I had very high hopes for this movie. I have watched the originals many times I can't remember. I watched the RGB religiously as a kid and rewatched with my kids. I've read all the comics over the years and collected numerous toys and collectibles. It's safe to say I'm a Ghostbusters fan. I enjoyed GB AL as a love letter to Spengler and hoped it would launch a new franchise. GB FE is fun and exciting has great nostalgia and Ray is truly Ray in this one. Venkman is awesome in his small role and the new equipment is brilliant. The Slimer side story is nice, but would have liked to have seen more. I was a bit disappointed by the new GBs characters as they were under used and fairly randomly placed, Winston seemed off character in parts and again was under used. Some new ghosts were really cool, would have been good to see more of them, but the Pheobe story felt really awkward and distracted from the pace of the movie. It felt like it was shoehorned in and made to be a pivotal moment. It was unnecessary and created more questions than it answered, but questions I didn't care for the answer to. The time spent on their could have been easily spent on more worthwhile scenes that seem to have been deleted since the trailers released. I hope Sony listen to feedback and continue the franchise in the same vain as the originals, fun, exciting, hilarious, quick witted and full of cool Ghosts and equipment.

Having waited for this movie some 30yrs, it had a lot to live up to.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the cast for the most part is perfect.

The tributes to the original movies and Ramis are very well done. The special effects are amazing and don't distract from the originals.

Should it have been better? Probably, but I understand why the movie had to be smaller. I just hope it sets up a new future for GB.
