Ethan is an 8 year old boy whose best friend Bailey was his dog through to his teen years. There is probably ten (10) percent of the population or more that can relate to having a loving pet for many years and then one day having to make that awful decision to put your pet down for humanitarium reasons. Bailey is a dog who we get to see come back to life four (4) times as a different dog breeds each time and with different experiences, some good, some not so good.
Josh Gad is the voice of Bailey throughout each of his four (4) lives and the veteran Walt Disney actor Dennis Quaid is the adult Ethan who finds it too far fetched to believe that the stray dog that shows up on his family farm some decades later is his old Bailey brought back o life in another dogs skin just to mes with his head.
This film will tug at your heart strings and provide tears of joy as well as tears of sadness. It's a great film for young and old alike.
