Sure there are some cringe moments and the english dubbing can make the acting/relationships feel a little forced at times.
But it fit in okay with the unsure feelings/loyalties surrounding a cult environment !
If you can look past this and digest the deeper theme the show is heading towards then it is entertaining and thought provoking. My wife and I binged season 1.
I was left asking myself throughout the show are the 'divide and conquer' manipulations of a cult much different to corporations feeding on the insecurities of employees wanting to feel valued and more superior than their fellow peers?
What past experiences form and guide our moral compass and desires? Do good intentions become skewed once power is gained or promised?
Im really hopeful season 2 is produced and that the sci fi element is well developed and executed to provoke further rhetorical thought about what our personal definitions of 'free' and 'paradise' are.
