compelling and interesting, and honestly the message I took away kept me pondering for a while after it finished.
As a mom and a creative and certainly as a weilder of the infamous "what if?" phrase, I saw myself in this film a ton. I saw the hard decisions, the sacrifices, and the joy! And my goodness - I'm sure this part has gotten flack in other reviews, but in my opinion, - thank the Lord that they gave some credit to the type of men who stand by the woman they love through their current situations, as well as support them in their choices and dreams. We need more men like that! It's great to show what that kind of support can and/or should look like.
All around great movie, definitely recommend for moms and dreamers and those who support any or all of the above!
Blue Miracle (2021)
Great for the whole family
My family loved this movie! How could you not love something so life-giving and inspiring? I so appreciate movies that allow me to laugh, cry, and have powerful conversations with my children. The world needs more movies like this right now!
The Masked Singer (2019)
My whole family loves it
This show is something my whole family looks forward to every week! My husband and I love to piece the clues together and crack up at the judges banter and my three little boys love watching the performances! We all chime in for the unmasking together, chanting "Take it off! Take it off".
I honestly hope this show will continue for years to come. The connection I get with my family while watching the Masked Singer is worth 10 stars for sure!
Onward (2020)
Clever, Adventurous and Sweet
Just watched on Disney+ with my family. We all really enjoyed it. My husband and I probably laughed more than the boys because a lot of the humor was more witty rather than the slapstick humor that gets my boys laughing.
It was very clever, funny and surprisingly sweet (I may have even shed a tear closer to the end). The ending was slightly abrupt and a little anti-climatic but overall I'd say it was enjoyable and well done!
Blippi (2014)
Wonderfully cheesy
My boys (4y, 3y and 1y) absolutely love Blippi! He teaches so many things through fun and play. He's like a big kid with a joy for life and learning. I hope Steven John continues to make more episodes
The Chosen (2017)
Nothing religious about it
This show is NOT a stuffy, holier-than-thou, cheesy Christian evangelism tool. It's a Jesus you instantly fall in love with, characters with believable and relatable stories, beautiful cinematography and music that makes you want to soak it all in, and a depiction of the Bible that is all about relationship rather than religion. Each episode has metaphors, hidden gems and a message that always points back to Love.
Viewers pay it forward so others can watch for free. You can see the name of the person who contributed for you to be able to stream for free, and you can even send them a personal thank you note. Yet another way it revolves around relationship. I'm completely hooked!
The Chef Show (2019)
Authentic!
I knew after the first episode that I was going to love this show! Jon and Roy not only have a infectious friendship that makes you feel like a part of the crew but they are also so genuine, humble and real! This is what I watch when I need some inspiration. It's easy to fall back in love with cooking after just one episode of the Chef Show.
The Resident (2018)
One of the best
When I saw the first commercial advertising the Resident I was all "ooo Matt Czuchry huh? Okay I'll try it". I usually don't love hospital based shows. I'm also just slightly untrusting of the whole medical system so I come into shows like this already feeling a bit salty.
After the first episode though, I was hooked! I loved that it wasn't the traditional plot. I loved that it showed a different side to the system. I loved that the characters were believable and really seemed to care about people and were passionate about their jobs and skill.
Definitely one of the best medical shows out there!
Pearl Harbor (2001)
One of my favorites
It's been a while since I've seen this but it has always been one of my favorites. When I saw the rating on here I was so confused. It's got it all! Adventure, romance, comedy, history, suspense. It's very well done and I love it to this day!
Little Women (2019)
Lovely! Could re-watch several times.
This was so beautifully done. The quality of the filming and of the acting was spot on. It was emotional, inspiring, sweet, and definitely worthy of watching for years to come.
Downton Abbey (2019)
I loved every second!
I was so glued the whole entire movie! I didn't want it to end but I loved how it did. I left with a huge smile on my face!
