The Man Who Never Was (1956)
Dreadful acting.
Whoever cast Gloria Grahame and some of the others as actors suitable for the roles they played should be ashamed. There is a smell of" cheapness" about this production and a lack of conviction of believability in what's on the screen, sadly the story is reall could have been used to produce a thriller building up the "will he be caught or not" and is the fraud being played against the German high command going to succeed. Seeing Joan Hickson " Miss Marple as a land lady was amusing and assorted policemen special branch agents running about in the typical hackneyed trench coats so that the audience knows that they're the 'goodies' is so uninspired of any Director or maybe it's a Producers fault?
Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop (2021)
Don't waste your life watching this.
Walt Disney's Pollyanna was more dramatic than this"mystery" crime drama!!...the Cole ladies martial arts skills were weaker than a wet
paper kitchen towel.
