Radioactive (2019)
Too much sex
Yep I'm one of "those people" that actually prefers a great biographical cinematic production that I can enjoy or even share with my kids to further their love of education. This movie was good and didn't need naked scenes, or sex scenes. I mean, it would have been more tasteful to imply that the newlyweds had intercourse - your audience is people interested in science, so they know how babies are made!!!. Not just for my kids' sake but for my own too! I'm no prude but it's really annoying.
Call Me Kat (2021)
By the third episode I was sold
I'll admit it. I didn't get into this show until the third episode. By then I had grown to love and appreciate the style of humor on the show that we just don't see much of these days. Mayim provides a narrative during the show and often talks to the camera which made me uncomfortable. But my episode three I was use to it.
Mayim is like a young Bette Midler, without the raunchy humor (which is much appreciated.) The show is light and airy, yet tackles some of our modern culture.
I love the end where the cast waves good-bye and dances around. Although I'm too young to have watched shows in the 60s, I do recall from reruns that the cast of shows would do this. It's just a fun twist.
In the age of way too much smut garbage tv, it's nice to find something funny that doesn't resort to bring crude. Very sharp.

The Call of the Wild (2020)
Superb!
What an adventure! You don't see movies like this one very much these days. Reminiscent of when Walt Disney made movies. Plus the cast, writing and CHI are tremendous! Our entire family laughed, cried, and stayed glued to the screen til the end.
Good Girls (2018)
This show had potential
I LOVE Retta and LOL'd at her first scene with her stage daughter. I was excited to see her in another show since Parks and Rec and was fully prepared to embrace this as my show. But then (spoiler alert) it got to the scene of her friends husband eating out his assistant at work. I mean really?? That's basically modern day. And here's a shocker - not everyone wants to see that!
This show airs on Netflix which also means there are not filters or password protection for kids. It's just like Netflix doesn't really care for families.
The directors and writers could have gotten the point across in a much more tasteful way. So I guess I'm not watching this after all because I can't support a show that thinks modern day, on an unfiltered network, is ok.
Murder Mystery (2019)
Cute movie for anyone of that era
Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler have still got it and they deliver a fun, heart-warming, relatable comedy that is so fun for anyone - but especially for those of us who grewn up alongside these two. It's a great way to spend the night with your sweetheart, or on your own.
Aladdin (2019)
Sad to see a classic turn into a political agenda
The effects are visually stunning but the storyline is severely lacking. It's sad to see the beloved classic morphed into this garbage of a movie to promote "girl power." The movie lacks substance and really didn't need to be made. The original had a better storyline, and better singers. Very unimpressed.

American Housewife (2016)
A Mom's Binging Buddy
As a super busy American housewife myself, I have to say I look forward to ad cherish the evenings I can binge-watch this relatable and delightful show. I snuggle in with my glass of wine and sometimes a snack (hey a mom's gotta eat), crack open my laptop and enjoy. I chuckle and yes, even snort at the comedy - it's that funny - careful not to wake my sleeping family.
Katie Otto truly is the American Housewife. I think we can all relate to the challenges she faces - including but not limited to - weight, self-image, kids, schools, community and our little silly suburban lives.
We can all relate to those two quirky friends that get us through life. For Katie is Doris & Angela. And they are frikkin hilarious!!
Actually the entire cast is great! Her husband is one of my all-time favorite actors and while I've never seen the kids in anything prior I have to say they really bring it when it comes to comedic comedy and timing. Wendy Malick as always is charming, quirky yet biting.
If you're a mom looking for a fun, light-hearted comedy that won't make you think too much (because hey, we got enough on our plate) then this is for you. I rank it up there with my other favs like Modern Family, and Park & Rec. well done! Can't wait for season 4
