Chainsaw Man (2022)
Anime or animated series?
This anime is one of the examples where you shouldn't have over-hyped an anime made by an A-List production company. Personally understand why people likes it, and dislikes it .... To be very honest, this could be the cringe-iest graphics i have seen this season, probably the entire 2022. Personally ain't good at drawings, but I know animes are unique in it's arts and drawings, not a piece of work rendered in 3D. It's awfully lazy and disgusting, if Martin Scorsese watches anime, he would have say "This is not anime".
Chainsaw man is a completely over-hyped, generic, "animated" series made by an A-List production studio who thinks 3D-artworks is the future of anime.
Read the manga, way better than the "animated" series.
Black Adam (2022)
Unnaturally written with slight hint of entertainment
Black Adam is poorly written and unnatural paced while packs with plot holes, cringey sequences, and weak side-character development. Short screentime between main character and side characters make it even more pointless and emotionless, and plenty of awkward acting from fast paced sequence cringes the mood throughout the film, However, the humour, action sequences and tone are slightly above average which makes the only positive aspects for the show. Meanwhile, The Rock nailed the character well and the whole film exceeded personal expectation making it sufficiently entertaining for a mere 2 hours.
The Batman (2022)
good movie but not for all audience
Robert's performance is better than what I have expected, even the show it's a bit too long, it is still enjoyable and makes you goosebumps in some scene. This is one of the best Batman out there.
Black Widow (2021)
Non-essential in MCU
Black Widow was very highly anticipated until it turns out being a soulless "spin-off outta MCU for fun" blockbuster from Marvel. It shows important-less scenes literally in almost every aspect of the show from the partially broken family to the villain(s). Plot is derailed, yet pointless that you will leave the seat whether the end-credit scene is important or not.
Mulan (2020)
Losing the purpose of remake
Pretty casting but lack of character development, colorful scenes but poor choreograph and screenwriting leaving awkward moment for some scenes. 2 hours of movie, nothing surprising as each moment is predictable and "knew what its going to be" with the animated version, still strongly prefer the animated version.
Tenet (2020)
Re-watch worthy
Movie is made like Nolan has mastered the theory of time inversion, tricky yet epic.
Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)
crazeeeeee and insanely-funny
This movie supposed to be Harley Quinn's standalone but managed to introduce new heroes to the DCEU in the same time. this movie is really meant to be made in R-rated, seems like DC has already learn their mistakes from Suicide Squad and BVS.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)
Intense and funny but deviative
It's fast and it's furious but disastrously deviative when it comes to this point, from street racing movie becomes an international "tactical" counter-terrorist movie. Hobbs and Shaw ain't really Fast & Furious presented one and it should be; Based on characters from Fast & Furious. Then when it comes to the characters Hobbs and Shaw themselves, they are more humorous and naive than the original character from Fast & Furious series. Despite those, the movie still strongly grasp with humor and intensive action scenes with a little hint of easter eggs, well who cares it is related to the original series or not when it comes to worth-watching, promisingly satisfied Hobbs and Shaw duo spin-off.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
An outstanding performance and scriptwriting
Fascinating timeline despite mentioning previous MCUs storyline all together in one single movie, the 3 hours runtime doesn't feel so long due to its suspense story, there is funny moment, epic moment and the most important one.......... The heartbreaking moment. All characters have done their role very well, it is one of the greatest superhero movie of all time.
Shazam! (2019)
A start from scratch DC movie
Shazam! is one of the most amusing DC comic movie so far that brings fun moment to audiences and it's a promising and almost perfect low budget DC movie. The characters are well introduced especially Shazam's and supervillain's origin story. Overall, DC's future plans shouldn't be a problem.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Good humour and timeline but poorly scripted on some stories
Even though repeating some tiring flashbackssssssss , Captain Marvel still struggling to know herself but remembering her past(that irritatingly repeated flashback) instead, character itself still unable to prove how strong she is and what she capable of despite of pushing away and flying through Ronan's ships and the DC styled eye glowing scene are annoyingly intimate, satisfyingly surprised with its humours and the smooth connection to End Game timeline. It's not the best MCU movie, it's good but it's below average of MCU movies ,it can be worth watching if you really thinking of how Captain Marvel are connected to upcoming Avengers End Game.
Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
An enjoyable action-packed cyberpunk film
Alita: Battle Angel is a visually stunning action-packed cyberpunk thriller, story has an emotional theme and its flawless CGI which makes it even better. Each actions and fight move pumps adrenaline, it's a must watch movie in big screen especially in IMAX 3D. If you haven't watch Yukito Kishiro's Gunnm, this might be the right movie for you to watch !!
