Riverdale: Chapter One Hundred and Fourteen: The Witches of Riverdale (2022)
Sabrina Spellman given a proper cameo!
If you read my review of the earlier episode with Sabrina Spellman; Riverdale: Chapter Ninety-Nine: The Witching Hour(s), I said that Kiernan Shipka was wasted in that episode. In this episode they rectify that. Her character Sabrina Spellman was intricate to the plot this time which made the episode more enjoyable. I can't wait for Percival Pickens to get his comeuppance. He is really despicable which you want in a villain. I hope his punishment fits his crimes!
Bob's Burgers: Clear and Present Ginger (2022)
Gayle is the worst!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Gayle SUUUUCKKKKSSSSS! Any episode with Gayle immediately loses stars. I can't stress how much she sucks! The limo story was pretty good, but not enough to save us from the suckatude of Gayle. Luckily she doesn't show up too often, but when she does the episode is a write-off. Just kill her already. I would love to watch an episode where she dies a horrible and painful death. I would give that episode 1,000,000,000 stars!
The Endgame (2022)
The Blacklist version 2
With The Blacklist coming to an end soon, it looks likes NBC prepared this as its replacement. Morena Baccarin plays a female version of Red Reddington named Elena Federova in this. Yes, they tweaked it a little, but anyone with half a brain can see that it's basically the same premise; criminal helping law enforcement put away bad guys they don't know about.
Five episodes in and its looking pretty good. They have a great actress as the lead and if they can keep the quality up, it should last for awhile. The Blacklist is on its ninth season and running out of steam although I still watch and enjoy it. We will just have to wait and see if this show can go the distance. I'll be rooting for it.
B Positive: Dagobah, a Room and a Chimney Sweep (2022)
Fat girl schadenfreude
Tonight's episode was excellent! The fat girl was hilarious. Use to watch Kether Donohue in "You're the Worst" which I thought was a great show. I'm wondering what happened to her because she got fat, Fat, FAT! It doesn't detract from her comedic timing though.
American Auto (2021)
One season wonder
That's what its looking like for this show. The first and biggest problem with this show is that Ana Gasteyer is not a lead actress. She is more of a character actress and there is nothing wrong with that. A great character actor/actress can enhance and add color to a show. Stephen Root comes to mind. Whether its Jimmy James on NewsRadio or Milton in Office Space, his performances added to the project. Ana Gasteyer is similar. Whether as Miss Cinoman on The Goldbergs or in an ensemble cast on SNL, a little goes a long way.
The writing is mediocre and recycles from better sources. The acting is decent, but not enough to save this turd. Something to watch if you want to waste some time.
Riverdale: Chapter One Hundred: The Jughead Paradox (2021)
100th episode
Okay wasn't digging the whole "Rivervale" thing, but I must admit this episode was pretty good not great mind you, but it did have its moments.
Definitely liked it when Jughead was wearing the outfit from the old comics.
Riverdale: Chapter Ninety-Nine: The Witching Hour(s) (2021)
Sabrina Spellman deserves better!
While it was nice to see her again, I felt that Kiernan Shipka was wasted in this episode. These "Rivervale" episodes are trying to mash too many things together. You have Cole Sprouse doing a poor man's Rod Serling mixed with a Twin Peaks vibe and B-movie horror films. I am grudgingly getting through these episodes so I can get back to the normal Riverdale.
Bob's Burgers: The Pumpkinening (2021)
Gayle is the worst!
Gayle is the worst character on this show. Every time she shows up, you're guaranteed a suckfest of an episode. She definitely sucks the life out of the show when she's featured. The most annoying character on TV today!
Supergirl: Truth or Consequences (2021)
Little scene stealer.
The girl who plays Esme steals every scene she's in. She's so good you forget she's an actress. Kudos also to whoever wrote the character. She is the realest child character I've seen in a long time.
Legends of Tomorrow: Speakeasy Does It (2021)
Yay! More human Gideon!!!!!
I'm loving human Gideon. I know we had glimpses before in previous seasons, but I hope she sticks around awhile. Amy Louise Pemberton is such a great actress and raises the bar on the series. Keep 'em coming.
In the Dark: Excess Baggage (2021)
Thrid time the charm!
I've tried to post this before but it seems someone wants to stifle my freedom of speech. I disagree with the other poster. In my opinion they are hating the wrong person. I applaud Felix for what he did to Murphy. Finally someone put her in her place! Murphy is cold and callous to everyone. She treats her friends like dog excrement. Just because you have a disability, it doesn't give you the right to act and treat people this way. This was a long time coming and should have happened much sooner.
Riverdale: Chapter Ninety-Four: Next to Normal (2021)
Why do they keep doing these?
Musical episodes SUCK! And yet, they keep doing them. The majority of people hate them. I only watch them to keep current with the story-line, but they are painful to sit through!
Riverdale: Chapter Ninety-One: The Return of the Pussycats (2021)
All hail the original Josie and the Pussycats
I've had some problems some of the re-imaging of the Archie comics for this series. One of the biggest was taking Josie and the Pussycats, the original multi-racial band and turning them all black. It just feels like a step backwards. It just goes to show you how forward thinking the comics and old cartoon series really were.
