More Than I Wished For (2021)
The movie title is wrong and should be corrected
The title of the movie is wrong it should be corrected. The title to this movie is A Fiancé For Christmas. It was a good movie I really enjoyed it. Its near impossible to come up with a new movie idea, sure this one has been done before and this one does it well.
Supergirl: Blind Spots (2021)
Written by ideologues ramming their social and political philosophy down your throat at ever turn.
This episode was absolute utter garbage. I'd have given it a negative rating if it were an option. If this were not the final season I'd never watch another episode and caution everyone to skip this so called "Super Hero Show" entirely. The social and political bias in this episode was so extreme and unrelenting that I felt waterboarded by the writers agenda. Touching on social and political controversial subjects is one thing, jamming it down your throat is entirely something different. Kara's naivety and sympathy has got her in trouble on more than one occasion, this episode was not THAT! Lastly, super hero shows should be fun sci-fi that boarders on the ridiculous that can be viewed by all ages, especially children without fear of indoctrination and/or over exposure to sexual content. Fundamentally stories of good vs evil, crime stopper vs criminal. Why the show-runners thought it would be a good idea to make Supergirl and her team the bad guys is beyond comprehension. That is until you factor in "the morals" of this episode which are without a doubt the Progressive Left's ideology. This wasn't entertainment, this was dragging you kicking and screaming to church like it or not .... period.
Merry & Bright (2019)
No Magical Romance Here
The candy cane company storyline had promise however this Christmas movie lacks magic. I enjoyed Sharon Lawrence's character (Joy) the most, especially her scenes with the dog. Jodie Sweetin (Cate) and Andrew W. Walker (Gabe) pulled off "business associates and friends" okay but failed miserably at romance. There's no sparkle or warmth between these characters. Instead, it felt like there was an underlying animosity; their mouths say one thing but their body language says something entirely different. If you're looking for a romantic magical Christmas movie, I'd skip this one.
President Evil (2018)
So unfortunate
It's unfortunate star ratings don't have a minus sign option as this movie (calling it a movie is to generous) is about the worse piece of crap I've even seen. There are "B Movies" than there's this, File it under "RD" for Rubbish Dump.
Brexit: The Uncivil War (2019)
Interesting and Provocative
Excellent acting, fast-paced, fascinating subject however much too important a subject to be covered in a short film. Ultimately felt like a last-ditch effort for REMAIN argument.
Braven (2018)
Disappointng
Beautiful Canadian wilderness, the writing and acting is nonsensical; I was disappointed and expected a whole lot better from this cast line up. I had to force myself to watch this movie till the end. If you can't find anything else to watch then go for it otherwise I'd skip this flick.
The Gifted: coMplications (2018)
Disappointing x 3
Having watched the first three episodes back to back in hopes the season would pick up was nothing more than 3 times the disappointment. This season thus far is all about girl power, it's slow, predictable and feels more like an afternoon soap opera than a syfy mutant/superhero hit series. . Just when you think the shows about to pick up and make sense it falls short in almost all aspects.
Season two's antagonist Reeva Payge played by Grace Byers has to much screen time, is far from frightening rather is just annoying. Its Anika Calhoun Byers character from the hit show Empire only with mutant powers, lame unexplained powers at that! Amy Acker's character Kate Strucker is poorly written she serves little purpose other than hysterics. There is a sexual tension between some of the characters that shouldn't be there, it's kind of creepy. I'll watch a few more episodes before I toss in the towel. One can only hope the best wasn't left on the cutting room floor.
Three Wives, One Husband (2014)
Informative documentary on a taboo subject.
Polygamy a taboo subject is handled with care, explores without sugar coating the day to day issues of their chosen marital arrangements. This is not a cult but rather a closeted community of like-minded spiritual people living out of sight because of their religious beliefs and their need to live the life they believe brings them closer to God. While well done and informative, I would have rated this documentary higher if polygamy laws and fear of prosecution were not just touched upon but instead explored the arguments for and against in better detail. All in all this docu-series provides a perspective of polygamy one should see and understand before passing judgement.
Batman V Arrow (2016)
I enjoyed this fan made film.
I think this fan made film is worth watching. Most of the costumes are well done, the actions scenes are pretty good. I would have rated the film higher if the editing had been more professional, a tall order for a low budget film. Some of the actors are better than others however the story makes up for any of the films short comings. Any true superhero fan will appreciate the effort of this tribute.
