Lockwood & Co. (2023)
Something I could watch with my kids
Finally, something my kids and I loved to watch together. Even my college-aged kids. Clever and unique idea (as we know that is rare anymore), and fun to watch. Acting is on point - casting did a good job. Love the time period and setting and that this is such a different sort of supernatural not seen before. I understand Netflix is not renewing it. Honestly how do these corporates keep screwing up like this? We are all hoping that Amazon or another streaming service will pick it up. It totally has a strong following. Just let you kids know before you watch that it's filmed in London and over there sh*# is only crap for them. You'll hear it a lot.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel: Rumble on the Wonder Wheel (2022)
Began with a bomb
Just not as witty and fun as the previous seasons. Constant yelling, weird breakdowns, and too many F bombs. Something is missing from the show and they decided to fill the hole with f bombs.
Haters Back Off! (2016)
Mindless fun
I watched the first season w my girls and we enjoyed it. Yes, it's obnoxious and whiny but that's the point. We use several lines from this show in life - the "are you an alto or a soprano?" "I'm an American!" And when we see a cute guy come in we will act like her mom. I mean, it's not supposed to win an Emmy. It's just fun.
Outmatched (2020)
Lots of potential.
I have no idea why people are so hard on this show. It's a pilot; first episodes are notoriously rough. But it has lots of potential. Excellent cast, a real family, and the kids aren't stereotypical teenagers. We laughed quite a bit. I will definitely be back to see how it develops.
The Meg (2018)
Totally fun movie you can enjoy with your older kids.
I don't understand the bad reviews that expected this movie to be Shakespeare or something. It's honestly just total fun. I loved the fact my older kids could go, as it's scary but the deaths are not gory and gratuitous, and the language is not bad. We had such a fun time, I would recommend it for sure.
A.P. Bio (2018)
Quirky and fun
I think it's funny. All the actors are doing a great job and I laugh through the whole thing.
