Saltburn (2023)
Good but without focus on main plot
Alright, so the movie's got a decent story, but you can pretty much guess what's gonna happen way too early. They should've trimmed it down to keep things interesting. And seriously, they go way overboard trying to make British high society look all modern and cool - it just feels fake. The never-ending parties and good times take up way too much screen time, stealing the spotlight from the actual plot.
Props to the actors, though, especially Barry Keoghan - that guy's a legend and makes the scenes worth watching. But the director seems dead set on dragging out the storyline unnecessarily, and then, out of the blue, the last 10 minutes are a mad rush to wrap things up. In a nutshell, it's got its moments, but a bit more focus on the real story and some pacing tweaks would've turned it into a much better flick.
Interview with the Vampire (2022)
Best version! Brilliant!
A different version however still close to the book's story. The explicit sex scenes and declarations of love between the two characters are as it should have been since the version with Pitt abd Cruise. But I'm am sure they refused to "expose" themselves to the same point as this new due.
And in my view. Sam Reid is doing a far better Lestat than Tom Cruise. Reid plays the character. Tom cruise filled the character with own arrogance.
I totally recommend this version. It feels more real and in touch with the true nature of vampires than the other version, made it in a mellow way to not shock anyone and keep Brad and Tom's image.
Världens vackraste pojke (2021)
When fame at a young can be a problem
This documentary points to a particular case of this boy, who's grandmother tried to get her grandson to make into the film industry. Like many parents were hoping their sons got Tadzio's part, Björn was the one who got it. But unlike many young stars we know, he had problems copping with the attention for being shy and also having family problems didn't particularly helped him. In no way I see him been exploited. He just needed more feedback maybe.
Our Father (2022)
Disturbing
I didn't read the sinopse. So I was not expecting to follow such a horrific story. I still feel very uncomfortable and amazed when remember it. Especially to think there was no justice made for the victims .
Queer as Folk (2022)
WTF is that?
I was expecting a follow up with the old cast and they delivered this. Total disappointed! Downgrae Queer as folk follow up. Nothing to do with the Uk &Us version. It should change its name and be put on a local sex gay shop on the basement of London Soho.
Clark (2022)
Good entertaining comedy
A serie that is a mixture of a friendly and clever criminal and a pathetic unprepared Swedish police. Therefore, so the history had to be told as a comedy.
Quem Vai Ficar com Mário? (2021)
Such a silly film
But I had to see it till the end. One of those films that one cannot be to critical while watching it. Just seat back and relax. If you can pass the first boring 20 minutes introduction, you'll get involved with story.
They were clever to cast the actors who play the brothers. They are two of the hottest young actors in Brazil.
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
It had so much potential
Until the last episode. Dexter was first a class series and the end he met at this season 10 was not at all worthy of him. Too quick too simple. There was no need to kill anyone innocent. He was put them to sleep before. So much more could be explored. It felt the writers just wanted to get rid of him as soon as they could before the end.
The Rachel Divide (2018)
One of the problems of lying
If she just said she was white, but embraced the cause and loved black people and their style, things would not have gotten to this mess. However, she knew she would not be heard the same way if she told the truth.
There are lot of "heterosexual allies" to gay causes. But they don't go around saying they are gay to be heard.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)
Poor woman
I had not seen or known of her experience. Hope she fine. I really feel for her.......................... ........ .........
A sick man. I wish all the best for her.
Monsters Inside: The 24 Faces of Billy Milligan (2021)
Very intriguing story
I started watching and couldn't stop until the end. He obviously had problems due to violence during his childhood. I made up my mind about his disorder. But I leave to everyone that watch to decide.
A Menina que Matou os Pais (2021)
Money badly spent
The acting is awful and the casting doesn't reflect the real people. Did the actors were technically chosen or they are the sons of people who contributed to the making of the film? Terrible. Don't wast your time.
Kardec (2019)
Boring
I'm Brazilian and I have a strong impression that Brazil is the only country that invests so much money making movies around the teaching of Kardec. It's seems to be big business around there.
The Good Son (1993)
Good and entertaining
Simple but good film with tense moments. Annoying psychologist though.
22 July (2018)
Anxiety builder
Heart breaking to imagine those teens going through this.
Gods of Egypt (2016)
Very entertaining
So they forgot the tanning splay like in the old days. People should give it a rest and just enjoy. I was sceptical in the beginning. But ten minutes on and I got involved with the story. Special effects are really good. Don't expect it to be historically accurate. It just entertaining.
Vikings (2013)
It could have been perfect
If it wasn't for the very weak way they chose Ivar to meet his end.
Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich (2020)
Not bad
It was good to examine a bit closer the those teens and women who for diverse personal reasons got involved with this very rich sociopath.
Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel (2021)
Unnecessary long
Just shows how incompetent the police were. They looked everywhere. But not were they should be looking . Also many people 's views were just to make it into a series.
Elementary (2012)
Sound problem
I thought was my hearing. But found many people here complaining the sound is do low. It's true. They whisper all the time which makes understanding what's going on very difficult.
Cidade Invisível (2021)
Interesting theme Horrible acting
The folclore characters are really interesting. But when one has to go through the bad direction and acting of this really boring all the same young generation Brazilian actors, it becomes frustrating and unbearably impossible to watch.
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
Detective's doc
Very much focused on the crime details and the detectives lives and thoughts. Very little on Ramirez himself and his early life.
Lupin (2021)
The feeling one is watching a Disney film
The plot has the naivety of the 70's tv shows with today's image. The main character is a highly intelligent tech expert. But fails to turn a vhs tape into a digital video and ends up screwing his best chance against his enemy. Also having only one full make over through the entire season didn't help to make it believable he could get away with so much. Even if the explanation on his disguises came half way the story. I'll watch the 2º season to see the out come.
It's a Sin (2021)
Masterpiece
The 80's AIDS pandemic brought to you on a very personal level. Emotional from beginning to finish. There is no way one cannot relate to the stories of each character gay or straight one way or another. It's so real!
Soros (2019)
Soro's own propaganda
He's no philanthropist! He's in for the money and selfish interests. This doc is just a promo for his business.
