The Rehearsal: Pretend Daddy (2022)
Wow. That was an amazing 30mins! I don't know how else to describe it
Nathan does it again, delivering top ground breaking TV, that'll make you feel you watched something special. Isn't that what TV is all about?
The episode.
Nathan goes deeper into his persona that graduated with high grades. He asks a mother if her 6 year old child knows what acting is, ponders that the natural layout of a house with children is art, pretends to be a father to a man pretending to be a child, and to a doll, and basically steals a mother and her fatherless child's behaviours and hires a kid for them to incorporate the behaviours.
This is madness.
Flipping the coin, in the middle of the episode he manages to explain to a child, who is confused about him not being his daddy (meaning the rehearsal with Nathan should have worked wonderfully), that he is not his daddy with a metaphor. It was truly smart, evoking the shared loved experience of pretending to be a dinossaur and playing, and saying that what they were doing was the same. I can't think of a better way to explain this. It saved a lot of potential therapy.
This is the opposite of madness.
It's a profound piece of TV really anyone can enjoy and learn something.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law: A Normal Amount of Rage (2022)
Love the 10 star ratings because it's their favourite actress and because it has the marvel intro
Do you even have a brain? Or are you that brainwashed? I personally think any 10 star rating and anyone upvoting those need to consider their biases. This is easily the worse thing that came out of marvel, but the willingness to label any negativism as a trend is itself a trend. It is not based on any empiric evidence. You have issues if you think the episode is good overall. This is based on analytical observation.
The Rehearsal: Apocalypto (2022)
I realized what is missing
It's the rehearsal of the rehearsal. If he rehearsed the rehearsal, he would have realized Angela wasn't ready for the rehearsal, and the guy from first episode wasn't ready either. They need to want to rehearse, not just Nathan, but they are just doing it half gas, and without any appreciation for the resourses spent. Choosing the rehearsees should be a big part of the show too. Also the Jewish teacher clearly needed a rehearsal before speaking to Angela haha.
Primal: The Primal Theory (2022)
And there you have it.
Very boring episode. It tries to be funny at the end, but it sounds so lazy, so dumb. It is just plain stupid. Thank god the narrative has no dialogue, because they are terrible. This is the worst episode of tv i've seen in a while. Watch it.
I Am Groot: Magnum Opus (2022)
Limitations
Taking into account the serious narrative limitations this show faced, its a wonder they actually made it watchable at all. It actually was mildly entertaining. Kudos, not an easy feat, and hard to top. It wasn't boring, surprisingly.
The Rehearsal: The Fielder Method (2022)
The Fielder Method
Actors will talking about it centuries to come. Maybe the most powerful acting method, if it wasn't totally legal.
Also, the teenage actor for the kid did a very powerful performance, he deserves recognition.
Nathan for You: Finding Frances (2017)
hey there
I am 29 and have a similar story to Bill. I can really see myself in him one day, if I don't talk to her right now. I Must. I have 9 grand children waiting.
1883: Racing Clouds (2022)
This one, this one is very good
It seems this show officially suffers from the "hit or miss" syndrome that has much affected oh so many tv series throughout time...
Following a terrible episode, perhaps its worse to date, this one shines bright like the girl protagonist when she stays silent. Very enjoyable one.
Next one is the last this season. I wonder if it will hit!
South Park: Post Covid - The Return of Covid (2021)
Someone has to right a normal review
And that person will... not be me. I just don't feel like typing atm. Anyways, Mat and Trey still have it if you are wondering. You two keep strong, we love your brains you crazy men.
Cobra Kai: Then Learn Fly (2021)
Then Learn Die
So I'm not a parent or anything, so I'm not biased... Wait, I did fall off a building once actually, so I might be. Don't worry I'm ok. Anyways, what was I saying? I believe it was something about don't jump off buildings... Well nevermind I forgot.
Batman: The Animated Series: Harley and Ivy (1993)
Poison Ivy: "This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship" (8"30')
I just wanted to quote Poison Ivy. Indeed it was!! And right now it is flourishing (pun intended), the two have their own Tv Series now, with its 3rd season coming up, and what a Tv series it is too. This episode is very much like a prequel, the origin story. Harley Quinn fans can watch it as a stand alone, in fact, you should. Enjoy.
The Flash: Heart of the Matter, Part 2 (2021)
Very nice
I gotta be honest with you, in comparison to the rest of the season, it was a nice little finale. Just keep your expectations checked.
Primal: Plague of Madness (2020)
If you notice someone is downvotin every positive ratin
I cant spell letters between f and j so bear wit me. Te ater is clearly someone wo doesnt like proressive stories - and close minded.
Family Guy: Customer of the Week (2021)
louis
Thats pretty cool and all, but you should do it for peter, then create a story line, coherent if you can, and do it for multiplle episodes, and then i won't wonder how it hasn't been cancelled yet. Jk it will be perfect. Love this show anyways.
Solar Opposites: The Unlikely Demise of Terry's Favorite Shot Glass (2021)
The Wall Season 2 Delievers
This is it! The moment we were waiting for... She Lives. There was nothing gravity could do against the best (main?) character's plot armor, but I guess gravity works different in small objects as well!
Another whole episode dedicated to the true main storyline. I mean... do I have to say more?
Yakusoku no Neverland: Episode #2.5 (2021)
To the people saying for the manga readers to stfu
If only you knew what you were missing. Except you wouldn't know how good it is, since you think this bs is good. It's like I'm having an attack of pity for you guys, just seeing those 9-10 reviews I can't help but write this too. Sorry for your brain I guess
Paranormal (2020)
The rating is biased, you can see it by comparing it to Queens Gambit, I'll tell you how.
With almost the same votes as Queens Gambit and the same rating, if you click on the number of votes you will see a very different story from Paranormal. In Paranormal, total votes of +45 is almost null. Also the number of votes of <18 is 10x higher than in Queens Gambit, averaging 9.9. You can clearly see how the score is biased with this info- basically the egytptian/arabic fanatics, which I'm 100% sure there are hundreds of thousands, tend to score 10 before even watching the show. They are fanatics after all and they are young, I don't blame them. I think there are really a lot of people like that. That said Queens Gambit is clearly an objectively speaking superior work than Paranormal, even thuugh it has the same rating. With no bias, Paranormal is a 8-8.4 at best.
His Dark Materials: The City of Magpies (2020)
It's out! And it surpasses all my expectations
What a great start. After a solid first season, His Dark Materials returns better than ever, with an outstanding first episode. Every thing was better, acting cinematography etc, and it promises a whole lot for the rest of the season! In my opinion, dialogue improved the most, and it might get even better. Keeping it spoiler free, it made watching the first season worth.
Dark: Das Paradies (2020)
How can the finale have over 200 ratings,
When the season's only been out for less than 3 hours? For all that's worth, I like that it's so popular. But what is the meaning of this? Maybe it was it's popularity... that made someone from the future come back in time to rate it before it aired! Wait a minute if that's true then it all makes sense. Why this show is so good. The writer is in this. Everytime he came back he made the show better! This is probably the 10.000 time they perfected it, since they are not in a loop. Ok for that timeless effort I will give the 10. I get it now.
Snowpiercer (2020)
Met half the expectations
That could've been worse. Not an easy show to make I guess.
Enjoyable 7.3/10
BoJack Horseman: BoJack Kills (2016)
Good episode, but
It felt (very) rushed. I think it should have been 2 episodes. It also had another minor issues but overall pretty enjoyable.
7.3/10
Legends of Tomorrow: Zari, Not Zari (2020)
Good episode. Better than Flash's at least ...!
One thing I'm not sure... The title of the episode. Zari, not Zari. Is this a reference to Gintama, the best tv show ever made? It wouldn't be possible would it? The saying goes.... ZURA JANAI, KATSURA DA. (Katsura, not Zura)
I'll check in the wiki.... The episode's title is a play on the phrase "sorry, not sorry".
It also references the fact that Zari never met the Legends and vice-versa due to a dramatic timeline change, thus a new version and history of Zari now exists, unlike the one from the original timeline.
That clears things up.
This is my first and last review.
