Jana Gana Mana (2022)
Good movie
A college lecturer gets killed and her body is burnt, and the incident leads to a massive public outcry. Police officer Sajjan Kumar is in charge of booking the culprits, and his attempts to execute the same isn't as simple as any regular investigation. The film shows who the real criminals behind the act are and how their ploys get unmasked.
While watching such an engaging movie, however, it was difficult to not notice the extremely poor quality of the Malayalam subtitles that were run in the theatre, filled with spelling mistakes to titles that aren't in sync with the proceedings on the screen. If it is something that can be corrected in the upcoming screenings, the least, it should help the movie a lot more, as there are many non-Malayalam dialogues in it.
Those who love a good political crime thriller inspired from real-life incidents can feast on Jana Gana Mana, that teaches you to think, question, challenge and more as a common man who consumes news at its face value.
Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016)
Good movie
Find it really funny.
The movie started firstly very slow and since it's not a native language to me but as the noise progressed I enjoyed to watch the twist and turn faced by a commoner. And the most important thing about this movie is that other common people can relate to. Such characters can be found in every place, every bust d, every nearby gullies, every nearby pan shop. Unlike the traditional movies which portrays how hero should be and how the world obeys and submits to him, here the movie showcases how completely opposite this is for a person who is main character in his life faces twists and turns.
